Usually I don't like racing video games. When I was younger me and my brother used to play the demo of Need for Speed Hot Pursuit 2 from a CD-ROM which we got from a cereal box and we had wicked fun. When I saw that there's a reboot of the Hot Pursuit series I was sceptic but the child in me said that I should buy it for old times sake.
Man I'm glad I did, it took me only a few minutes to set up a game and start driving I've instantly felt the nostalgic feeling, the same thrill of playing the game. The gameplay is smooth, polished and simple. There's no car customization and no story It's just pure old-fashioned driving fun. The graphics and cars are gorgeous and it runs well even on a laptop. I highly recommend it to anybody who is just looking for an arcade-type simple racing game to have fun and just relax, I think Need for Speed Hot Pursuit is the best choice on the market.
The only thing I didn't like about the game is perhaps the lack of advanced graphical settings and the default controls (which can be remapped in no time). It's still a much better console port than for example the terrible terrible Burnout Paradise which I wish I haven't bought.
