Besides some minor fixes and adjustments this patch is all about items. Builds on the first game. Some nice class development and ability to take a lot of different skills. A solid action RPG. A bit dated, but has aged fairly well.

This game was my first game that I owned on my own PC and I had hours of fun with this game even without DLC + I never really completed Immortal Throne, because when I was younger I never really knew that Immortal Throne is, so now that I bought it will be my first time completing whole game + DLC + I downloaded this one mod that makes it even harder and challenging and adds lot of new things! I really recommend this

I'm not sure if I really like this game or not. It has its flaws but also positive things in it. I personally really like the theme of this game, all the mythology and the scenery. Especially if you know a bit about it. The base game is already a very large game and this expands it even more, which might feel ridiculous at times.
This largeness is both a pro and a con. I usually find games are too short, but Titan Quest (or the package with this expansion) will be worth the money on that aspect. It can feel tedious (especially in the beginning) to level up. And if you want to make sure you've seen everything on the map this will take a long time as well. I've only played this while friends were also playing so we could chat about it and that makes all the waiting and walking less tedious. However, I haven't finished the game and I also don't think I would play it all over again. When I played it, multiplayer was officially no longer supported (servers down), so you need to find alternative servers/ways.
I think you can really see that this is an old game. I usually like to be the mage, but I didn't like being ranged in this game because of the aiming and the lagging. Grim Dawn is now finished and that feels like the successor of Titan Quest. It's nice to see how they've improved from Titan Quest to Grim Dawn and nice to feel familiar with the game and its mechanics.
So if you really like the theme, I would recommend Titan Quest to you. If you don't really care about that, I would recommend Grim Dawn instead. Because there everything is smoother and no aiming/lagging issues for me anymore. I think this game is just a bit too old now to really enjoy it, because you keep being annoyed about certain things.

I always liked Titan Quest more than Diablo. Played a lot outside Steam years ago. The way you can create you own class its just too good. And all the hack and slash its there, with that ancient setting so well implemented.

This is a great alteranative to the Diablo series if that is what you are looking for.

So like many people I've been playing this game since forever. And it has been one of my favorite arpg's of all time.

unique features:
- set in classical Greek, Egyptian and Chinese mythology
- Lots of classes; 9 main classes characters will be a mix between 2 of them
- full length campaign
- no class specific gear, gear requirements based on strength/dex/int score
- 3 difficulty levels

There are cons as well: the game is pretty easy to break. Especially after multiple playthroughs with the gear you'll find on the way, theorycrafting can easily get out of hand. Also, the amount of enemies is a bit low when compared to newer games in the genre. Almost all possible irritating aspects have been modded out if you're inclined to fix it.

I'm writing my review now that I've learned that Nordic Games has bought the publishing rights and have started to redevelop the game for modern audiences and steam. They're really doing an amazing job:
- fixing multiplayer server support
- lots of engine improvements
- voice chat
- complete rebalance; skills/enemies/maps/etc.
- new and revamped gear
- steam workshop support
- bugfixes

I've played it throughout the Nordic beta and they really are doing their best to give this classic title the respect it deserves. Even addressing lots of issues the game had when first finished, and at the same time they seem to respect the modders and community that kept the game running over all these years.

If you like diablo-clones, pick this one up and give it a try. I've bought it at a ridiculous price so there's really no excuse IMO.

Simply the most diverse experience amongst the ARPGs with decent storytelling from the Ancient Era.

I really adore this game, cannot compare with Grim Dawn as the two game are much different in atmosphere, both has similar gameplay features though. You cannot imagine how happy I am, now as the game receives patches once in a month. I really hope further improvements will release in the future, because TQ deserves more attention.

The best hack & slash RPG I've played in years! Fun, innovative, and memorable. I put hundreds of hours into Titan Quest even before it was available on Steam and I still find myself revisiting this game and enjoying it just as much each time I play it!

Titan Quest is one of the best old school ARPGs out there. Immortal Throne is the improved version of the game and adds Act 4. The graphics age well. The music is phenomenal. The combat is fun. You can build your character in a variety of ways using a combination of 2 skill trees. The game uses a mix of mythology from different cultures (Egypt, Greece, and Asia) which makes it interesting.
There are a few issues with the game. The frame rate drops whenever I use the teleporter. There is a massive frame drop in one of the levels during Act 4. However, there is an unofficial fan patch (patch 1.17a) that can fix most of these issues.

A solid Action RPG. Overall I would give it a 7/10. Certainly worth playing through. The game does not reinvent the wheel by any means, but it does do some things well and in an interesting way. It has some very good highlights but also suffers from some outdated mechanics and engine as well.

The character creation and advancement is one of my favorite in Action RPGs, and my favorite part of this game. As you level you get skill point as with any game of this type, but instead of picking a class from the beginning of the game you get to choose while you play, although this is not completely free-form. There are 9 classes you can choose from and when you pick a certain class it locks you into that class and you spend skill points in its abilities. After a few more levels however, you can pick a second class to start putting skill points into as well. This makes for some very interesting combinations of skills and so far I haven't seen any that are bad together. All classes and skills seem pretty balanced and this makes for some fun playing around with different skill combinations.

Replayability is good but not quite as good as you might hope, however, as the maps and game story itself are very linear and are not different through each playthough. There is also a pretty limited amount of monster types overall and they can get a little repetitive after a bit of time. There is enough veriety to keep the game moving along but it would certainly be nice to see a bit more veriety in them.

Visuals for the game a pretty decent, and are on par with what one would expect for a game that is a few years old. The scenery is nice to look at and there are some parts that are very well done, ever to the point that I wanted to stop for a bit and just look at it. Unfortunately, the beginning of the game is a bit bland and slow which can put off a new player but once through the first few sections things pick up pace.

Most all other mechanics are in line with games of the genre and there really isn't too much to say about them other then they are solid and nothing about them really stands out one way or the other, good or bad.

Lastly, one thing to note. Is the game is a bit slower paced than most other Action RPGs, favoring tactics and strategy more then speed and flashiness. And depending on the player this can be a really bad thing or a nice change of pace. For me it is a nice change from some other ARPGs and makes the game a little more casual. Good for when you don't necisarrily want to be super focused or twitchy during playing.

Such an amazing game!!!! I remember playing the original Diablo on Playstation 1 and have been a fan of the series ever since, although D3 has lost abit of that dark charm of the first 2... that being said, the ABSOLUTE TREASURE TROVE that is Greek mythology in Titan Quest(and the Immortal Throne expansion) just sends everything that is awesome about Diablo and shoots it over the moon like one of Artemis, Goddess of the Hunt's, arrows! The voice acting is excellent, the music is appropriately atmospheric, the creatures are varied and the gameplay is easy to pick up & seems balanced. The graphics hold up well & it doesn't take a monster machine to run - I am using a run-of-the-mill Intel-based Acer all-in-one desktop. Melee-based characters have abit of an easier start, but magic-weilders quickly catch up. It's also nice to be able to use armor while being a caster, unlike some other more strict RPG-type games. There is honestly NOTHING I dislike about Titan Quest. Why had I not heard of this game when it was first released?! I could have been playing this years ago... 100% thumbs up recommended must-buy game!
