About This Content

Anno 2205: Tundra allows you to discover a long forgotten region…the desolated Vanha Plains.
In this land where nobody set foot for 100 years, you will gather new resources and complete specific quests to further improve your metropolises.

Challenges in the icy wastelands
In this new 82 000 acres territory, you will discover new gameplay tactics as you need to dry the marshes before settling in the area among the muskoxen and the icy environment.

All new production chains
Two new population types are also available, the Tundra Scientists and the Tundra Protectors. Five new production chains and ten new goods will challenge you to use your management skills effectively.

A space-wide module type
A new additional module type can also be unlocked by solving the sector quest and inquiring on the past generations failures. This module improves farms and factories in the Tundra sector, but also in all the others regions of the game.

A fly through the marches
Throughout the story quests and optional side quests you will control a futuristic flying vehicle to hover over the desert landscapes. Also ten new achievements will bring you even more additional challenge!

One of the things that this game did well was the beautiful animated production buildings. There are a few new ones in this DLC but about half are direct recolors from pre-existing buildings. They're not even a re-skin, just a color palette change. The music is the same as arctic sectors. They've been planning this DLC since before launch and it feels like they gave up halfway after mediocre sales and lazily cobbled the rest of everything together.

One of the new features that affects your whole corporate empire is a new module for every facility that doubles your production output (as well as doubling upkeep). These modules are powered by a couple specific resources from tundra production chains. Unless you've compeletely occupied your mountain and coastal slots and don't feel like expanding into other sectors, there's not much point to adding the modules. If you reach that point in the game you'll probably be getting bored of the game anyways.

The new sector is pretty and the sector project feels a bit more unique, but it's largely the same as any other set of missions in this game. Accrue X amount of this resource. Wait X amount of time. Hunt around the map and click on things.

Would not recommend unless bundled in cheaply in a package with the main game.

For the current price this does not contain much gameplay. Not good Ubisoft... NOT good. Stay away. Cut the price in half and it might be worth it.

Really nice DLC, you can tell the dev team poured their imaginative hearts and souls into the design, kudos to them for a great peice of DLC.
Would still love to see some kind of multiplayer - maybe not in the traditional anno multiplayer - just some kind of interaction with other players, and I would take my hat off to them...

For 12 € we get some recycled buildings, some repainted buildings and almost no new buildings. In addition we get a new sector project that only unlocks new building options and a bit of game time of which 95% is spent waiting for the next mission timer to reach zero....
I expected a LOT more from Anno and unfortunately the newest installment of the series can only dissapoint...

Summary: if you can get it on a sale it may be worth it. Otherwise: don't bother.

Where to start.... Anno 2205, the base game, is about as shallow as an above ground swimming pool. This DLC could have sought to change that. It didn't. The Map is beautiful and the sector project is well rounded. However, and it is a BIG however, there are only 5 new/original production buildings. Almost ALL of the of tundra production buildings are carbon copies of ones from other sectors. Sure for 6 buildings, they did change the colour from blue to green and rename them, but this is pathetic.

Example: For the Boreal Tailor(Winter Coats), they reused the Neutronium Lab(Basically Computers). They changed its colour from blue to green but didn't bother to, you know, change the name of the top from "Electronic Facility" to, oh I don't know, Textile Facility!

There are no new production chains for other sectors, only a new module type(+2X Production and -2X Maintenance). This is very disappointing. I have very little to no hope for the next piece of DLC.

"Achievements: Ten new achievements..."
"Icons for owned / available DLCs are now shown in the Main Menu."
"Graphics: Polished.."
Game over..

all they had to do was take ANNO 2075's format and add updated graphics and space, then leave everything else alone......apparently that was too hard.
