Now Available: The Sixth Age

Extra armaments and lightning-fast sieges! After the political reformation, expanded military schools and abundant treasure castles that characterised Fifth Age gameplay, the Sixth Age will force players to completely change gear. By increasing the pace of Kingdoms’ bread and butter gameplay, such as launching attacks and monking, the Sixth Age means to prepare you for the challenges to come…

You will need to keep your allies close and eyes open as you carve out a path for your medieval empire in this new age. Weapons are plentiful, diplomacy is limited and attacks are swift, so stay vigilant! Old enemies and new rivals may emerge as we prepare for the Kingdoms endgame.

Om dette spillet

Live the life of a medieval lord in Stronghold Kingdoms, the world’s first persistent castle MMO. A unique PC Strategy game, Stronghold Kingdoms brings together online interactivity and community, with a richly-depicted medieval world and thousands of real world players.

Besiege the castle that’s never been taken, overthrow ruthless tyrants, bankroll your faction’s war effort, pillage your neighbour’s resources, peacefully raise cattle or do it all! A range of stats, rankings and achievements gives every player something to aim for, from ‘Banquet King’ and ‘Peacebringer’ to 'Besieger of the Month' and ‘Lionheart'! Factions, elections, liege lords and their vassals all provide a real sense of structured community, with many different ways to chat with other players, discuss strategies and build allegiances.

While an impregnable castle should be at the heart of any lord or lady's domain, you can also specialise with a vast research tree. Starting as a humble peasant, each promotion brings with it valuable research points to spend on trading, diplomacy, warfare, farming, religion and more. Be aware though, as your power grows so does your responsibility. Your vassals and parishioners will look to you for guidance and leadership. You may find yourself fighting for the crown itself!

  • Build Your Online Stronghold - Crush the invading hordes with impenetrable castle defences. Then launch a counterattack!
  • Plot the Perfect Village - Plan your village layout, arrange buildings for maximum productivity and watch it come to life.
  • Explore a Vast Research Tree - Are you a farmer, trader, diplomat or warlord? Research new technology to specialise and gain the edge.
  • Fight For Your Faction - Join a faction, attack its enemies and return triumphant with their captured banners!
  • Play for Free! - Stronghold Kingdoms is free to play with no subscription or upfront payment required.

I played this game from thier website and it was completely awesome...at first. I even dropped a few bucks here and there to buy construction cards and whatnot. In order to build the best castle it takes months...that's right months to build a castle. The pace is sooooooo slow. The free to play or even the casual paid as I was, don't stand a chance. I was attacked by paid to play and was crushed dispite my army numbers and castle setup. This game is basically just a troll game. It's filled with trolls and it trolls you for your money.

If your looking for a review on this game you've come to the wrong place, but if your looking for an outstanding pie recipe you've come to the right place.

Ingredients:
1. 6 tablespoons unsalted butter
2. 1/2 cup white sugar
3. 1/2 cup brown sugar
4. 1/4 cup water
5. 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
6. 1 pinch salt
7. 5 apples - peeled, cored and sliced
8. 1 pastry for double-crust pie

Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C).
2. Combine butter, white sugar, brown sugar, water, cinnamon, and salt in a saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a boil, remove from heat and set aside.
3. Roll out half the pastry to fit a 9-inch pie plate. Place bottom crust in pie plate; pour in apple slices.
4. Roll out top crust into a 10-inch circle. Cut into 8 (1-inch) wide strips with a sharp paring knife or pastry wheel. Weave the pastry strips, one at a time, into a lattice pattern. Fold the ends of the lattice strips under the edge of the bottom crust and crimp to seal.
5. Pour butter-sugar mixture over top of pie, coating the lattice, and allowing any remaining sauce to drizzle through the crust.
6. Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes. Reduce heat to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C), and bake until the crust is golden brown, the caramel on the top crust is set, and the apple filling is bubbling, 35 to 40 more minutes. Allow to cool completely before slicing.

This game COULD have been really good, but there are a lot of problems.

-I'm a ♥♥♥♥ so everyone hates me
-The size of the settlements is super small which requires you to blob like France in EU4
-You can't blob because all the well-established rich players have gotten all the village spots
-I understand that F2P games need some sort of income, but the amount of "Pay to Win" on this is ridiculous. You need to pay to use vacation mode? Seriously? If I am going on holiday in a place with no internet access and no access to my computer and I don't pay you sons of ♥♥♥♥♥es money then all my stuff will get raided? Thanks.
-Talking of Pay to Win, it uses a Clash of Clans style of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ttery where people who pay can queue the construction of their buildings, which should be a normal game feature, which means that normal players have to eat up their time and come on CONSTANTLY. Great job. Way to take 90% of the challenge out of the game for rich people - oh wait, rich people only have a 10% challenge all of the time anyway
-Everyone I have met is so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ toxic
-They need to crack down on hackers more

However, there are some good points.

-As far as I am aware, this is the fist game of its kind, so it has originality on its side
-Nice constantly evolving entirely player-made politics and economies
-Uhhh.... um... crap. Nothing else.

Now some suggestions:
-If they just made it so you pay for the base game rather than pay to win, it would be amazing. I would happily pay like £10 for this game and play it if they removed all the P2W features
-If they added in actual control to sieges like in the original Stronghold, it would be amazing
-If two hostile armies crossed each other then there should be a battle
-It should take less time to build things
-Don't make the terrain of villages selectable, it should be static depending on the village's location - so only coastal villages can have salt, etc.
-Add in ports, which are valuable trade places and armies need to pass through them before crossing seas. If a hostile player owns the port, you cannot use it and need to capture it first. This would add in a lot more conflict to the game
-Dear God, MAKE IT SO EVERYONE CAN QUEUE CONSTRUCTIONS!

And because I left this game open for a long time, mostly by accident, this is creating a 140-hour ♥♥♥♥-stain on my games list. Thanks.

Pay to win. After countless hours of trying to keep up with the big boys, even carding myself and buying a few crowns here and there, you cant keep up with the elite who pay hundreds of dollars to own the map.

So after handfuls of new worlds and wasted money I have to say that no, I do not recommend this game.

At first, this game may seem quite fun and interesting. However, in a short matter of time becomes an immense time sink. Thats just the beginning of the problems with this game. SHK is a ptw game with a rather cancerous community. I had met some nice people, but the amount of backstabbing, scheming elitism that goes with this game is horrendous. If you are just starting out, be prepared to be run over repeatedly. Also the fact that practically any castle build can be cracked wide open with a single attack makes no sense and makes the time you took to build your castles pointless. And in SHK, it is conciderd "tactical" by the community of "pros" to attack someone when they are not online due to the fact that you can buy cards that can be used when online to help defend. SO after spending weeks, months of building villages and expanding, you can wake up one morning and find it all gone. Or if your lucky , maybe just a few of your villages will be captured or destroyed, along with a letter from someone telling you if you decide to try and do something about it, they will just send their entire faction of trolls after you. If you are retired and have all the time and money to burn on a pointless game, give it a shot. If not, stay away from this pile of $#!t.

There's an unfair balance of power in this game. I created a new village since my first one couldn't be expanded anymore. The moment I make another village, the parish leader attacks me for no reason. This is a pay to win game and all the powerful jerks all payed just so they can kick all the little players around. I was attacked by the capital he owned, than he attacked me with a large army and destroyed my villages. Don't play this since there are just guys who do nothing but bully all the other players.

This game has a very unique concept that I really like, build small village, watch it grow like a plant and be excited about your progress. You started with just a few peasents and a little bit of resources and you were able to make such an amazing settlement, you take a step back and look at how hard you've worked. Then all the players that sink a ton of money into the game come in and stomp all over it, even if you're playing it peacefully, not attacking others, only AI, and if someone attacks you and they explain that they have a perfectly good reason for it other than "just for the resources" or "for the fun of it", you just forgive them and never hold it against them. Well the Pay to Win players just attack for the fun of it, or to keep you from even getting up to where they are. The big dogs only see us small pups and the people that play this to have a good time and experience a new type of gameplay as a threat from the day we even drop into the server, and the game's PVP attack immunity doesn't even help, becuase the moment that goes away and they've had your eye on you from day 1, then nothing is stopping them from marching straight to your village, with 100+ troops, destroying the beautiful and incredible castle you worked so hard on. And once they destroy your castle, next thing you know, they already sent another army to clean up what the 1st one couldn't, then they kick you to the ground, spit on your face, and end your entire game there. Not even trying again will help you because then this entire process will start all over again.

The only way to win is to give the devs money, that's it. Real world money is what drives this entire game, not skill, not tactics, not teamwork of other F2P players like you that actually want to see what this game has to offer. Without giving money, these devs just throw you to the wolves, that's it, they don't care about all the higher up breaking the rules, as long as they keep giving money to stay ahead, then anything goes. I hate to see that a game this unique is completely ruined by money and people who stay on for literally months, that's right, MONTHS, on end and never even shut down the game just so they can watch over the little guy and plan on how to end them the very second they get.

This game would be great if the rich people and the higher ups didn't stomp on everyone who can't afford even the smallest in-game item like me. It would be better if it was better controlled, alt accounts are against game rules, but they don't have a way to enforce it, so you got 1 person, with a ton of money, creating 10+ accounts, ruling a huge chunk of land, sinking tons of money into those accounts, collecting all the resources they can get, just to hammer down all of the players that just want to explore the game.

This game needs to be better moderated, give the F2P players a fighting chance, and even out the balance of power, becuase all those are the reason I do not recommend this game.
