"A unique game for the series due to the castle and city mechanics. The campaigns are very fun and the units are very complex and unique for the factions"

Medieval II Total War, Yes it may not have GREAT graphics but it is amazing for when it was made aka, 2006. This game did have a few glitches and all but was an amazing game, using the Rome One Engine, and also having an amazing Modding community for which expanded the Total War series, from different Genres, for which when you look at this now Total War era, you see the ability not allowing Modders to change the game full way but only about Half way. Medieval II Total war shows a mix from the past to the Present day, and I think THIS game was the gateway from old Total War to the new. I love this game and its mods, like Stainless steel, Third Age, And if your a games of Thrones, there is a mod for that too! So if you love the Medieval Era, You love Total War Series, I recommend this game for you, I rate it 8/10!

Definitely must buy game. Also with Indians you'll enjoy more fun. For me 10/10

...and why?

-Azstec peasants are OP
-use the Azstec army ONLY with peasants (because they have maces)
-Russians are magicians
-NEVER lose your general otherwise you'll be broken
-also try to build some doggie army (optional)

Have fun

One of the best Total War for me. The game keep the original "taste" of the old ones. I played Napoleon: Total War and Rome 2, and i have to say that MTW2 looks much better in some parts. The battles are more "bloody" than the new ones. Also, Rome 2, looks unfinished and is poorly optimized (some stupid people say that Rome 2 the best Total War ever hahaha). I was "lucky" to play the 4 days trial. Many lag. Battles are clunky and the units looks like plastic T_T.

Anyway, MT2 it still be amazing game with that graphics (2006). I played with some graphic mods for enjoy it with my powerful PC. I will not think it more, and buy this AWASOME RTS game :)

I give this game 9 / 10

Played a while a go , got it now again .

Graphics - Still looking awesome
Sound - Those flaming peasants screams ... Delightful
Gameplay - Large scale massacre , Conquest , Dead bodies all over ... Yeah

The speech of general at the start of the battle , Priceless ...
There are some things Creative Assembly can't remake .

Whilst the graphics for this are slighlty outdated it has to be one of my favourite games of the series. The mechanics of the game feel fluid and very easy to grasp. Whether you have played the rest of the games in the series or this is where you want to start this game is fantastic. The mechanic to prevent you from recruiting armies of the best troops available and forces you to recruit a few lesser equipt units to bulk out your army.

Overall the game for me would score 8/10, it loses points down to the outdated graphics and the factions having very similar units along with the lack of naval battles. It does gain points due to the recruitment system and the fact that it feels very fluid and immersive

This is my go-to Medieval Grand strategy game, a classic that after years of playing is still tried and true a great game. Especially for those new to the genre or new to the total war series. A great game to learn the ropes of the TW style of games. Runs great my laptop (small, inexpensive Gateway running windows 8.1). I enjoy this game very much and encourage anyone who has not played it to get it, I don't think you wil disappointed, unless ofcourse these style games are not your cup of tea then well, your in the wrong place because this game is a shining example of Medieval blood shed at it 's best.
