prog.1 is a very fun little puzzle/platformer. Each level has you collecting objects in the enviroment while the platforms beneath you are being corrupted by your character. The platforming feels good for the most part, but I felt at times the jumping was a little unresponsive or the momentum while jumping was inconsistant. (I was also playing on a keyboard, so your mileage may vary.) Overall though, a fun game that is for sure worth taking a look at.

Prog.1 is a short precision platformer, like Super Meat Boy, who's main idea is keeping you moving by making platforms disappear after you touch them.

It's a neat idea, and well implemented, with good visual cues for things disappearing and reappearing, though the graphics are a bit on the small side, so some people may have a hard time seeing them.

Unfortunately, the controls do feel a bit off. Maybe because there's no momentum, which takes some getting used to, maybe something else. Still, I did mostly get used to it, and it certainly could have been worse.

Frustration-wise, I'd say it was mildly frustrating, so not bad for the type of game.

The story is fairly basic. The few short cutscenes have a nice style, but there's nothing really substantial in the less than 5 minutes given to them. Sadly, no skip button if you want to redo levels later.

The game is short. If Steam's right, it took less than an hour for me to complete all 48 levels. There are some challenge modes, 100 lives/1 life mode and double-jump (easy) mode. I may have beaten 100 lives first time round, but I don't think I'll go back to do it officially.

Overall, despite some issues, if you're keen for more precision platforming, this may very well be worth a look, though I wouldn't spend much.

This review praises the strong visual and thematic design of Vector Arcade's platformer prog.1, but also discusses its relatively low content.

[. . .] Ultimately, I definitely recommend playing prog.1. In fact, as stated at length above, my biggest complaint about it is simply that there is less prog.1 than I would ideally want, since I was enjoying the game so much. prog.1 is enjoyable to play, visually strong, moderately challenging, and quite well-polished.
