Get it on sale, never buy any Sims game at full retail price, if there is another game (The Sims 4) in the series.

EPs I recommend; Pets, Seasons, Generations, University Life and Supernatural.

These together add to a massive amount of replay value and is the ultimate realism (excluding SN) if you're doing Legacies, etc. Avoid Islag Paralagalot (Island Paradise; unless you're OK with having to delete, remove or modify loads of ♥♥♥♥)

If you get pets; and I cannot stress this enough, turn Pets off in story progression after two sim days to avoid lag / stuttering when spawning strays (and this game loves spawning strays).

Again, if you buy this full price, just expect a lot of content but a lot of bugs, etc. there are mods that contain patch fixes etc, but quite a few of them are out of date or are featured in another mod, for example "No Fridge Shopping" removes the option to buy food; which is what was needed, but adds silly recipes for them and can't be changed without having to change ♥♥♥♥.

- Built a house with no doors
- Let some people inside
- Closed up the walls
- Lit the house on fire
- Listened to the screams of the burning innocent people

Then I went home and played the Sims 3, it was ok I guess

What can I say?

The sims is a game series, thats been around for a long time.
I personaly love this game, with or without mods
I have almost all the expansion packs, and yes, they do add more fun,but the base game is just as good

Like games where you play god, have a family, and play out real life?
Then, this game will be your favorite
I'd rate this game a 8/10,it just needs a bit more to it,yes,Expansion packs are a thing, but what if someone can't buy them, the base game can be a bit flat.but an otherwise great game.

Single, balding male, lives alone, no friends or family.

Hungry, so he buys a pizza.

No drive to find a job, finds out he can easily hack on his new computer to make money.

Earns over $200 dollars first time hacking.

Puts away left over pizza, goes to bed.

Wakes up, eats some left over pizza and decides to master his logic to hack further.

Months later, becomes extremely logical to the max.

Hacks again, makes 2-300 dollars.

Devestated by his failure to excel at hacking, he adopts a baby.

Baby arrives next day, signs papers and the adoption agency leaves.

Builds doorless room around baby.

A week later, agency finds out about mistreatment of child and teleports baby out of home.

Sim kills himself.

The job I'll never have.
The house I'll never be capable to buy.
The car I'll never be capable to pay.
The girlfriend that friendzoned me.
The life that I dreamed.
10/10 would feel depressed again.

So disappointed. I'm a struct engineer and just want to create a house and experiment with the look and feel. I bought the Sims through steam and wow.... It's like buying a demo. Everywhere you click "HEY, UPGRADE FOR 2000 SIM COINS!" Did I buy this game? It certainly doesn't feel like it.

This is unacceptable. It doesn't feel like a game, if feels like a torrent site filled with adds. I'll never support this franchise - greedy pigs. Disgusting.
