S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat takes PC gamers once again into the vicinity of the Chernobyl nuclear reactor that exploded in 1986. This so-called "Zone" is a highly contaminated area cordoned off by the military and now is combed through by the so-called stalkers, modern fortune hunters, in search of unique artifacts. 복돌과 정돌과 합쳐서 4회차째다.

진심으로 꼭 사서 해보길 바란다 사고난뒤 아침부터 플레이하고나면 밤이 되있을정도로 정말 재밌다.


내 선택이 엔딩과 NPC들의 스토리에 지장이 크면서 자유롭게 다닐수있고

모험하면서 사람들을 도와주며 밴디트를 소탕하는맛으로 한다


단점이 있자면 그래픽은 그리 좋은편은 아니고 최적화는 아쉬운편이다

이 게임의 배경은 우크라이나의 체르노빌 지역인데, 이곳에서 여러명의 과학자들의 영혼으로 통합사념체라는 것을 만들어 세계를 이루는 PHASE-3(과학법칙과 자연의 원리를 다루는 부분)를 바꾸려는 실험을 한 것으로 이야기가 시작됩니다.
과학자들은 인간의 본성을 바꾸어 좋은 세상을 만들려고 했지만, 실험은 모종의 이유로 실패해서 에미션이라는 이상 기상폭풍이 일어나 체르노빌 지역이 초토화되어 버립니다.
이후 체르노빌은 우크라이나 당국의 엄격한 관리하에 폐쇄되고 이곳은 ZONE(구역)이라고 불리게 됩니다.

플레이의 무대가 되는 ZONE은 자연 법칙이 파괴되어서 온갖 위험한 돌연변이가 생기고 초자연적인 현상과 위험한 이상현상으로 가득한 지옥입니다. STALKER는 ZONE에 잠입한 다수의 무장민간인 탐험가를 뜻하는 약어입니다.
플레이어를 비롯한 스토커들은 ZONE에서 살아남기 위하여 항상 생존을 유념해두고 폐허가 되버린 체르노빌의 도시와 자연에서 살아남아야 합니다.

이 시리즈는 기본적으로 FPS 형태를 띠지만 값비싼 아티팩트를 얻기 위해 위험지역을 뚫고 가거나 길에서 공격하는 돌연변이나 밴딧이랑 싸우고, 때때로 발생하는 에미션을 피하기 위해 건물로 전력 질주하는 등, 생존모험 게임같다는 인상이 강합니다.
그리고 시리즈의 백미는 오픈월드에서 일어나는 무작위 이벤트들이라고 할수 있습니다. 스토커랑 밴딧이랑 싸우기도 하고(이럴땐 어부지리로 아이템을 루팅하면 됩니다), 돌연변이끼리 싸우고 잡아먹기도 합니다. 갑자기 키메라나 블러드서커, 혹은 좀비떼(무려 총을 쏨)같은 돌연변이가 덮치면 NPC랑 함께 싸워야할 때도 있습니다.

독특한 동유럽풍 분위기나 베어그릴스의 모험같은 걸 좋아하신다면 꼭 해보시길 바랍니다.
다만 자체 엔진의 불안정성으로 희대의 개적화와 칙칙한 그래픽을 자랑합니다.(모드를 깔면 좀 보기좋아지는데, 컴이 안좋으면 가끔 튕깁니다.)

참고로 난이도는 매우 하드하며 제가 사용하는 씨노 모드를 설치하면 난이도가 씹하드가 되서(충격을 받으면 휘청거리는 모션이 생김) 블러드서커 하나 잡을때도 일기토하는 것 마냥 비장해집니다. 염동력쓰는 뚱뗑이 한테는 한방에 죽을수도 있습니다...게다가 피로도가 만땅이 되면 졸려서 계속 시야가 흔들리고 휘청거리기 때문에 침낭을 뒤져서 잠도 자줘야 합니다.

본작 콜 오브 프리피얏은 스토커 시리즈 상 마지막 작품이며 스토리상으로도 가장 마지막 작품입니다.(시간순:클리어 스카이-쉐도우 오브 체르노빌-콜오브 프리피얏)
콜 오브 프리피얏은 구역에서 추락한 우크라이나군 정찰 헬기편대를 조사하기 위해 파견된 데그챠레프라는 정보부 소령이 겪는 이야기입니다.

This game is a good shooter combined with nice RPG in open-world, many quests, dark climate and high difficulty level. What do you need more? Maybe lot of guns with possibility to modify them? That's also included.
This game is different than a STALKER book, but Strugatsky brothers may be proud of that.

VERDICT:
If you're a fan of good, difficult shooters, you have to play it.
If you're a fan of Metro climate games, you have to play it.

I spotted the derelict ship, known by the local STALKER's as Skadovsk, in the distance. A wave of hope passed over me. The Zone was cruel, unforgiving, and merciless. With the sky growing darker every second, the tension and anxiety building up, I made the final sprint to the Skadovsk. It was difficult to see at this point, with only the silhouettes of dead trees and abandoned machinery to guide my way. My flashlight had ran out of battery, along with my PDA. Navigation was close to impossible. I could feel the Zone closing in, with the sounds of the unnatural creatures this unholy place has birthed echoing in the darkness. I may have a weapon - however, it was badly damaged, and my single magazine of ammunition wouldn't do me much good, as my gun was unreliable and often jammed or malfunctioned. No prayer could change the fact that I was a walking meal for these creatures. Creatures, whose shimmering eyes you could see in the distance with no visible body, speeding across your vision. Whatever unnatural cloaking the Zone has given them, they could attack from any direction. I wasn't going to let them get that chance. The Skadvosk was near, now. I'm getting exhausted. I'm hungry. I'm thirsty. I had used my last bandage after getting shot by a bandit, if I wanted to survive, I had to get inside. Just as I approached the gaping hole in the hull of the ship, those piercing yellow eyes appeared in a cluster of dead grass. The eyes that followed me, watching me, waiting for me to slip up before it attacks. It was all I could see, the rest of the world was encompassed in a miserable darkness that could strike fear into a fearless man. Just as I had stepped inside the broken hull, sprinting with my last burst of stamina to the sealed door, ear-piercing shots were heard above me, along with the heart warming Russian insults being directed at the creature that was just hunting me. Stepping in the ship, closing the door behind me, I quickly unloaded my haul to Beard, the bartender and trader. The weight lifted from my shoulders, I purchased some Bread and Vodka with my newly acquired Rubles, and sat around the table, listening to my fellow STALKER's tell the tales of their own Misery.

I love the STALKER games; they have an interesting setting and story, post-apocalyptic feel, interesting open areas to explore, lots of unscripted yet interesting encounters, horror elements, authentic industrial environments, and refreshingly unforgiving FPS gameplay.

Call of Pripyat is definitely the least buggy and most polished of the series. Extremely compelling, fun to explore, and just plain awesome. Also, many of the game's locations are very close to real-life locations in the zone, and they look impressively authentic when you compare photos to screenshots (which I absolutely love).

There are less side quests, but they are individually larger, more interesting, and better thought out than all the mini-side-quests in STALKER: SoC. The interface is also much improved from previous STALKERs, highlighting matching ammo when you mouse over a gun, for example. There aren't as many stashes, but the stashes in CoP can be found without knowing where they are beforehand. Artifact rarity is handled the best in CoP, compared to SoC (too plentiful and easy to get) and Clear Sky (nearly impossible to get). Emissions and equipment upgrades are the best in the series here, as well.

The story of CoP is very loose, to let you do whatever you want in whatever order you want, though it's not nearly as good as the story of the original SoC. The game's ending is similar in style to that of Fallout, where it shows you short clips about people and places in the game, telling you what happens to them afterwards. I felt like it was an epic and satisfying end to the trilogy. Ironically, though, the Pripyat area of the game was the worst in terms of well-thought-out-edness in story, dialogue, and missions/quests. Pripyat is, on the other hand, really awesome because the entire area is closely moddled after the Eastern section of real-life Pripyat, with the only major difference being that a service center building is in the game where a kindergarten building is in real life (that, and all the impassible "video game fences" around the edges of the in-game area).

There is a very active modding community for the game, as well. My favorite mod for Call of Pripyat is 'SGM', which adds a ton of content and improves the graphics.

Awesome game. highly recommended if you like survival FPS games.

The vanilla game is good but for the full experience get the Misery mod through ModDB. You will die, you will limp away from skirmishes and fights with mutants, you will end up consuming Charlie Sheen levels of cocaine just to make it back to camp with a half beating heart to sell your loot for scraps, you will smoke more weed than Willie Nelson just to survive an encounter with poltergeists or controllers, drink more vodka than Courtney Love to cope with radiation, eat raw mutant flesh like Hannibal Lector to subside your overwhelming hunger, you will save every three steps, you will want to punch your monitor, you will probably take your aggression out on your spouse and/or kids but ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥it you enjoy every second while doing it because this is how a game is supposed to feel and how it's to be played. You will most likely release your bowels while venturing tunnels or the zone at night so make sure you get your diapers ready, the ambiance is unbelievable, the mod is very hardware intsenive but if your rig can handle it then its very aesthetically pleasing if you like dead trees, grass and half ♥♥♥♥♥ voice overs. Its also very likely you will develop premature stages of Carpaul Tunnel from looking every direction every .6 seconds to see if something is going to molest your face and dignity.

This game is highly recommended to anyone who is masosadistic enough to venture into the zone and struggle through every aspect of life.

For all of those contemplating on getting the game.... let me break it down for you like this. The game takes place is a radioactive cluster ♥♥♥♥ in russia. For all those expecting to walk out into the wastes and become welcomed by a forest of gumdrops and rivers of chocolate with fuzzy kittens rubbing at your feet, you've never been more wrong. Everything that isn't a landscaping prop will try to ♥♥♥♥in' kill yo ♥♥♥. Packs of wild dogs run around knipping at your ball hair, wild hogs humping the ♥♥♥♥ out of you. In soviet russia, zombies shoot you.... no really the ♥♥♥♥ing zombies shoot at you with ♥♥♥♥ing machine guns. As if this ♥♥♥♥ got even better, you got special creatures that go invisible and only show up when they are 5 ft infront of you and suck the blood out of your noob ♥♥♥. Then jabba the hut and yoda had crazy ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and spawned this little ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ in a cloak who has telekentic powers that shoots boxes at you and I know some of you cowboys and "shotgun billS" will try and run up and deliver a lead salad to its punk ♥♥♥ face, but wait, he'll rip that ♥♥♥♥ from your hands and slap your pee pee so hard you'll somehow ♥♥♥♥ yourself. If you somehow manage to un♥♥♥♥ yourself and not die from the gratuitous amount of ♥♥♥♥ he will throw at you. You'll have to empty five clips into his dwarf ♥♥♥ before he croaks. Aside from everything that sees you as food, there are these emissions that occur. If you're out in the open without cover, you're ♥♥♥♥ed and you basically die unless you have antibiotics... idk how that works.. but emissions are pretty random. Think of them like a thunderstorm and a nuclear bomb had a baby and it occurs on random. I can't count the amount of energy drinks I had to consume pack ratting weapons into a ♥♥♥♥ing hole in the floor just to live from this ♥♥♥♥. Storyline is long and there is a lot of ♥♥♥♥ to do. Main cash flow in the game are artifacts and some high priced weapons you probably wont sell. You have to go searching in the wastes for these ♥♥♥♥ing things only to feel like your being ripped off by the vendors. Some artifacts bring in a nice penny though. Most creatures are tougher than mike tyson on pcp, so don't be stingy with your ammo. MAKE SURE THAT ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥S DEAD IN THE DIRT. Your weps and equipment are going to degrade fast as hell. Do you have man ♥♥♥♥? No problem. Some creatures will knock those ♥♥♥♥ right off your chest... along with a good chunk of your health. Doesn't matter how good your equipment is... if you don't have skill you're going to die... a ♥♥♥♥load of times... learning curve is easy the more creatures and the different kinds you face but it never gets easier. Use enviornment to your advantage. Some areas are darker than ♥♥♥♥, which hides most creatures like the burer who shoots motha ♥♥♥♥ing mind bullets at you. That's pretty much it. So if you like swamp ♥♥♥, eating highly processed sausages and vodka and shooting ♥♥♥♥ and dying and explosions and eating nails for breakfast lunch and dinner.... this game is for you.

BTW. The game does not come with KY jelly. Before you play I advise you to go to your nearest store and buy some.

STALKER is a diamond in the rough... it doesnt have nearly enough attention it should yet it is still a known game.
If you like fallout
if you like survival games
if you like atmospheric, story rich, intense fist person goodness.
GET.
THIS.
GAME.
i will guarantee you will enjoy it.

PROS:
+ Atmospheric and realistic
+ story rich
+ long gameplay, huge map
+ many interesting guns, mutants and characters
+ AI is amazing
+ lots of complete overhaul mods (Misery 2.1)
+ Intense gunplay
+ day-night cycle... night is actually scary
(the list could go on so im stopping it here.. but you get it)

CONS:
- couple years old, looks a tad ugly
- steam doesnt like this game, meaning it bugs out a lot and crashes (get the disc version)
- GSC (company) is dead... however has recently come back from grave, working on new title (new stalker???)
- can get extremely hard
