About This Game

In an open sand box world you choose your allies, your enemies, what provinces to conquer, what castles to siege and what quests to embark on. With Fire & Sword builds and expands upon the highly regarded combat system from Mount & Blade: Warband. Firearms have been introduced to the battlefield. Additionally, muskets and pistols can now be used as sidearms in hand-to-hand combat to quickly drop your foes. In addition to the enhanced singleplayer mode, With Fire & Sword also provides a host of original multiplayer content including the new game mode: Captain.

It-s an interesting game and would be a lot better if it werent for the quest mechanics. I played this right after finishing Mount and Blade Warband and the way the use of firearms makes you change your strategy gets you thinking. I stopped playing because of the quest mechanics. It gets a little bit tiresome delivering letters to and for lords. The sidequests which were available in WB, like honing your skills and upgrading your men by taking on bandits, is virtually impossible here because they move too fast on the campaign map. With a little bit of tweaking it could be a lot better. Thumbs sideways. That being said, if you like MB, its worth trying out.

Hey play your friends in this battle game. Watch swords strike and bodies topple as you climb your way to the top of the leaderboards in an unforgittable chapter in the warblade action series. I reccommend this to anybody who like tabletop games and maps.

An enhanced XVII century Eastern Europe mod for Mount&Blade Warband.
Great writing, especially in original, quite interesting campaign, good picturing of historical times.
All of the above cover multiple irritating bugs.
But... it still feels more a mod than a full-scale game. Yet again M&B Warband has a bit of that feel too.

Good game but it's really meant for big M&B fans (Like me). Guns seem OP and there are many types of bandits that will try to kill you or capture you. Other than that if you're a big fan of the series its a must try. I recommend you get it on sale.
