In my humble opinion, this is the greatest ARPG ever created, enhanced by the fantastic mod support that the community has used to the fullest. The class system is amazing, allowing you to combine two out of nine mastery trees to make your own unique class with an incredible amount of customization. You have the fully offensive, close-quarter mastery Warfare, which revolves around duel weidling weapons and becoming a whirlwind of AoE and single target damage, at the cost of defence. Ranged masteries like Hunting which allows you to deal huge amounts of damage from a distance, and debuff your enemies defences. Magic masteries such as Spirit, which allows you to drain the life from your enemies! And 6 other unique and exiting masteries.

The world is vibrant and beautiful, starting in Greece, them moving to Egypt, then China, and with the DLC, even into the domain of Hades himself! The quests while perhaps a little generic, are very fun and easy to follow, and often give satisfying rewards along with a nice chunk of EXP and Gold! Not to mention the amazing loot you will find along your journey.

All in all it is a wonderful game, one of my all time favourites, I highly reccomend checking it out. And if you enjoy it, keep an eye on Grim Dawn, a game being developed by many of the same people that made Titan Quest, it promises to be an equaly enchanting ARPG set in the Victorian times!

Legendary old game. One of the best clone of Diablo. Nice story, beautiful gameplay, epic bosses, funny multiplayer. And of course, fantastic locations: Ancient Greece, Egypt, Gods and Titans. Recommended to all. Buy it and enjoy. 10/10. Have fun.

Titan Quest Gold Review
(TQ+TQ:IT)

This is one amazing ARPG. I first played it when Titan Quest came out in 2006 (Titan Quest: Immortal Throne is simply the expansion which came out in 2007) and ended up spending hundreds, maybe thousands of hours playing it - there is simply something special about it.

The negative:

The game has some bugs that were never fixed (as Iron Lore ended up closing down before any major patches were released) but it's nothing game breaking. In addition, we're expexting some patches to come through from Nordic games in the near future.

Another aspect that is worth noting is the fact that this game has no randomization (though it didn't stop me from spending a BIG portion of my time playing it).

The positive:

First of all, the game takes place in an alternative ancient world - the devs decided to take myths and legends from all over the world and use them as a base for the game's story and the result is astounding. Not only is the story very interesting but devs and the the voice actors did an amzing job presenting it to the player.

In addition to the enthralling story the game offers a total of 9 masteries of which you get to combine 2 in order to create a unique build to suit your personal play style (You can choose your second mastery after level 8).

Another major aspect of the game that is worth mentioning is the environments - let's just say that they are breathtaking. You can really see all the hard work that went into making this game.

Last but not least, the game is long. I'm currently replaying it and at 10+ hours I haven't even gotten through Act I, and there's a total of 4 Acts + 3 difficulties!!! It's bound to keep you playing for a long time.

The conclusion:

All in all, this game has a lot to offer to those who are willing to spend some time with it. Sure, it has some bugs, but what game doesn't? And unlike most games, it offers a very solid story combined with great audio and visual effects as well as a rather unique skill system.
I would recommend this game to any fan of the ARPG genre. It's not too late to try it out!

I will not go on and on and explain how the game was solid in every area (but didn't shine in one specific area), but I will go on to say this... the game felt too long. Do not get me wrong, some of my favorite games of all time are extremely long. The story, gameplay and class mechanics do not captivate one nearly long enough to play for the absurd amount of time it takes to complete this game...

Apparently there are mods for this (didn't know this at the time) so that probably makes it less tedious through and through. But damn, how many times do the developers expect me to bait and kill before I can just move on to the next zone? One can say this is a fairly difficult hack and slash, where you need to allocate your build points wisely or you'll find yourself at a disadvantage, quick.

Back to my point, the game is just ridiculously long. There is a abundance of different class styles to try, yet I only was able to try one of them, because by the time I had beaten the game, only a gun pointed straight at my head would compel me to launch it again, and start all over. Recommended, but do NOT get sucked in (I realize this is my own fault), play this in short bursts

Titan QUest is a really fun game. The first time i played the game it was nearly 3 years ago when my father showed me the game. At first it was quite boring but hten the more I played and the more skills i unlocked, the better the game experience.

I love this game. I specifically love the flexibility of being able to schoose any two masteries instead of being stuck with pre-built masteries. If you like this, check out Grim Dawn as several who worked on TQIT are making that one too.

This game is a must have for RPGers everywhere. This is hands down the best balanced, and most enguaging gameplay i have played since the old Dungeon siege(1 not 2 or 3, and god not space siege). This has an in depth and well tuned skill tree and heavy handed class system that bring a refreshing new feel to rpgs and is easily worth $20. And of course, why not get an extra copy or two to send to some friends, it's always better with friends!

Immortal Throne is a good sequel to this great title. Adding a campaign with good length (10 hours average) and plot, while preserving the interesting aspects of the gameplay. It's an old but perfectly playable game, although with some technical problems like crashes and drop performance in some scenarios. There was also a problem with the multiplayer, I started it in coop but had to finish alone. If you played and enjoyed the base game, most likely will enjoy this expansion.

Titan Quest: Immortal Throne is the same as Titan Quest only it adds a 4th act after you beat act 3. It's a really fun game. You can import your character from the original Titan Quest and play as him/her. For my review I'm going to review both games since they're essentially the same, the Immortal Throne just being longer. Titan Quest is a lot like Diablo, pointing and clicking from a birds eye view of the world. You can click on enemies to attack them and use your skills. There are several skill trees to choose from, the first being unlocked at level 2 and the final and second being unlocked at character level 8. Skill trees include Earth, Storm, Nature, Defense, Warrior, Hunter, Rogue, Spirit, and Dream. Earth skills allow you to use the powers of fire; storm skills allow you to cast powerful stunning magic and freezing abilities; Nature skills allow you to summon pets and heal up; Defense skills are self explanatory, they buffer your character and allies; Warrior skills make you a physicial tank, wiping out hordes of enemies with dual wielding skills; Hunter skills allow you to easily trap enemies and deal great amounts of piercing damage to regular enemies and especially beasts and beastmen; The rogue uses hit and run assassination skills; Spirit allows you to command a powerful lich and deal damage to ghosts and cast auras; and dream allows you to manipulate reality. Act 1 of the game takes place in Greece, act 2 in Egypt, act 3 in the Orient, and act 4 in Hades. The game gets progressively harder and no grinding should be necessary as you level up as you progress through the game like any other rpg. There are tons of sidequests to complete that will give you rare and useful items, experience, and gold. The item menu is also a lot like Diablo's, with individual squares for the smallest of items and larger items taking up multiple squares. You can create a portal at anytime in the game that will take you to another player's portal or a waypoint, located throughtout the game in every major town and in some main areas. There are caves and dungeons scattered throughout the game that yield treasure minibosses. Level 30 is sufficient enough to take out the final boss of act 3, and then you can start playing act 4 which is exclusive to the Immortal Throne. Overall this is a very fun game with lots and lots of cool classic rpg elements. It is point and click though, which can get a bit tiresome. It's all real time and there are no turns. I recommend this game if you like all kinds of rpgs and/or you played Diablo and liked it.

This game is highly understated. It easily compares to Torchlight and Diablo. The graphics are a little dated; however, the gameplay is just as good. Great for my mage obsession. Love how you can use wands to save on mana at the beginning. Archery is fun too. Lots of replayability to try different talent trees.

It is a classical Hack 'n slash game, set in ancient Hellas aka. Greece.
The class system is a bit different compared to, say Diablo. You don't choose a class but rather you choose up to 2 specializations and combine skills from these in any way you like.
The game can seem a bit boring in the beginning but as you progress in the story that problem goes away.

This is not a masterpiece of a game but to me it was money well spent!

The expansion to the excellent ARPG, this is almost a necessity. Not because the core game is bad, but because of all the content it adds. Along with another Act, it adds several new Masteries, allowing for even more classes and playstyles. Pick it up with Gold Edition.
