Despite all the negativity, this is a fairly decent game. Had some issues towards the end, with major in-game lag, but overall it was quite fun once I adjusted. Grab it on special if you can, well worth a dollar or two.

This game is from 2003: no health regen, and no auto save. If you run and gun, you're gonna have a bad time. Think your steps through and make use of your augments, and all will be well.

P.S. Don't judge the game on the prologue, which is quite bad. It really does improve once it gets going properly.

Played on Windows 10 Pro x64.

I played the game about three times through (outside of Steam). It was my first shooter with augments and that really added a lot to the usual common fps I played before. A more immersive Sci-Fy feeling. It's a while since I played it the last time but if I remember right you get pretty much after each map a new neuronal augment and the augments you already have improve the connection and co-working with the brain, so you can use them longer in the new, and all further, mission. Of course you also get new weapons and you can combine multiple augments and bind these combinations to differen hotkeys, that let's you prepare for every coming situation the right "booster-combo". There are also some tough sniper episodes which I liked. If you play Chrome on the harder levels it's a tough game and a good challenge. All this creates a strong motivation.

At moment you get Chrome and SpecForce ("Chrome 2") together for one dollar. http://store.steampowered.com/sub/4340/

If you don't care that Chrome has older - but not that bad - graphics it provides you a lot of fun for a dollar.

Surprisingly, this game seems to have a big following. But it is really nothing special. Leaving graphics out of the equation since this game came out in 2003 obviously.

-The controls suck.
-The AI is nonsensical.
-Some mission triggers are broken, others are a bit bugged.
-The story is mediocre.
-The UI seems lazily designed.

It's really just not a good game, and it doesn't matter how much you throw around "it came out in 2003" into the mix. You know what games came out in 2003?

Call of Duty
Knights of the Old Republic
Manhunt
LOTR:Return of the king
Star Wars:Jedi Knight - Jedi Academy
Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time
Medal of Honor: Rising Sun

This game is nowhere near in quality to any of the games I just mentioned, especially not the shooters. The original COD? MoH Rising Sun? Put this game to shame. 1/5. This was a poor effort.
