About This Game

Behold disciples of Nod, for the end is soon upon us. Electronic Arts’ award-winning and best-selling Tiberium saga is coming to a powerful conclusion with Command & Conquer 4, which will introduce a multitude of innovations to the classic fast and fluid Command & Conquer gameplay, while retaining the core compulsions that fans have come to love over the series’ history.
It is the year 2062 and humanity is at the brink of extinction. Tiberium, the mysterious, alien crystalline structure that has infested Earth for decades and served as the primary reason for years of relentless conflict between the Global Defense Initiative (GDI) and the Brotherhood of Nod, is close to rendering the planet uninhabitable. Mankind is on the verge of extinction when Kane, Nod’s prophetic leader, emerges from seclusion to deliver GDI the message that he has developed a system that could control Tiberium and harness its power. But he cannot build this "Tiberium Control Network" without GDI’s cooperation. Thus, the two opposing factions – GDI and Nod – inevitably find themselves in desperation for the same cause: to stop Tiberium from extinguishing mankind.
After 15 years, the network is nearly complete, Tiberium is under strict control and our revitalized, newly terraformed planet is on the cusp of a new age of prosperity and progress. It is then that the world’s citizens begin to seriously ponder why Kane chose to help, and what will he want in return. These questions and more lead to the dramatic final act of the Tiberium saga.
With a multitude of innovative new features to the fast and fluid C&C gameplay, Command & Conquer 4 offers players an entirely new way to play C&C. An all-in-one mobile base, persistent player progression across all game modes that is constantly updated in a real-time online profile, a 3-class system for each of the two factions, co-operative play, and a 5v5 objective-based multiplayer mode that promotes teamwork and social interaction, make Command & Conquer 4 unlike any other C&C experience.
  • The Epic Conclusion of the Saga - Kane returns in the thrilling conclusion to one of gaming’s longest running storylines, told through gritty live-action cinematics. Choose to take on the campaign solo or team up with a friend and play cooperatively!
  • Choose Your Class - Choose from three unique classes from both GDI and Nod, each with its own specialized units and powers, for more strategic and combative options that match your play style of choice! Offense, Defense, or Support classes—which will you pick?
  • Always on the Move - For the first time ever in the C&C series: a massive, mobile, all-in-one base, The Crawler, lets you pack up and move your base with your army for a new layer of strategic depth. Build units as you move across the field, and deploy whenever and wherever you choose!
  • Persistent Player Progression - The more enemy units you destroy, the more experience points you earn to progress your player profile! Level up to unlock new units, powers, and upgrades to make your army more powerful!
  • Team Up and Take the Battle Online - Join your fellow commanders online and tackle your opponents in the biggest C&C multiplayer to date, featuring 5 vs 5 objective-based battles! Choose your favorite class and take online strategy action to the next level as you conquer objectives while pummeling your enemies. The all-new party system lets you move with your party of friends from one online battle to the next.

Hilariously bad.

-Nothing like any of the other C&C games
-always online DRM required for singleplayer
-Kicks you out of the game if your connection drops ONE packet (yes even in singleplayer)
-they never bothered fixing any of the issues (I got the game when it came out)
-This is what happens when suits try to design a game

PLEASE TO ANYONE WHO IS INTERESTED IN THIS GAME. DO NOT BUY IT FOR THE LOVE OF GOD!!!!
i bought this game thinking that it would bring back some really good memories of the C&C series and due to the fact i played Tiberium Wars i thought this game would be exactly like that but i was so so wrong... Please... I waisted 20$ bucks on this game. Dont just watch the videos thinking its so cool with the classes and all but its not. Please dont waist your money on this Poor excuse for a C&C game. Go play the oldies. At least those games had style to em.

Pre-Release Review
started playing command and conquer since it came out in '95. this one is HORRIBLE. i was so jazzed up to see what would come next in the story after tiberium wars and kane's wrath and i was left with the utmost feeling of dissatisfaction. videos are cheezy and look poorly filmed. previous cnc games' vids felt almost like a movie. no base building? no harvesting? ea took a giant ♥♥♥♥ on this franchise and totally used the name of command and conquer to sell this turd under false pretenses. this is the worst thing to come out of ea; even worse than origin (which is saying something). i don't normally write reviews for games but this one was so crappy that it compelled me to tell people to stay away. STAY AWAY. erase this game from the saga just like indiana jones 4. 0/10.

Do not buy this, I have doubts that such a game even exists and that this is not elaborately programmed malware - I blacked out shortly after it finished installing and when I woke up my computer was on fire and the screen had a socket wrench jammed through it.

Took me almost half an hour to start this up because the required registration page wouldn´t allow me to create an account. (Support also requires you to be logged in already, I bet the guys at EA find that hilareous)

The point where I could not go on because it was so ultimately boring was about an hour into the game.
Until then I really suffered through the bad interface and the annoyingly low zoom out possibility.

There are other RTS franchises out there already that are a lot closer to what a good C&C used to be.
Have a look for them instead, your money is not only invested much better, they also actually deserve the support.

I had this in my library for quite some time since it was part of a bundle.
This was a good reminder for me why I stay clear from EA titles as much as I can.

This game is like a potato. This potato become raw. I one day saw the potato lying on the ground looking delicious so I decided to take a bite. The very second I took that bite I tried to chew through it and swallow it down my throat but no matter what! The potato was terrible and wasnt like his elder potatos relatives.

I wanted to like this game. I really did.
I even played 9 hours of it.
But I just can't.

This isn't even recognisable as Command and Conquer anymore. Don't buy this.

Pre-Release Review
This is not the C&C you know and love, but some kind of failed abortion of a game that should have never been brought into existence. Four... more like FOURGIVE ME FOR BE SUCH AN ♥♥♥ GAME. Also, why did the spelling of 'Tiberium' change to 'Tiberian' from C&C 3 to 4?

If you are contemplating buying this because of your history with C&C. Don't waste your time. A monkey could ♥♥♥♥ better game design. Do yourself a favor and keep your eyes off this one. I bought it on a whim thinking C&C? All the rest were good, why not this one? Immediately put-off by the no base/resource management system. Pick your class? When....when do you choose your class at all throughout this or Red Alert's game series'. What made them think this was a great idea? Innovation? CREATE A DIFFERENT SERIES! Everyone was expecting C&C, instead what we got was the pointy end of the sword that was shoved through the Tiberian series' back. Covered in straight up ♥♥♥♥.

(1)"This whole franchise is in danger of being covered in a huge cloud of.....sshhhhhit!"
(2)"Huge cloud of ♥♥♥♥?! Wooowww! I think I smell it, come on! Let's go! Come on Red Alert,Tiberian Sun!!............Hey everybody there's a ♥♥♥♥ cloud comin'! Run for your lives!"

*Original quotes taken from the movie "Kingpin", 1996. Actors (1) Woody Harrelson and (2) Randy Quaid.
