This is a basic Sudoku game. If you like Sudoku puzzles, that's what you'll get. There really isn't much extra to this game. I got this because I wanted a Sudoku game on my computer. There are lots of free options, but I'm anal and wanted it from Steam for easy access. Grab it on sale.

It's an OK game. However, the texture quality is really bad.. especially when playing on the resolution 1920x1080.
There is also no option to change the resolution, it's either you play the game full screen with crappy texture quality, or play the game in windowed mode with a resolution of 640x480.. there is not in between.

Nice ambience and background while you solve puzzles

Variety of difficulty level, you can start from an easy puzzle to a very hard one and everything in between

Full screen is a bit awkward but you'll get used to it

Worth base price

Does what it says it will. The puzzles on the highest difficulty level are reasonably challenging and it's a decent enough way to kill a few minutes.

There are 4 difficulties to choose from, and it's possible to note which numbers there could be in a square, plus the game has a hint system. You can even "import" (mark up yourself) puzzles from the newspaper.
In short, the game does what it claims, and solidly so.

NOTE: The amount of hours on this game per my account does not reflect ACTUAL game play, rather I forgot to turn it off before : 1)going out, 2)watching a favorite TV show, or 3)wanting to sleep.

Having said that, this game provides a good workout when you are 1)burning time before you go out, 2)waiting for a TV show to start, or 3)trying to mentally tire yourself out to go to sleep.

Sudoku is a humbling experience in logic... therefore I can appreciate this game as a teaching device.

I actually found the graphics lackluster, as though every image that was used was small and poor resolution but blown up to fit.

Very simple and easy to use. Has everything you need in a sudoku game. Only negative is that it's in low resolution, but other than that, a definite buy for a sudoku lover.

A very attractive looking and sounding sudoku game. It's quite relaxing, has several levels of difficulty and various gameplay options such as error notification on/off, highlighting selected rows, and the like. You can make notation numbers in squares, as well. The game looks horrible in full screen mode, so just play it windowed. Have it up alongside work or whatever else you're doing.

I wanted a game to play inbetween games, or relax with in the evening, and this is perfect.

It's calming, and very friendly to use. Plenty of options to help you along if you are new to Sudoku, such as hints with optional explainations, and being able to highlight rows, columns or squares.

I really like the ability of being able to 'pencil' in numbers too.

It's not widescreen, or even a high resolution, but you don't really notice this once you get playing.

It also cycles through various background 'scenes', so the game doesn't have the same old bland background all the time.

* Relaxing music, fun challenge.

* Full screen is almost a must, window is tiny on most resolutions used today. Wish they had the ability for windowed mode to be maximized and maybe stretch to screen size, but not an extreme issue.

Gets my recommendation if you're looking for a Sudoku game.

I have been a huge fan of this game and would have recommended it to anyone wanting to either simply have fun and zen at the level they're at, or to use this to really get better and faster at doing more difficult puzzles....however something has gone wrong with the sound files causing most sound effects and music to not fuction correctly. As their website is now down I can only imagine there is no support to resolve the issue. Unless they can resolve this issue I would recommend finding another way to play Sudoku than this program.

Four levels of difficulty, good highlighting features, easy grid for selecting numbers, and the ability to pencil in numbers which is typically necessary for the hardest puzzles. It's good as far as Sudoku is concerned. Now whether you like Sudoku or not is an entirely different subject.

Awhile back I had a very special request from a friend whose disability had progressed to a point where writing is no longer an option: Find a mouse only Sudoku game playable offline. So when I saw Zen of Sudoku, I picked it up.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RCaRVsTZHqg

When I first booted up, I ran into a problem. The game booted in Fullscreen Mode and immediately asked for my name. Without Onscreen Keyboard accessible due to fullscreen mode, I was unable to enter my name. I needed someone to type in my name before I could move on.

Once my name was entered everything was ok. Options let me change to Windowed Mode which is borderless allowing me to access my desktop easily. There’s no other accessibility options. No colorblind options or input configuration are found.

Gameplay so far has been point and click. To choose what number you would like to enter into the puzzle you can click numbers in a grid & click the one you’d like. The boxes are kind of small in windowed mode so some precision is needed. You can correct any mistakes however. When trying to use the keyboard to choose squares or enter numbers, I had no luck. So far it seems you need a point & click input but we’ll keep our eye out for any changes.

The game is a peaceful and relaxing. There’s no timer even on harder difficulties and you can stop at anytime and resume later if you’re feeling fatigued for just need a break. Audio consists of relaxing sounds but isn’t needed for gameplay.

Zen of Sudoku has been fun so far and will definitely satisfy any sudoku cravings. We’ll keep checking it out to see if gameplay changes or additional issues pop up, but the first look has easy to play as long as you can point & click.

A nice and simple little Zudoku game with some advanced features and tools that help you learn and solve Zudoku.
It also tries to make the experience relaxing with atmospheric sounds and backgrounds.

If you like Zudoku and want it on your computer this is clearly one good option.

This game works really well. No bugs or glitches, a really immersive soundtrack, and challenging puzzles make it well worth the few dollars. Also comes with in-game achievements for completing the more difficult puzzles without using any help or pencil marks, making the game somewhat goal oriented, instead of simply random puzzles to kill time. Great for any fan of traditional sudoku!

I should probably recommend this game since it's my most played game. Here's why: I love sudokus. Do you love sudokus? Then you should get this game! Here are some other reasons:

1. You save money because you don't need to buy new sudoku magazines and/or pencils!

2. It's a nice timesink and it helps you think logically.

3. It has several difficulties, so if you are a beginner you won't have a hard time solving the puzzles.

4. A good way to relax from a stressful day, or to wake up to in the morning. Make some tea/coffee/hot chocolate, put on some music and solve a puzzle!

There are probably tons of other reasons. But anyone can get this game, granted you have an interest in sudokus.
