FIGHT THE PAST TO SAVE THE FUTURE. STOP THE SINGULARITY.

A decenet shooter with some interesting elements mixed in. The time travel aspect is neat, but its usage in the actual game world can be a little disappointing. I ished they would have expanded on its use in the world around. Perhaps have more visible elements of how your character alters time. Beyond that, using the time mechanic in combat is always a blast and gives a feeling of supremacy over all of your enemies. Usually, I hate the idea of a single man running and gunning through thousands of dudes and dudemonsters, but the ability to manipulate time actual makes it seem justified in this case.

The story itself is pretty neat. What starts off as somewhat confusing unravels itself as you progress. Admittedly, time-travel comes with its fair share of perdictability but Singularity still doesn't fail to engross, at least.

Ultimately, I'd recommend this game. It runs well, as I had experienced nary an issue with crashing or bugs through my entire playthrough. It's good looking with smooth framerates. A game worth any shooter fan's time.

What an underrated gem of a game. How did this not blow up back in 2010?
Game is old from 2010 and it shows. But I did not have any problems with the game, and it ran smooth on my gaming rig.
Story was really good and the concept with aging and restoring objects are really good.
Main story was also interesting and I would definitely like to play a second installment in this series.

If you like story realated games the pick up this little gem and have a good time.

This game is when I write these lines in promotion.
It's a no brainer under those conditions : buy it, have a good time and that's a good deal you will have made this week.

Classic FPS with modern touches. I wish the guns had a bit more bang to their shooting but that is about it for now.

Runs really well on older machines (750M all details @ 1360x768) on high details.
Use a widescreen program for higher FOV and more resolution options (I use 'flawless widescreen').

I´ve beaten the game.
I had some fun with it, but I think it repeated itself everytime I progressed.
If you like fast action and some cool new features as time-traveling and nice artistic work, you would have fun for 5 hours.

I really liked it in the beginning, it showed potential but it just grows repetitive as the game goes on.

Still a good game, tho.

The game is solid, just solid. Everything is above average by which i mean that everything is standard but interesting. Gunplay has variety in different weapons and how you approach enemies. Story is your standard story but has interesting characters. The Island you fight on has been designed well and gives that WWII era feel where you would walk trough destroyed and abandoned cities.

Overall the game keeps you playing but you'll forget about it because it is not capable of giving you the feeling that you experienced something awesome. Don't pay more than a medium size pizza for it.

Oooh, this was fun! May have to adjust the resolution in regedit and the sound ... there is a fix for that too. Works with enb (I used one for Alice Madness Returns with the bloom turned down a bit). Overall, less pain in the butt to set up than any id tech 5 game, looks about as good as bioshock / bioshock 2.

Wolfenstein 2009 (maybe Wolfenstein the New Order took some notes from this?) + Bioshock + Fallout + Metro 2033 / Stalker + Half Life / Half Life 2 + Quake 4 + well, you get it, it is pretty derivitive but excellently done and a lot of fun. Guns rock, levels and enemies are solid. Raven improved on both Quke 4 and Wolfenstein 2009 (which had solid if flawed singleplayer). Very worth it on sale for just the singleplayer!

Solid game with a good level of difficulty. Not the most replayable game ever, but it will keep you entertained.

Highly recommended if you love dystopian communism, shades of beige, gritty monsters, gritty humans, and wishing everyone dead.

Great FPS with good graphics for its time, excellent sound design and ambience, and an entertaining (albeit convoluted) plot. Get it when it goes on sale.

Singularity is something of an underappreciated FPS from a somewhat underappreciated developer. Having already put out classics like Heretic, Hexen and Jedi Knight II, Raven again went on a solo effort with Singularity in 2010 and it was largely deemed 'pretty good' by reviewers. However, I think it's much more than that. Although hamstringed a little by a few modern FPS conventions, Singularity does a great job of feeling like a classic shooter, ending up somewhere awkward between Serious Sam and Call of Duty.

To its merit however, the enemies are smart and strong despite being a little cliché, the weapons all have a lot of punch and character, even if they're a machine gun, shotgun, sniper rifle, etc. and there's many secrets, upgrades and places to explore despite being a mostly linear game. In short, Raven seemed to want to make this game much more than the sum of its parts, and in my eyes, they completely succeeded. The time manipulation mechanic, despite being vital to progress, seems more like icing on the cake than a core game mechanic however, so don't expect anything more spectacular than an amazing FPS with some additional superpowers!

Average Game Length? I took around 8 hours to get through the story on the hardest setting, it could take more or less depending on your skill or desire to be a completionist.

A Bit Like? TimeShift, BioShock

Is It Fun? The TMD provides some serious fun, the story is engaging and the weapons make mincemeat out of your enemies, a big yes.

Worth The Price? £14.99 is pretty much half the price of a retail title, fitting considering you'll be lucky to get a multiplayer game going given the game's age and lack of popularity. For the price, the solo campaign is more than worth it although consider carefully that that's all you'll be getting out of it if you're on the fence.

One of the most over-looked and under-appreciated shooters of all time! Great story, great weapons, great gameplay. A must-play for any FPS fan. Nobody does it like Raven.
