Weekly Livestream: Day of Infamy Co-Op!



Join community manager and voice actor director Michael Tsarouhas for our weekly livestream on the official New World Twitch channel. We are releasing a patch today that balances maps, updates visual content, fixes jumping ragdolls, and more.

UI Improvements

Gameplay Improvements
  • Bayonets can now be charged during sprint by holding the attack button.
  • Bipods will now auto deploy when going prone. If moving while prone, the bipod will auto redeploy when you stop.
Bug Fixes
  • Player and bot ragdolls will no longer jump up when killed.
  • Fix to prevent players being timed out by BattlEye while downloading custom content.
  • Class loadout preset saving will now properly save the secondary explosive slot.
  • Joining a team now properly selects the default unit to avoid selecting an invalid unit which led to missing helmets and hands.
  • Fixed collision mesh on Flak-88 base.
  • Renamed Commonwealth No 76 impact WP grenade to No 77.
  • Renamed Commonwealth No 77 impact smoke to No 79.
  • Fixed incorrect rank patches for Commonwealth units.
Coop Improvements
  • Tweaked the difficulties of scenarios that were too easy/hard.
  • Bots should no longer use LOS path skipping if the next segment is a doorway.
  • Reduced number of bots carrying rocket launchers in Entrenchment.
  • Added TNT to some enemies in Entrenchment.
  • Add nav avoidance flags to destroyable walls, which is removed once it’s destroyed.
  • Bots will only flee from TNT if it has impacted the world at least once.

WELCOME TO WAR-TORN EUROPE

Day of Infamy takes you to the battleground of Southern and Western Europe during World War II. There are 10 maps, ranging from war-torn cities to farm villages, and fortified beachheads to snow-covered forests. Whether you are fighting for the U.S. Army, Commonwealth Forces or the German Wehrmacht, there is a vast arsenal of over 30 weapons.

FIND YOUR SPECIALTY

Day of Infamy features 9 player classes and 10 objective-based game modes, providing a variety of experiences depending on what you’re looking for. Objectives include capture areas, officers to assassinate, and destructible targets including anti-aircraft batteries and radios. Multiplayer features larger scale battles with many reinforcement waves as well as smaller scale engagements with special reinforcement mechanics. With Cooperative, there are three distinct game modes and multiple enemy difficulties to keep things challenging.

TAKE COMMAND

As an Officer in the game, you are at the top of the chain of command. Pairing with a Radioman on the battlefield will enable you to request supply drops, smoke screens, artillery barrages, as well as aircraft strafing and bombing runs. Additionally, you may command your team to utilize different tactics. Communicating effectively as an Officer will allow you and your brothers-in-arms to turn the tide of battle with a creative battle plan or timely radio transmission.

OUTSMART THE ENEMY

Day of Infamy is a highly strategic experience that rewards intelligent maneuvering and coordination with your team. Pay close attention to your surroundings, as blindly running into an open area is the easiest way to be killed. Lean around corners, lay prone to steady your aim, and walk slowly to conceal your footsteps - these are effective strategies to stay alive. A team that sticks together, advances cautiously, and uses proximity VOIP is more likely to overcome a scattered and disorganized opponent.

ASCEND THROUGH THE RANKS

As you play the game, you will earn your rank. You may customize a personal trading card to visually represent yourself to others. Ranking up does not provide players with any gameplay advantages or incentives, so gameplay balance remains purely skill-based. In the full release, there will be cosmetic items such as historic units and weapon upgrades which you may earn as you rank up.

CUSTOMIZE YOUR EXPERIENCE

The game is built with mod and Workshop support in mind. Over 400 Workshop mods have been created in the game’s early access phase, with over 40 maps, 172 skins, 169 sound mods, and more. With mod support we are anticipating some quality new experiences to be created by our talented community.
