About This Content

Only the host needs to own this DLC.

1-6 Players | Ages 14 & Up

60 Minutes & up.

Zombicide is a collaborative board game in which players take the role of a survivor – each with unique abilities – and harness both their skills and the power of teamwork against the hordes of unthinking undead! Using unique and clever mechanics, Zombicide is designed as a fully cooperative game where no player has to play as the zombies.

Each player controls between one (for 6 players) and four (solo game) survivors, humans trapped in a zombie-infested town. In fact, “survivors” quickly change to “hunters” to smash zombies through and through. However, the team must constantly maintain a balance between survival and slaughter, for as the zombicide continues, the Danger Level increases, and the infected grow in numbers. Any misstep can turn to disaster.

Zombicide is a fun and easy game with cool miniatures in an archetypical, popular and comics-inspired environment. Ambiance is constantly balanced between “beat’em up” and “survival horror” as survivors keep switching from prey to predators. Humor and gloom happily marry in a zombie-fest.

loving this add on so far! The only thing that I wish is that they would add the Season 2 and possibly season 3 items.
I personally own all of them and love playing them with friends, this plays just as well and is a great tool at introducing people to the game, especially those that live far awar.

I bought TTS and this game together during the Steam sale, and figuring this game out was my first experience with TTS, so I hope my review is useful to others in the same boat.

My first 45 minutes with Zombicide were infuriating, since I was trying to learn the controls for TTS and the rules for Zombicide at the same time. My girlfriend and I fumbled around, trying to figure out how to open the manual (press number keys), how to zoom on the manual (hover mouse and hold alt), what the hell to do with the map (page 11), how to unfreeze the character sheets (F) etc etc. The rulebook hasn't been adapted to TTS, there's no tutorial, and their gizmotron implementation is completely half-♥♥♥♥♥ (more on that later), so the initial learning curve was like a cliff and for a while I was beginning to regret the purchase.

Luckily, after getting over that first plateau you're basically rolling down a gentle incline. TTS starts to make sense and the Zombicide mechanics start to fall into place. It's definitely worth the first 30 - 60 minutes of raging at your monitor to figure out how this works.

Zombiecide
Zombiecide's mechanics are interesting and unique (afaik, I don't play massive numbers of tabletop games), and the cooperative nature of the game is awesome and a breath of fresh air for anyone who's sick of 99% of tabletop games being competitive (and it sure is nice to have another 6-player co-op game besides Killing Floor and Contagion on Steam). The quality of the presentation is high - detailed models, snazzy art on the cards and other playing materials, etc etc. Everything looks pristine even when you zoom way in on it.

TTS-specific
Keep in mind you're purchasing a board game, not a video game. There is very little automation - the maps are preassembled (a blessing if you hate putting map tiles together), some of the key pieces start prearranged on the table, you can use the gizmotron to (partially) enable guide markers on the map, and certain pieces snap into place (for example, equipment cards snap onto the card slots on the character sheets). To put it another way, if you already own the Zombicide board game, here's what you would get out of this TTS DLC: the ability to play online, some convenience features for setup, and the ability to save your game. Well, another nice feature is that you can shuffle a deck of cards instantly by pressing a button, and the cards will never wear out or get food stains on them.

There is no tutorial, no "how to play this game in TTS", so it really helps to already have some experience with TTS so that you know how to manipulate the various cards, books, and pieces that make up the game.

As mentioned, the gizmotron implementation is pretty half-♥♥♥♥♥. Not all of the important spaces on the map are marked with the gizmotron - it leaves out the starting zone for chrissakes. Some, but not all, of areas marked by the gizmotron include snapping - doors and spawn markers snap, but actual zombie figures do not snap. Is that a huge deal? No, but it's confusing at first ("why isn't this snapping? is this the wrong piece?")

As an owner of the Original Zombicide Board game i can say this is worth the buy as far as being able to play and learn the game. Ive see one negative review complaing about lack of automation and how long it takes to set up, but my guess is they were not familiar with TS and how everything works.

It automates setup enough so that it makes it alot faster and easier to set up any game board. PLUS im pretty sure its open to custom layouts and scnarios if one chooses.

The overall look of the figures as well as the back drop you play the game in is nice as well

PROS:
Its a fun game
great with friends
Easy to setup assuming you understand how TS works

CONS:
would be nice if the figure models were slightly animated (ive seen Free workshop games like heroquest that have animated models)
it would be neat to have a tablet for each player that actually runs the APP that you can download for your phone to automate attacking and leveling.

This is by far the best of the DLCs sofar. The presentation is amazing, the models beautiful and the setup quick and easy. Not to mention that this is a hilarious, tense and fun game.

Let's hope we will get more Zombicide DLC in the future!

One of the better Zombie themed board games. Don’t got any friends in real life? don’t worry you can find some online and play with them! If you want to play a coop board game with zombies and where everyone has his own survivor, then this game is the one to try! Find weapons, kill zombies. The more zombies you kill, the more skilled you get; the more skilled you get, the more zombies appear. Best of all when you're done with the missions that comes with the game you can go to their website and download over 30+ missions! Everything from 2 players to 6 player! Just remember don’t let the zombies eat your brains!

Fantastic and easy to use. This DLC is the digital version of the Zombicide base game. Scenarios and tokens snap to the board with an easy click. All scenarios in the base game are ready to launch, no assembly of tiles required (unless you build your custom campaigns). If you're scared of dropping $60-100 on the physical copy, you can't go wrong with the price here. A must own if you're a fan of zombicide.

Fun game, I like it a lot. It's like a hack and slash version of Dead of Winter. In fact, I was going to buy the real life game.

Then I saw they wanted $60 for it.

Look, this is a good game, but it's not a $60 game. I'd pay $40 and no more.

So I'm gonna stick with my DLC version for now and wait for a 33% off sale somewhere.

So, I was really excited for this since I'm a huge fan of Zombicide the board game. I own every product and then some so this was a no brainer. However I am really disapointed with this purchase. I was hoping for some automation involved yet it was exactly (with more difficulty moving stuff around and a good 30 mins to figure it all out to begin with) like playing what I already own. The only way I can this game being worth it to me is if I played with out of state friends, if thats your case go for it. however setting up the pc version was so much more time consuming than my regular game.

Zombicide is a great board game, and I was so excited when it appeared under DLC for Tabletop. Its Zombicide, but easier to get people together, (everyone can be at home and still have a board game night, basically why Tabletop Sim is so good) but also you can save at any time and dont have to worry about leaving it set up somewhere in your house. Some levels can be very long!

If you like Zombicide, buy this

If you and your friends like board games in general, buy this

I would recommend playing this with friends you know and can talk to. You will have a much better time.

I was on the fence of buying Tabletop Simulator for a long time. Until today. I bought a four-pack and the Zombicide DLC so I can play the game with my family who live on the other side of the continent. We used to play together a _lot_ over the holidays when I visit.

This DLC was my first time playing Tabletop Simulator, but man, the experience was absolutely fantastic. I love the organization of all the pieces and the high resolution of all the manuals and FAQ booklets are an awesome addition.

They also did a great job with all the minis and it is super easy to set up a board.

I'll definitely be buying the other seasons of Zombicide if/when they come out.
