My male Sim met an alien lady.
Got into an intergalactic relationship with her.
Kissed under a full moon.
Made out on the couch with 2 peeping tom zombies.
And then my male Sim got abducted by aliens while holding a pot of hot spaghetti.

This game. Holy Moly how do you review a game like this?
First and Foremost: This game is good. Really, Really good.
Its funny, its charming, its downright adorable at times.
The base game itself has so much content, and each DLC pack just adds more and more (please wait till sales, however)
In a single gameplay, My sim family has:
-A heartbreaker
-A loyal husband
-A football player
-A game developer
-Two twins becoming a master chef and a business CEO
-and two robots, one sentient, the other a cleaning maid.
Live out your fantasies.

This very game to be homest has to be one of my favorites. Sure, i have a work PC, and most of the time things freeze, take too long for loading, or become blurry, but that all aside, this holds a place in my heart.

I mean sure, my first Sims game was practically like the PC versions, (Unless you count Freeplay, then who am i to judge) But this game combines what 1 and 2 did perfectly. It's a good thing you have an open world to explore this time around, instead of 1 (Heck, if you even call it open-world exploration) or 2. If you need a impending decision of which Sims game to get first, don't get 4. This one is better.

Sure, it may lag your computer some, and DLCs are over-priced, but heck, who can't pass up traveling the world, getting the profession of your dreams, own a perfect pet, experience the supernatural, Live in a bustling club-filled city, be a singer, go to college and have the time of your life, experience all four seasons, Make all ages have perfect family time, Live the island life, and even travel to the future? It all sounds like a dream to me.

Please, if you're looking for the perfect life simulation game, buy the sims 3.

oh yeah, and you can also make them to have sex.

Endless stories to invent and play with. Poor/rich, happy/sad, (un)lucky families, the only limitation is your imagination. Old but gold

I bought the Sims (TM) 3 on sale. I have played the original one and the second one aswell so I knew what I was buying. I bought 5 DLCs aswell; Seasons, Generations, Pets, Film and Supernatural. It all came to about 20 £ or 20 USD. I have played it for sometime, just to see what it is. Here is my opinion on it:

It doesnt get more causal than this. There is no end goal at all. Just buying stuff, and making the sims interact with eachother. You can give your sims a life goal. I have not tried to achive that yet. As of now I am in a relationship. We have a dog. And he and I get to work. Then I buy stuff and then I wonder "What am I doing?" I dont know if I find it boring or funny or what.

As I said, I knew what I was buying, but it was more for curriosity of the franchise that I bought it. Especially out of curioisty for the many, many, many DLCs for the game. I bought 4 DLCs and I dont understand how they work. Are they in the game? DO I have to play other maps to use it? How do they change anything? I see that some Sims are now zombies. I guess that is the supernatural one. Also there are animals running around. I guess those are the pet ones.

So the "game" is a... thing you do. And I guess its okay. What I find objectionable is the ingame currency thing. I have bought 5 DLCs and it feels almost like I just get the option to buy more things with REAL money. I can buy things in the Sim store with more real money (not sim money). I dont feel there is much add-on things I can buy in-game with the DLCs.

I really dont like micro-transactions in game. But I guess that is what I get for buying a EA game.
Also the whimsical soundtrack annoys me.

Now... Why do I still recommend it? Because you should know what the game is. And if you like this types of games, the drawbacks is just a reminder. If you like soap-opera games, where the charaters live theire lifes and do nothing but exist, and you dont get depressed or sucidal by it, then this game gives what it says.

What can I say?

The sims is a game series, thats been around for a long time.
I personaly love this game, with or without mods
I have almost all the expansion packs, and yes, they do add more fun,but the base game is just as good

Like games where you play god, have a family, and play out real life?
Then, this game will be your favorite
I'd rate this game a 8/10,it just needs a bit more to it,yes,Expansion packs are a thing, but what if someone can't buy them, the base game can be a bit flat.but an otherwise great game.

Single, balding male, lives alone, no friends or family.

Hungry, so he buys a pizza.

No drive to find a job, finds out he can easily hack on his new computer to make money.

Earns over $200 dollars first time hacking.

Puts away left over pizza, goes to bed.

Wakes up, eats some left over pizza and decides to master his logic to hack further.

Months later, becomes extremely logical to the max.

Hacks again, makes 2-300 dollars.

Devestated by his failure to excel at hacking, he adopts a baby.

Baby arrives next day, signs papers and the adoption agency leaves.

Builds doorless room around baby.

A week later, agency finds out about mistreatment of child and teleports baby out of home.

Sim kills himself.

The job I'll never have.
The house I'll never be capable to buy.
The car I'll never be capable to pay.
The girlfriend that friendzoned me.
The life that I dreamed.
