Great Game actually I personally don't really like the point and click like feel but asides that this is a pretty awesome game. THis game is like the original 1980s Clash of The Titans, meets Total War: Rome Gold Edition meets any hack and slash but with huge variety in styles of gameplay the RPG elements are countless and the game overall is very unique feel for me at least. It's not strategic like Total War but when you start the game the intro scene is amongst the most badass intros I have seen and got me hyped up until I saw it had a lame RTS feel to it except no RTS elements at all. Other than that problem the game is great, endlesss hours of fun, the DLC/Expansions are worth getting as well and great MP based kind of game. Visuals: 7/10, Story: 7.5/10, Gameplay Mechanics: 4/10, Replay value: 10/10 and just a overall different experience but fun at the same time.

One of the original '3D' roguelikes.
Still mostly holds up.

Graphics are still reasonable, although a some HD textures would be lovely as everything is extrememly grainy if you play on high resolutions.

True to the code of the Roguelike, the aim of the game is a point and click to attack, and collect loot/Repeat. If you dont like that kind of thing, you'll hate this game.

Controls are good, and monsters are always interesting, and dont always react the way you'd expect.
Also the design of the Greek myths and legends is inventive and fun.

7/10

TQ is a Diablo clone influenced by Greek mythology. The stat and skill balancing is a bit of, which makes it quite easy, while spending charakter building points without a pre-assembled plan, to completely "destroy" your character. As usual the co-op mode is the most fun, but the game gets repetitive and thus boring pretty fast.

Skip this game: internet servers don't exist anymore and playing LAN over VPN is buggy / doesn't work.

Ever liked Diablo or Torchlight? Like feeling like a god with epic loot and some pretty awesome dungeon crawling scene? An interesting and indulging world of mythology turning postal on the Greek people? Well, if you like the sound of that, just you wait 'till you try out this gem! I never expected to have so much fun playing this game.
To give a simple snapshot, I started out as an axe wielding basic warrior. Then I turned into a golem summoning, fireball throwing, archer that cannot be stopped! It is an absolute blast to play this game with some awesome bosses and critters to smash to smitherines! Warning, the Cyclops DOES indeed stomp you into a fine jelly-like substance. Plus, there is a whole expansion known as "Immortal Throne" which adds a whole new dungeon crawling experience in Hades and adds some new skill trees. I wouldn't want to spoil what I felt playing this game for the first time so here I suggest either trying a demo or just buying it (seriously, awesome game).

One of the few dungeon crawlers I play over and over again with different friends. Game is a great time sink with a few friends and it never really gets old. It's a definite must have if you want to play a game with friends.

Okay, it's Diablo with historical Earth mythological pantheon factions (Greek gods, Egyptian gods, etc.) and setting. It's okay, but it kind of just makes you want to play Diablo. A firm but honest 3/5 rating recommendation.

A top down RPG that isn't unlike Diablo 1 or 2. The campaign is very lengthy, and users can install or create custom levels as well. Online co op is present too, and it worked very well in my experience. There is also a wide variety of classes, which allows you to pick two, and combine them into one class (such as the Necromancer and the Healer create the Soothsayer).

Not very pricey at all, especially on sale, and the story is very long. Definitely a good purchase for avid RPG players looking for something to do.

Pretty great Diablo clone with a well-realized mythological theme. I did not realize the expansion revamps the entire game until half-way through, so be sure to play that version from the beginning rather than this one. It's a much improved experience.

I played this game back when it came out, I was a lot younger, and had a lot of trouble with it, as my computer didnt run it well, but I genuinely enjoyed it, so I bought it when I saw it was on sale and I had a better computer.
It's a long game with lots of replay value. It's a lot like Diablo, but still great.
The multiplayer works, and if youre having trouble with a part in the game you can get someone to help. Theres NG+ versions.
Only problem is if you get the DLC it doesn't attach to the game, so if you buy the DLC , start the game on the DLC.
I give it a 7/10.

For the right price it's probably worth a shot, but it's ultimately a mediocre Diablo 2 clone. The worst part: no random maps! That really saps the replayability. The skill tree is pretty clever, though, with tons of flexibility and lots of things to try. It's just a shame that you'd have to try it all out on the same map over and over.

I haven't been able to complete this game or touch its expansion due to time constraints, but every time I get on this game I lose entire nights to it.

I'm a big fan of Hack and Slashes, ever since I first touched my friend's copy of Gauntlet on the Gamecube. My few hours I got to spend with my college buds on Diablo II were some of the best that semester. Magicka remains on my top 10 of games this last decade.

I am also a REALLY big fan of Mythology...not kidding, when I found out that most schools didn't teach it I was heartbroken and felt sad for them, because I was lucky enough to get that amazing taste of Mythology due to my schooling. The "Big Three," Greeks Egyptians and Vikings, were really good favorites of mine, but in today's world I particularly love Egyptian Mythology (in no small part due to living there) so when I found out that this game didn't JUST have accurate Greek mythical creatures to fight, I was stoked. Definitely going to finish this.

Out of the box, here are the pros and cons!

-Pros

+Historical and Mythological Accuracy; harpies are bad guys, satyrs hate your guts, the undead are clad in bronze armor, and the like
+Diverse locals; Greece, Crete, Egypt, most of the Mediterranean is covered in this game, and more!
+HARDCORE boss fights; if you aren't prepared and have looked up some of the details on these bosses beforehand, you will get your butt kicked a lot...and in a good way, forcing you to change your tactics you like to use for other critters
+Loot; this is probably the best loot I've seen in any game, though I'm sure this is a normal thing for Hack and Slashes. It's nice knowing that I have a ready supply of gold I can farm and go back to by getting weapons I don't need for my class and selling them at a merchant
+Class Customization; The fact that they managed to implement traditional class systems in a way that makes sense to the lore by means of class customization is the best aspect of this game. I'm currently playing a hunter with defense and never before have I appreciated the use of a bow more in a game where my primary purpose is to be a tanky melee fighter.

Cons
-It's a bit dated...not so much to prevent fun replayability, but just enough to catch your attention. An HD glossover of this game would be an amazing addition
-Lacking in character customization; Changing your shirt color and skin/hair color, pretty much it...kind of sad, especially since I wanted to look like either a Spartan or a Thracian in appearance.
- Class system kind of wonks out in historical accuracy; I chose hunter and defense so I could be a hoplite, my favorite historical troop choice in any Greek-themed game, and I hold my spear overhead as if I'm going to throw it...kind of a turnoff

All in all, I give this game an 8.5/10, and I will DEFINITELY update this review when I finally finish it.
