This game is 9 years old and is still updated to this day: they recently included the Steam Workshop to add mods. How incredible is that? The game in itself is a must-have if you like this genre, I absolutely love it.

More of the same as original game. Just typical expansion pack bringing a new enviroment, continuing the story and sending you more monster to hack and slash. Not bad.

I played ALOT of Diablo II via Battle.net, Tunngle and Hamachi over 2500 hours of Diablo II "Online" in more then 10 years (made some good friends worldwide, hi guys o/), i may know everything there is to know about every class, i was SO over it and Titan Quest came as a perfect substitute, i've much more hours than my Steam account says btw, i had another non-steam PC version.

TQ/TQ:IT is the best Diablolike game out there, BY FAR, it even has more spooky/scary/dark touch than Diablo III (biggest con on Diablo III, the fear of playing Diablo is almost gone, pure Hack/Slash ARPG with Diablo storyline), it amazes me the time TQ was being release, there were zero hopes about this game, a Diablo copy coming out with a dev company never heard before, "GARBAGE" they said, well...

Pros:

- Graphics aged amazingly well
- Class/Spell system is even better than Diablo, it takes forever to master every class (i played it alot and i didn't even play with all combinations possible, check it out all combinations here: http://titanquest.wikia.com/wiki/Character_Classes )
- Great soundtrack
- Long gameplay, hundreds of hours probably.
- Great multiplayer, similar to Diablo II, playing with friends is epic, awesome PvP aswell.
- The game comes with an editor that lets you create your own maps and quests (hello game devs wannabes)
- Huge open world with outstanding greek/egyptian/mesopotamian/chinese atmosphere mixed up with its mythology, pretty rare in a RPG game.
- One of the best artifacts systems (socketable kind of itens that you put in your gear to enchance it, got it guys?), similar to the class system, there's a world of combinations possible between artifacts, this led to optimal builds for PvP/PvE or focused in some class build synergies.

Cons:

- After you've beaten the game it becomes too grindful, repetitive and boring if you don't trace a main goal. (Diablo 1-on-1, haha)
- TQ:IT came with an unbalanced class mastery called Dream, and any class combination towards Dream are extremely overpowered. (after you go Dream you never go back, every single combination without it feels pathetic, but there are mods that partially corrects those problem, all unofficial)
- Farming itens can be annoying since you can drop level 5 "rare" gear in a level 20+ area. (you see the rarity, happiness explodes, and than you see the item is so underlevel its useless no matter how rare it is, unhappiness implodes)
- Storyline is mediocre.
- No character customization at all.

With all this i would certainly recommend this game, its at least a 8/10 for sure, and every time a sale comes up, you can buy the Gold Edition almost for free.

This is probably one of the best games i've ever played, the mechanics are solid and nothing in it feels tacked on or fundamentally pointless. My only niggle is the difficulty goes straight up by 90 degrees between the second last zone and the last. Really threw me when i tried it. If you want a good time with a slightly older game then this is your best bet.

Pros:

+Great ARPG gameplay
+40+ hours of gameplay
+45 different class builds
+Online multiplayer / co-op
+Up to date including official fan patch
+Currently being worked on with more fixes inbound
+An incredible amount of loot
+Gear sets
+Voice Acting for all quests
+Adds an additional ACT (4 in total with Immortal Throne)
+Adds an additional Mastery (9 in total with Immortal Throne)

Cons:

-Still has balance issues, but playable
-Windows 10 users may have difficulty accessing the game (not all users affected)
-Using official patch may break mods

This review covers v1.20 beta official patch.

Titan Quest is another isometric top down ARPG and it's a damn good one at that. Immmortal Throne is the expansion to Titan Quest and adds graphical updates, another equipable gear slot, more quests and another ACT making it 4 ACTs in total.

If you like games like Diablo, Torchlight and Grim Dawn this is a must play through. There are 3 different difficulties to this game. Normal, Epic and Legendary. You start out in Normal and once you beat ACT IV's final boss you can unlock Epic and so forth. This game can be difficult on normal especially if you haven't planned ahead with a build in mind. The 1st two ACTs are fairly easy, but once you reach ACT III the difficulty does start to ramp up and you may need to respec.

The following site allows you to configure a build:

http://www.titancalc.com/

You can respec once you reach certain major cities in the game. Once you've activated the portals to towns you can go back at any time. Respeccing your class costs gold and you can respec your skills you've chosen, but you can not respec the mastery.

Mastery's are the specific class you want to be. IE: mage or tank class. Skills are IE: a heal or dual wielding swords.

You can enchant your gear in the game too by finding parts of relics and charms while out in the wild killing monsters. Collect enough and you can make a complete piece and then enchant your gear. You can farm areas in the game and you can farm bosses too.

You don't need to install the fan patch any longer due to its current developers updating the game, but by doing so may break older MODs. Most, if not all, of the fan patch has been implemented and fixes most known issues. Online multiplayer works as well, but you will need to register with your email in order to play it. Hopefully this will be patched out on launch of the official re-release so we can just use Steam instead.

Nordic games have bought out the rights to this game and have been updating it and have been doing a fantastic job. Hopefully they will continue to do so to make this game more compatible with current PC's so more people can enjoy it. Great game and extremely worth your while!!! 10/10

Note: Titan Quest has been abandoned and as such you SHOULD play Immortal Throne instead!

great game hassle to get working
when you do its great
but eventually its hassle again for one reason or another
then you have to find a solution (might be the same mabe different)
good luck if you buy it
better not to or you'll waste hours on forms and search sites looking for solutions (not just steam!)
its unlikely that this will be fixed the people who brought this game to steam are only do in this for money
otherwise they would have put a more noticable effort into installation flaws
my advise to you give up on this game
they will not fix this because THEY DO NOT CARE
sorry another great game completly ruined by the owners of the copywrite
nothing you can do to change their minds but not to buy from them (your wallets are all they care about)

another ARPG like diablo
though this made long long ago, but the graphics can still be considered good even now.
and though the gameplay much like diablo, this one is not cheap clone like many others.
titan quest immortal throne distinct itself with new mechanics where u can pick 2 classes to choose that this broadens the variety of choices that can be made.
u can be a mage warrior, mage summoner, melee summoner, and many others.

well, to sum it up, this game is a must if u like diablo style gameplay.
and dont forget to purchase the immortal throne, not just titan quest because this by far make titan quest more perfect.

Great old school RPG game with fascinating theme and location (ancient Greek, Egypt, China, Roman, etc.)!

The graphics is also good even until now. Enemy is not too challenging but who cares as long as the thirst to hunt new gears burn inside you.

If you are in love with Diablo, Torchlight, don't miss this game!

Get this game. Now. Especially if you're a fan of Diablo 2, Torchlight I and II, Path of Exile, etc. This is a wonderful action RPG with a mythological setting, amazing loot, and a unique dual-class system that can lead to TONS of character builds. The only thing some players might take issue with is the lack of randomly generated maps, but it really doesn't affect gameplay poorly. Drops and classes are all well-balanced and the game looks BEAUTIFUL. It also plays well on older/lower end setups; I'm playing right now on a laptop with integrated Intel HD 3000 gfx and it still looks incredible. Best of all, it's still being supported.

Check this post to join in the public beta by Nordic games for a revamped multiplayer (no more Tunngle or Himachi!) Or just look at this picture for instructions: http://ds.nordicgames.at/SteamBetaBranchGuide.jpg

Seriously, get this game now. it's totally worth it, even at full price. 10/10

If you are fascinated with ancient mythology and don't find the typical 'hack and slash' gameplay dull, buy it and enjoy. Don't miss Immortal Throne.

The Gods Love This Game!!

Ok this game is so good ! I had this game retail boxed ,truth i didnt even play it much {FPS Junky back in the day} lol So Steam :P forward a few years and i got Titan Quest in a Humble Bundle and a friend gifted me Immortal Throne . So it sat installed for a good bit and the other day i looked and saw that it was a beta patch active today in 2016 and the game came out in 2007!! So i was like let me load this baby up and get the update and go play and man ohooo man im having a blast !

You can see my play time so far and im only just started Act 2 lol Ive been takeing my time and killing anything that moves {more exp} and doing every side quest i come along.I would dare to even say even though this game came out in 2007, i think its better then Diablo 3 and its Xpac. I think if you are fan of Hack N Slash games you will love this game if you havent played it , and if you have fire it up again and blow the dust off this jem of a game!!

Just wanted to say big props too Nordic Games for patching the game even after all this time !They are even talking of maybe adding more too it and content maybe !! AMAZEBALLS !! So if you love ARPGs and Hack n Slash games give this a hack n slash to the buy cart !!

I played this game in High school and have come back to play it recently. This game is simple but at the same time very rewarding. The plot is extremely linear, but it is also super replayable. Especially if you want to try out different classes.
There are nine different classes, i prefer the class added in the expansion, "Dream" but all of the classes are fun and lead you to play differant ways. I am not saying that any class makes you play a certian way, but you can tailor your class to you style of play.
I have played many a character but there are many different builds that i still need to try out.

After the new update getting repaired the multiplayer and render other aspects of the game, I have to say that after a long time, this game has returned to my arsenal. Would you like to know Greece? Or cross the Nile River, or go through the wall of China?. If it is what you want, find out, you will have many hours for a cheap price! Also with the expansion you can travel through the underworld of Hades.
