About This Game

Trapped Dead is a tactical real time strategy game in the tradition of classics such as "Commandos" and "Desperados". You and your friends control your characters in a 3rd person isometric view through a mature Zombie survival scenario inspired by the successful horror films of the early '80s. A co-op mode for up to 4 players is included as well.
The story takes place in the early 80s in a small town names Hedge Hill near Kansas City, Missouri. The sowing of a new genetically modified type of corn caused the existence of a new virus which mutated through the natural food chain. A dog bite of an infected animal caused a local outbreak of the virus which rapidly infected the inhabitants of the idyllic provincial town. Mike and Gerald, two college boys, are thrown into the middle of a terrifying horror scenario. Having pulled over to a gas station near Hedge Hill during what was meant to be an enjoyable road trip, they are unaware of the virus which has already reached the gas station and its staff…

Score: 1/5; I do not recommend Trapped Dead

PC; Win 10 64-bit; Trapped Dead v1.1.0.0
uncompleted; playing time: 3 hrs

+ an interesting beginning of the game at the gas station, promising an engrossing continuation
+ noteworthy mechanics of presenting the stages of the plot

- controls are rather annoying; you have to use the keyboard to move the camera
- there are no settings - no audio or video settings..., nothing...
- most importantly, the game won't run; I tried to run it several times and most of the times it wouldn't run; I managed to only run it twice
- above all, Trapped Dead caused my computer to reset several times; this is the first time that any game on Steam has done so, which makes it worthy of a negative review...

All in all, I suggest avoiding this game. Although the setting and the presentation seem interesting (provided you actually manage to run the game), Trapped Dead clearly suffers from serious technical problems which go far beyond its pesky controls or even lack of any settings. Due to the risk of accidental resets, it is likely to be dangerous to your computer, putting your computer file integrity at risk. It's a crying shame as, in my opinion, the game has got great potential...

I played the single player for n hour, i didnt like it so much, i then tried it with a friend and it was a lot better, now if only i could get a four player game going, i am willing to bet that would be a blast. i only have about 4 hours spent with this game, but so far i say that i like it, in so far as you have a zombie killing team.

Okay, this is not a good game. This is A GREAT GAME! This game is AWESOME.

I was longing to play a zombie game that has slow moving yet scary zombies, and this gives me that. The environment is great, the difficulty is awesome. It doesn't throw countless zombies at you. The zombies are few, but tackling even two of them together can be dangerous. You got to keep devising plans to isolate each one so that you can kill it before another one reaches you.

The controls are a bit clumsy. But it is not impossible to get used to. I took an hour to tap the right key/button. Main things in control are:-
- most control is mouse-centric
- after the first level, you control two or more players. So, you have to select the player you want to act as and perform the action.
- I couldn't read it mentioned anywhere, but it seemed like the characters got stronger in the skills you used them for, and some innate skills
- to save the game, you need to bring all the playable characters to the savepoint (manhole)

i rarely write reviews, and they are never this elaborate. But i was shocked to see only 36% positive reviews on a game that is one of the most realistic feeling yet fun zombie game I have played.

The game might be a repititive, but do you really expect to see Shakeera dancing for you in a zombie apocalypse game!

My opinion... get this game and push yourself for the first couple of hours... this might become one of the most absorbing games you have played... and yes, i have played it single player..
