This DLC is worth every penny just for the precursor planets. The precursor worlds are some of the most sought-after, powerful worlds in the galaxy. They often have huge bonuses to production or research, and often add resources (like +10 Durantium). Finding these worlds early in the game can make life a bit easier on your fledgling empire. I love this DLC.

Definitely worth picking up. The worlds are very cool, and finding one or two can really boost your empire. The anomalies are quite powerful and fun to loot, but I feel that their defenders are on the weak side.

This DLC is probably the best addition to the game so far! It gives the galaxy a sense of history and flavor.

Held off the review until this DLC had a full balance patch, which doesn't really change my recommendation it simply means I don't have to come back and edit this to reflect the current state of the DLC.

This DLC is a nice addition to the game. Extra planet types add a bit more flavour, graphically and gameplay-y, to a galaxy that was pretty standard. The Artifacts were spawning far too much, but that's been dealt with and they feel like a little super boost rather than an uppercut to the spine. There are also a few new colonisation events, which adds to the GC3's flavour.

So if you're feeling like the galaxy's a bit too bland grabbing this might just be what you're looking for.

Planets are awesome in Multiplayer but seem to be non-existant in single player. Any help on this?

I have been playing GC-III for some time now, and find it Enjoyable. I recently DL'd the Buy Galactic Civilizations III - Precursor Worlds DLC, and it adds a nice level to the base game. Build a more powerful ship before going after the Precursor Anomalies, Nuf Said. Precursor Worlds are Graet Places to inhabit.

How do you actually play GalCiv 3 with this DLC? My steam account shows the DLC installed but there in no sight of it in a new game? Yes, I do have GalCiv 3 on steam.

Likely the best DLC yet. Offers a pretty massive variety of unique content to find out in the universe. Between a series of planets which each have unique art and colonisation event/effects to very powerful protected artifiacts.. this DLC really just adds more content. Likely this content is only good for people who already know the game, but it is something to buy when you have played a few games and want to add a little more spice.

Edit: Upon playing more I can say that the precursor artifacts certainly need some balancing. Either make them rarer/timed or increase their defenders heavily. Other then that- everything is still great and it is still worth recomending

Great variety of new planets. However, they are too common comparing to ordinary planets. It would be nice if we could tweak their rate of appearance when launching a new game. I definitely recommend you buy this one as it brings new interesting content.

A welcome addition. This one adds a new depth to planetary traits. Used it in multiplayer the other day. Just brilliant!
