Really wanted to play this game but it will not work on my pc. I have an alienware super gaming pc that will run just about any game on highest graphics setting and this game will not run on it for some reason. Keeps giving me " could not initialize game engine ". I have searched all over the web for a fix but nothing helpful so far. seems this error is very common and you'd think they'd mention it before you buy it. Don't waste your time and money because more than likely it will not be compatible with any rig higher than windows xp. So if your running windows 7, 8 or 10 you will be SooL.

A traditional old hack and slash RPG. Really enjoyable if you're feeling nostalgic, but there are probably better alternatives now like Diablo 3 & Torchlight 2. Great if you like Roman mythology though!

don't recommend. Stupidly small backpack. I know it is seems like an arbitrary and single issue to base a game review on. But this seemingly petty greivence is a big deal if you think about it. How can you immerse yourself in a story; enjoy the challenge of a mission; get to your target; and so on so forth if after ever 5-6 minutes your rushing back to a merchant to sell items or on the other hand drop them? Items from merchants are quite expensive aswell which makes dropping your obselete items frustrating but so does repeating the journey back and forth to the nearest merchant. Either way time is regularly consumed in making decisions about your gear. And forget any notion of carrying sidegrades for different enemies.

don't get me wrong though I don't believe we should have infinite backpack space. Deciding what to carry, what to sell and what to wear and what to drop is part of the challange. And a challange I expect to be there but not one I have to face every 5 bloody minutes. Games need to be reasonable in how much they let us carry and titan quest just decides to be stupid.

Other aspects of the game I didn't like was the cliche and lacklustre intro movie, not the one used for the trailer but the one after it. It goes on about "the weak shall have power over the strong, poets will pick up a sword" and I'm thinking to myself stfu, lol.
The other final thing I didn't like was this game being misold as a hack and slash. Its not, hack and slash to me, are games like: devil may cry, onimishu, darkriders, x-blades and so on. this game is not based on hand-eye co-ordination. Its based on character build fullstop. left-click atacks and moves around; hotkeys are used to execute different skills; right click is also used to execute a skill of your choosing. If titan quest is a hack and slash then so is league of legends. That doesn't make it bad i like these kinds of games aswell, but at the time of buying I was looking forward to a hack and slash.

the game has some good things sure, its ONLY decent if you get over the backpack thing. But I'm a busy person with lots of things to do, I wanna play video games to relax not add to my list of my chores and pressures. Having to reasses my inventory every 5 minutes DEFINITELY TURNS THIS GAME IN TO A MONOTONOUS CHORE. Don't buy it i reckon most people who reviewd this positively had an inordinate amount of time to waste in the first place.

Yeah it's like all the other older RPG games. If you like a tube map and no open world and doing everytime the same, it's a game for you.

Albeit the game is great, it has many issues with the Windows 10. Just to list some of them :
- Screen Issues;
- Mouse Cursor Issues;
- Sound Issues.

It`s a shame that such great game is almost impossible to play nowadays. Instead of buying it look for Tochlight 2.

This game mixes great fun with that anticapation of getting that amazing legendary item. Just the joy that you have slicing and slashing through hordes of mythological creatures, including Satyrs, Harpies, Cyclops, Typhon, the most powerful titan, and even the king of the underworld himself; Hades. You will not only enjoy fighting your most darkest adversaries, but also finding the most epic of loot. This game features thousands of different items you can find across the land. Speaking of land, this game takes place over Ancient Greece, Egypt, and Asia. At each stop, different opponents will greet you (by that I mean try and rip you to shreds). Not only is this game fun, but it is also a type of learning game. Like me, I found out about a lot of Ancient Greek mythology by playing this game. Most areas in this game are real places in this geographical area of the world. For example, in the first act (Greece) some of the towns include Delphi, Athens, Sparta, etc. The boss fights are also exhilarating. After almost every main boss there is a chest (or in some cases an orb) which can be opened, and in them are magical items that when dropping are completely randomized. Because of this randomization, every time you play, you should expect a new experience to emerge. Each time you play, you find new items, become a new hero, and save the world. The multiplayer works out fine, but when playing with friends, I recommend sharing your classes so that you can come up with the best class setup between you. What are the classes you ask? The classes include Storm, Earth, Warfare, Spirit, Defense, Hunting, Nature, and Rogue. Once you reach level two, you can pick your first class. Then, at level eight, you can pick your second class. After that, you will no longer be able to choose a different class on the same character. It's a fun game and truly does bring out the adventerous side of you. Mortals, save all of humanity in... Titan Quest!

EDIT: Multiplayer is no longer a key feature of the game. It will be required of you to install outside programs to play with your friends. Sorry if this may've been an inconveniance for you.

An oldie but goodie. Trust me, if you are an RPG fan, get this game. The graphics still hold up to this day and RPG elements are amazing and addicting.

Classic RPG in my opinion

Very fun game. I'm very impressed that every monster in the game actually DROPS WHAT IT'S HOLDING! PLus it's nice to fight things other than the demons of hell. I just wish I played this game back in its prime!

This is still, too date, the best action/RPG I've played, followed closely by Torchlight 2. TQ took the concept of Diablo 2 and expanded on it, succeeding far better than Diablo 3 did. The graphics were great, enemies difficult yet not impossible to defeat, classes were highly customizable and fun, tons of gear and items, and mods just added to the game. An inventory mod allowed you to duplicate items and gather a large collection of sets.

The only complaint I have about this game is the lack of level randomization. However, knowing exactly where you are going can be a plus. The expansion was a fantastic add-on and a must have for this game. If you like action/RPGs, this is a game you must play.

This is a game that definitely needed a sequel but likely will never receive one.

This is one of my favorite games of all time. I remember being six years old watching my dad play the game and being full of fascination and wonder. i then proceed to replay it again at 8 years old only to get stuck on act 1. next up is 11 years old where i make it to act 3 and get stuck again. now im 15 and have finally completed the game and am currently playing it again. the amount of adventure and awe i have endured over my life with this game is beyond comprehension and it holds a special place in my heart. it may not be the same to new buyers but i HIGHLY recommend this game. 5/5, 10/10, 100%.

A guy walks into a bar and asks for a copy of Diablo 3. When the bartender asks why he wants Diablo 3 he replies by saying that he wants a good Action RPG game with lots of playtime and an online mode so he can have a jolly good time with friends.
The bartender and everyone else in the bar hits him and kicks him out of the bar along with a copy of Titan quest because Diablo 3 sucks
