THE BEST MOD FOR A GAME EVER !!!

This mod is a MUST have for all Mount & Blade fans. If you dont like gunpowder, bayonet charges and the best community ever, consider seeing a doctor.

Having spent 1000 hours in native M&B single- and multiplayer, this mod has given me at least 1000 hours more of game time, because of the player-arranged linebattles in this game.

This is what makes the game so much fun, the epic battles. :)
Sadly, the community is getting smaller each month, but there are still enough to keep some servers going and the linebattles are of course still going, so HURRY UP AND GET THIS, before you miss out on (in my opinion) THE BEST MOD FOR A GAME EVER !!!

This game... Wow...

Where to begin? Whilst controls may take time to get used to for the typical fps/tps shooter player, they work wonderfully when you get the hang of 'em. The gameplay is epic. Aside from the occasional glitch or silly-looking texture, or the constant racial slurs and overall annoying players (starts looking like the comment section of a popular YouTube video), not much broke my experience.

You have the simple deathmatch/ team deathmatch modes, an entertaining siege mode, and a few others i never really cared about, and then the Holy Grail in war-based games. Forever searched for and almost never found... The perma-death Battle mode.

Whilst it may seem silly to those who have never experienced it, the massive 200 player, perma death battles are not as frustrating or scary as they seem. Yes, the tension is always high. Yes, fighting and shooting is never really going to get any easier. Yes, matches may take a while. And yes, you may just be the first to die. But that all adds to the great feeling of it. When you finally get a good commanding officer, it all pays off. Charging an enemy encampment and being greeted with a hail of gunfire. Watching as your artillery pounds a hole in the wall, and your troops flood in and start spreading the pain. When you're in the midst of it, it feels dreamlike in scale.

When you die, you don't feel disappointed or dissatisfied. You feel a bit upset, yes, but also a little relieved. You can catch a break. You can start to watch. Spectating has never been so interesting. Seeing two grand armies clash. Watching as some hapless prisoner is executed via firing-squad. Observing as a front-line soldier is wounded and attempts to escape the fight, only to be shot in the back or taken prisoner. Watching the artillery fire, and pockmarks appear across the map. It seems so cinematic, yet in a fun way. It immerses you deeply.

Yet its not always serious. For those who just want some fun and games, there are RP servers. I recall fondly a battle set up by the admins. Our team consisted of Bagpipers. 97 players, all sporting kilts and bagpipes, formed in three neat lines. We made ready to charge. Slowly, like big, hairy, Scottish tanks, we made for their base. We played the tune of "Scotland Be Brave" as we marched forth, across the battlefield. We got midway, before their cannons opened fire. The cannonball ripped through our ranks and sent Scots flying. Still, we played on. Their Riflemen took aim, and fired in unison. Our men were falling, and with them, the last of our hope. Our tune changed to "Amazing Grace" as those still breathing marched on, falling one-by-one. The survivors were taken prisoner, and executed via an impressively long firing-squad. It was epic.

Many more stories of victory and defeat were created in my time of playing yesterday.

It is because of all this, that I can safely recommend this gamemode to anyone who enjoys a bit of slow-paced war. Those who don't, will still be entertained by the faster-paced gamemodes. So I guess I can recommend this to all gamers that enjoy action.

I hope you enjoy it as much as I do...
