Acerca do Jogo

Medieval II: Total War Kingdoms is the official expansion to last year's award-winning Medieval II: Total War, presenting players with all-new territories to explore, troops to command, and enemies to conquer.

Kingdoms is the most content-rich expansion ever produced for a Total War game, with four new entire campaigns centered on expanded maps of the British Isles, Teutonic Northern Europe, the Middle East, and the Americas. In Medieval II, you were only given a tantalizing glimpse of South America, but in Kingdoms, vast tracts of land in both North and South America have been opened up for you to conquer. All-new factions from the New World are also now fully playable, including the Aztecs, Apaches, and Mayans.

Along with the new maps in the Britannia, Teutonic, Crusades, and New World Campaigns, there are 13 new factions to play, over 110 units to control, and 50 building types, adding up to 80 hours of new gameplay. Kingdoms also offers new multiplayer maps and hotseat multiplayer, a first for the Total War series, allowing you to play one-versus-one campaign games on the same computer.

  • Four new campaigns - Britannia, Teutonic, Crusades, and New World
  • 10 new units
  • 13 new factions
  • 9 new agents
  • 50 new buildings
  • 60+ new territories across four new maps
  • 15 new multiplayer maps and scenarios
  • All-new 1v1 hotseat multiplayer campaign mode

Good to play, especially after you've playes Rome Total War. This game is even better with mods. It is based upon Turn Based Strategy and Real Time Strategy. I will warn you, the turn time is different from Rome Total War. In Rome Total War 1 turn was 6 months. On this game 1 turn is 2 years. I suggest you change it which you can get help to do that. It will give you more time to play the game and you won't be rushed with only 200 turns.

THE pinnacle of Total War "genre". It is by far the most well-done and entertaining game in the whole series, with nothing that came after it coming even close to its glory.

While of course it has its cons, such as lack of multi-core support, on recent rigs it handles battles up to ten thousand men with no problem.

However, what is the best about this title, is the modding community. You will find mods for everything, even vaguely medieval related: Call of Warhammer (Warhammer Fantasy), Third Age Total War (Lord of the Rings), Stainless Steel (Medieval Europe, basically M2TW how it should've been), Westeros Total War (Game of Thrones) and many others.

If you are a medieval warfare fan, this is a must-buy.

But, as I want to be fair to everyone who might be willing to buy this game, let me list the greatest cons game has:

- Without mods, it's "just" good.
- Steam Version contains a bugged, idiotic "launcher", that makes launching mods difficult
- AI is not the brightest at times
- Steam overlay tends to crash battles
- City battles are seriously lacklustre ( they are made enjoyable only recently in Rome 2 Total War )
- Crossbowmen will not fire from walls
- Without mods, there are a few quirks the game has (cavalry charge lacking "mass", AI stupider than it has to be, etc)

OVERALL, in my humble opinion, this is _THE_ grand strategy/battle game of choice. Don't be fooled by my hour count on steam, I have owned the game since its launch, and have clocked over two thousand hours in this... which, I think, shows just how good the game is.

Medieval II: Total War - Kingdoms is a strategy games and a expansion pack to the previous Medieval II: Total War. This expansion adds about four standalone campaign that focus on their own theatre. There is the American campaign where you can play as the Spanish and try to conquer the new world or play as the native such as the Aztecs and drive the Spanish invader back to the sea. There is also the Crusader campaign where you can play as the Crusader State or as the Saladin. The rest are the British mainland campaign and the Teutonic campaign. Each of these standalone campaign offer unique total war experience as they are very focused on each campaign and good for wasting time. I recommend this.
