OMG. Just completed this game and I'm SO HAPPY I got this game (from kangarooster)!
The game is a click game with alot of clues and puzzles. I must confess that I did sometimes follow a walkthrough because I couldn't be arsed to think for myself, but it does NOT destroy the experience since the story is so amazing. Actually got teary eyes at the end.

This is a game worth playing for just the story itself and I completed it in just over 6,5 hours, so just enough for this sort of game. PLAY IT! <3

It's a fun and a addicting game. Remembered playing this game back in the 2000s on my 64 X2 rig.

It might be good for a 2004 game, but not recommend in 2014. Terrible graphic, old story. It's waste of time playing this game and not worth your money at all.

Excelente adventure no estilo point and click. A estória é bem interessante embora alguns dos quebra cabeças não façam muito sentido. Recomendo para os fãs do estilo.

I'll just copy/paste my review of Syberia here because you will want to play this if you liked the first one.

This is one of those games that is hard to take a break from. You want to know what's next in the story.
Well written and entertaining.

Excellent storyline defines this game's playability. Although the theme of the story doesn't seem special at all, but designers must be complimented for building a haunting gameplay upon it. Elements of longing, mysticism, fantasy, and mystery are well-blended, and make you want to play further and further. Dialogues are well-written and entertaining. Visuals are nothing special. While playing it on a 24" 1080p monitor wasn't a great experience--the blurry edges around all objects were quite visible, they didn't impede my enjoyment in any sense. Puzzles are quite straight-forward, and don't require any critical thinking skills on your part; you just have to be alert to your surroundings at all times. If there's an object or character that you can interact with, be assured it has some use in the game.

The only major irritant in the game is its tedious gameplay. Your character will need to walk around a lot in order to figure out the problems and proceed further in the game. All that could've been bypassed by making the character appear at the location of interest with a single click. But no, the designers make you watch the character walk all the way to the desired location, which will make you impatient; you might even turn-off the game in anger--only to return a few hours later :).

SCORE: 7/10 (3 points deducted for tedious gameplay, average visuals, and unintelligent game design)

PS: To play the complete story, you will need to play this game after Syberia. Having said that, for some reason if you decide to play this game only, you will be briefed about what happened in the first episode via an option in the main menu.

WHat a wonderful sequel. One of the few that is as good as the first. Play Syberia first before you play this. This game is worth every penny. It's fun, it's casual, has good graphics and a good story line.

PROS:
+ More cinematics
+ Voice acting better than episode I
+ Does not have the graphics problem episode I had with switching to windowed mode in-game

CONS:
- Story STILL does not go anywhere
- Voice acting (English) still a bit silly

REVIEW: Let’s be honest: if I hadn’t purchased Syberia II along with Syberia I as a super-cheap combo pack, I wouldn’t have bothered at all. Everything that is “good” about Syberia II is only relatively good when compared with the terrible Syberia I; there is nothing superlative about any facet of this game.
A good thing about this game is that it has more cinematics than its predecessor. A game that sells itself on story should have many movies, and there are some here. For a game released in 2004 the visuals are not bad, but they haven’t aged well at all and alone they shouldn’t induce you to buy this game. Furthermore, the voice acting won’t make you wince as often; as when intonation is way of or a word is mispronounced, but you will definitely notice strange moments in the dialogue.
The main draw of this game is supposed to be the “amazing story” but here is the problem: it never develops beyond the premise that your protagonist wants to help an old guy reach Syberia (and still features the intelligence-insulting idea that he couldn't have gotten there when he built the rails the first time).

In general, stories depend on the quality of conflict for their weight, and the weak opposition and half-sketched puzzles (either extremely easy or nonsensical due to total lack of clues) simply don’t contribute any to a satisfying conclusion. It’s more like you progress through a series of trivial events and the game stops. Even in its most pretentious moments trying to induce pathos, the characters never manage to be any more impactful than a mildly annoying fly at the dinner table.

So what should induce you to buy this game? I can only imagine it must be the inflated ratings it seems to be getting elsewhere (why I tried when both games together were $3). Don’t bother unless you have time to waste and the patience of Job for flimsy characters (slightly less) annoyingly voiced.

SPOILER PLOT COMPLAINT: One more thing I could leave off here-I couldn't believe it but the developers actually show you going so far north that you see Antarctic Emperor Penguins. Come on, were they complete idiots, or did they just think I'm one?

Just like the first one, incredibly slow. I guess that's the thing with adventure games, but I feel like they're dumbed down in such a way to drag along as much as possible. Anyway.. Don't have the patience for it. Maybe after I finish every other game I want to play. Just sayin'

I played the first game as well because I bought both in a pack. I was hoping some things would improve but it was pretty well exactly the same for problems I had with the first one. Good graphics, challenging puzzles, captivating storyline. What I didnt like about this game - lots of sections where you could walk to the edge of the screen, but there was no sign of that from the mouse (meaning it only lit up in certain spots telling you to go there but not in others), you had to figure it out yourself and that got me stuck a few times not knowing where to go. Also, there were a lot of sections to walk thtough that were pointless. Couldn't pick anything up, couldn't do anything in them. They were jus there for graphics and when you are running back and forth trying to figure out a puzzle thats a pain. I like challenging puzzles but some of the puzzles were insane and there was no hint option or anything which I also didn't like. Wouldn't play the series again.

It's a very strange game, and not my type. I can't even use WASD. And it can be very hard to figure out what to do, I'n stuck at the trainstation, don't know how to fill coal on the train or open a gate. I do NOT recommend it.
