PLPA is a dynamic platformer with a combo system and special strikes, there is also a bit of rogue-lite genre. The principal aim is to get through all floors of the Dark Tower and outfight the main antagonist a Evil Mage. That’s not easy due to a instant death which is followed by a full castle structure regeneration.

First of all, success in the game depends on player’s skills, not on random. The player learns the game mechanics, operation of certain artifacts, items, skills and also behavior of enemies and bosses. The keynote of this gameplay is for a gamer to learn from mistakes and pump his own skills, but not only the protagonist’s ones.

-The main thing about the game is having fun! No farming and excessive complexity.A gamer will face lots of fun things, unusual situations, easter eggs and references to other games. Self-irony also takes place.
-The total generation of location structure, objects, artifacts, traps, enemies and bosses.
-12 characters, different in performance and equipment.
-Create equipment and pump it with stones, runes and enchantment.
-Hidden features and events.
-All of this and much more are seasoned by hurricane-like action with various strikes, skills and spells!

So i got this game on a whim, because one of the tags is Rouge-Like and the user reviews i read were overall pretty positive and made it sound really good.

+The gameplay is good and it works well with my controller.
+Each character feels somewhat different, although they all play the same hit and run style with most enemies.
+The levels are well designed, most levels have loops, hidden areas are fairly easy to notice. There are some fall into acid/lava levels but its fine because you have double jump.
+Dropped items like bombs, hearts, mana orbs and keys are not thrown at you endlessly, but you can end up with a big disparity of items gained depending on your luck.
+The music is really good.
+The art style works well with the game.

-Characters feel a bit slippery because of high movement speeds that you can get.
-The levels although well designed get stale with nothing really changing, just the overall layout floor to floor.
-Bosses are a joke and a waste of time, the only difficult boss i encountered playing was the 2nd major boss, but once you know its moves it becomes easy like the rest.
-Lack of enemy diversity, there are only a few types of enemies, e.g. Zombie, Bats, Skulls and slugs.
-Some Special items are unclear as to what they do, there is no real way of knowing with them unless you get the requirement for them to work. But there are some pretty good ones, like the spike friend and the item that lets you see in the dark (shows whats behind doors).
-The equipment system is confusing at first. When you find a new item it is hard to tell if it is actually increasing your stats or is just a +1 attack weapon. This should be cleared up by putting its actual attack value with a + or a - depending on what you have equiped. Shields are confusing to get better ones as well, i had one shield that every other shield encountered would appear worse even when it was at 1% durability.

Overall i think its a fun game, but i don't think there is enough to keep me playing it for any period of time. Its a rouge-like/lite in terms of the map and enemies being procedurally generated but it doesn't feel like it changes all that much.

The game is VERY inspired by Binding of Isaac, however it does lack BoI's difficulty, variety, and depth. Once you've played through a few times you've seen nearly everything there is to encounter and will find you runs to be short and relatively easy with all but a couple characters.

That being said, I have a lot of fun playing it. It may be light on content and difficulty, but it's a nice game to relax with.

Very fun game, love the style and semi-originality. *cough*, *cough* binding of... but, overall the game is very nice and has great graphics for being a platformer. Great job on the sound track, ya guys hit the bullseye on that one, makes gameplay much, much more enjoyable. All it needs is some more lengh to the levels/challenges.

I need to be blunt.

We need a better ending, the one we have is not satisfactory.

Gameplay is great, but we need more attack patterns other than "move to the player" and "wander aimlessly".

The game needs to be longer, I finish the game in a matter of a half hour at the most.

We should have a "Difficulty" setting that sets enemy's health and damage higher.

The "Final boss" fight is not good, he just summons other things to fight for him.

And finally character diversity. Its not so great, it either feels underpowering to play as one character or boring to play. We need things to spice up the gameplay.

Desipite this account having low time played, i have another account that i play on.

Early Access Review

Its simply too bare bones at the time of this review. Good concept but there is simply not enough of a game. The items and artifacts are varied but there are only a hand full of enemies that provide little challenge. I hope to see this game a bit more fleshed out.

A great idea, but was sadly rushed out of early access
Princess.Loot.Pixel.Again is an addicting rogue-lite platformer, with randomly generated dungeons. The game has different classes that you can go through the dungeon as, and artifacts that can sharpely change the game fast. I was just reviewing this game when the developer randomly posted an update titled "FULL RELEASE!" This update changed almost nothing, and gives me mixed feelings on the game as it stands. So keeping that in mind, lets go through the gameplay.

Gameplay
You start your dungeon run by selecting one of 7 classes. Each class has a unique playstyle, with certain skills the others lack (speed, strength, crits) are quite balanced, and lead to strong replayability. Any character you choose will start you off with 3 bombs and 3 keys, with bombs you can blow up walls, and with keys you can open any locks on any doors or chests. After you spawn in you'll be running room to room, slaying monsters, blowing up crumbling walls, hoping for green chests, entering shops, picking up items, unlocking doors, solving jump puzzles, defeating bosses, making dark deals, upgrading your weapon and hopefully having lots of fun :)

Pros:
+Unique class system
+Randomly generated levels
+Unique artifacts that alter gameplay
+The game tests your reaction and patience
+Great soundtrack
+Steam cards and achievements

Cons:
-In need of more enemies and artifacts
-Bosses need to be balanced
-Rng plays too heavy of a role in succeeding

Overall...
I highly recommend to any player that enjoys rogue-lite games. The game is all about how you react, you can go hacking n' slashing through rooms, but you could fall in acid, be too timid and you could get hit with a fireball, the result of someones run is a reflection of balancing strategies and having the scale tip in thier favor. The different classes and game changing artifacts strongly give the ability to play the game more and more, and even though the game cut out most of the story elements, and it would be nice to have more enemies, the game accomplishes a fun 10+ hours of mastering each class, and the weakness and strengths to items and powerups in the game. Despite having a number of flaws, I continue to come back to the game and is now one of my favorite games in my library, and I dont say that lightly. The game could have been the platformer successor of Binding of Isacc, it could have been the next new, great, rogue-like game out there, development has ceased, but trust me, NO ONE will be happier than me, if this project is picked back up again.

Recommended 7.5/10

Not really a bad game at all, but there's just not enough content even at this price. My first playthrough took me 45 minutes exploring every single room. Prices for items are steep and resources are scarce if you want to open every crate and door. This would have been fine if the game just had gone on for a bit longer.

All in all there's just not enough effort put into this to release it with a price tag. It's close and everything's functional, but it needs more.

There's no much to say here, the game is a wannabe-clone of Rogue Legacy without any of the things which make Rogue Legacy extraordinary

There's no setup, no charisma at all, you chose your character and BAM! you're in this randomly generated floor and you have to clear a floor after the other. It's an easy platform with nothing new, you could enjoy a run, just out of curiosity, then you could do another one hoping that it will surprise you some way, but it doesn't happen and there's no reason to keep playing.
This has a pure roguelike style, there's no kind of progress, when you die you are done, you unlock nothing, you don't achieve anything, and this totally kills every interests.

I won't say the game is bad, it just has no reason to exist. It's nothing better than a lot of other games of the same genre. There's nothing new, and there's no effort, no character in its concepts.

Conclusions:
If you think you could like this game, just buy Rogue Legacy, it's way better. If you already played Rogue Legacy, then look for something else. There's no much content in the game, and that's ok, considereing the price, but even if this game was free there's no quality, no reason to spend your time here, buy something else, or even if you can't afford something else, I'm sure you'll easily find a better way to spend your time.
