Mixed Reality controllers and Oculus lefthand fixed

Sorry for the delay, guys! We have been busy working on new fancy features for you that should be out very soon. Furthermore, it's winter where we live, and our designer had a horrible case of the snoots over the holidays (it was really quite bad).

We left him in the woods to die, as is tradition, but he miraculously survived and came back knocking on our office doors after a few weeks. We gave him some water and he quickly came up with sketches for lefthand Oculus and Mixed Reality custom controllers.

This is how you know a designer is made of the right stuff. Competitors - are you even trying??

Oculus + Windows MR controller fixes coming

Known controller issues

Windows Mixed Reality controllers are mapped in a wrong way, but don't worry! This will be fixed asap. Other than that, Oculus controllers do not change indicators if you switch to lefthanded mode. We are also on the case here.

SteamVR-Oculus integration issues - "grey room"

We are using SteamVR to provide support for Oculus users. In some versions, this can cause issues outside our control.

Some Oculus users report occasional startup issues where Oculus "takes over" for SteamVR during runtime, causing either strong lag or just seeing a grey room with no controllers.

To fix this, try closing both Oculus and SteamVR (including all background tasks), and starting first Oculus, then SteamVR, allowing SteamVR to "take over".

Enabling "direct mode" can also fix this problem.

About This Software

Kodon is a virtual sculpting tool under development (Early Access - so far 70% complete). We are offering Kodon at a lower price before it's done to get in contact with enthusiasts and to get some monetary support to help us develop it.

Kodon aims to become a semi-pro / pro tool that can compete with the existing desktop alternatives for model creation.

When Kodon is ready for release, it should be an immersive VR experience for people without any art skills, and a powerful productivity tool for people with art skills who want to create or edit 3D models.

Kodon will also have a desktop mode allowing you to easily switch between desktop and VR editing.
