About This Game

Magicka is a satirical action-adventure game set in a rich fantasy world based on Norse mythology. The player assumes the role of a wizard from a sacred order tasked with stopping an evil sorcerer who has thrown the world into turmoil, his foul creations besieging the forces of good.
Players will be able to combine the elements to cast spells, wreaking havoc and devastation on the minions of darkness. They will also be able to team up with friends and fight their way through the campaign, or test their skills in the magickal arts through other challenging modes.
In Magicka, up to four players take on a grand adventure to save their world from certain doom using a fully dynamic spell system. The adventure mode takes the players across three different levels, ranging from the lush forests of mountain valleys to the frozen halls of the Mountain King where wits and creative thinking are the keys to victory.
In the unlockable hardcore challenge mode, players fight off waves of enemies to earn their place on local and online leaderboards.

Main Features:

[This is no review just a thought about the game]
This game never gets old, for me at least.
When i first got it i was conflicted on the "everything can hurt your allies or cure the enemies" but eventually that proved to be the most hilarious mechanic i ever experienced in a party of four people.
The story di per se is okayish but it's not the main attraction to this game, the way people speak had me laughing hard several times, "BANANA" threw me down the chair.
The casting mechanic is 10/10 combining elements has never been this fun even when you killed yourself 'cause you were wet and shocked yourself to death in a rush of panic.
Despite all tho it has a few downsides, like the loading screens in multiplayer, the random non appearing book at the start, and the horribly made dlcs.
Still i enjoyed every hour i spent playing, i do recommend this title to everyone that may find it interesting enough, give it a shot lads, you'll have great fun.

A very fun game to play with your friends (and your 'friends'). While the graphics aren't outstanding and the controlls can be a bit counter-intuitive this game compensates with humor ... lots of it.

I enjoyed it. I'm not very fond of this type of gameplay (you move the character with the mouse), but I can see how using WASD for movement would be impractical with all the spells that you have to cast and combine. It also has some pretty funny moments, especially with the way the characters talk.

This little gem throws you into the robes of a wizard and sets you on a noble quest to save the world of Midgård from destruction. As a wizard, you are given power over 8 different elements, from which you may cast a vast array of spells by combining them in different ways. This mechanic is very well thought out, with elemental opposites that may or may not result in death if you're not careful, as well as radically different effects for different combinations providing plenty of depth in your spell casting. There are, however, some spell combinations which are obviously more powerful than others, oftentimes leaving no reason to use the others. Despite this, alternate spells do come in handy every once in a while, so don't be afraid to experiment with them.

In regards to the story I'm not going to say much so that you can experience it all for yourself, but suffice it to say that it's very much an adventure of epic proportions and theres lots of content to enjoy. Every location and every boss feels unique and is fun to battle. While the adventure is generally supposed to be pretty serious, it's delivered in a silly and lighthearted manner, including humorous narration and funny NPC dialogue. Furthermore, the soundtrack fits in at every moment of the game - it's reminiscent of Lord of the Rings and it's certainly no worse for wear because of it. Booming and powerful when an action scene calls for it, quaint and quiet when it's calm, and with several other tracks to fill in moments of the game that don't quite fit into either category.

Finally, there are several modes you can play with your friends and accidentally (read: not really on accident) kill your friends with a spell gone awry or something else. Always great fun to gib your buddies late on a friday night - and yes, if it's not your thing there are settings that change the gore. The game allows you to play the story mode in co-op, and there is also a "versus" mode, but I've yet to try the latter.

In short, a great game to play on your own, fantastic with friends.

Now hurry up and get it! Before they run out of cheese!

Go ahead and buy it with all bundles in sale, with your friends of course!

Then go play co-op and "accidentally" kill them.
Play through for hours, game gets harder.
Then try NOT to accidentally kill them.

12/10 would kill all friends again.

Awesome game, never gets old. It is a little bit buggy and unbalanced but that adds to the fun somtimes. My one problem is that the difficulty is very easy most of the time (especally with op spell combos) and it takes a while to scale the difficulty up.
