Jewel of the Nile is a DLC for Serious Sam 3, coming out in 2012. It just adds three new single/coop levels, so people who are into survival or versus don't have to worry. But shouldn't miss this one out.

And yea, it adds a 3 level-long campaign that you can access separately. It's actually quite fun. No worries, it's not on the level of Legend of a Beast. It doesn't take long to gain weapons around.

And yep, levels themselves are really good and wide. No drop in quality there, it's all awesome. Even though the first level might feel a dat dragged or lame, having not much ammo for anything aside from shotguns.
Actually, now that I think of it, it didn't employ not a single one of those hitscan-shooting zombie clones. Fancy. And awesomely enough, you get to use jetpack once again, even if it's nerfed and used only in one sections. Still, it was wasted in original.

And yep, they brought back old enemy from Serious Sam HD, the reploids. They actually aren't much different from what they were doing in HD, don't expect any new melee kill. Though the first time they appeared it was quite a difficulty spike due to having ammo only for shotguns. And they added new final boss, who is like mega version of fatso. This one is actually a bit of lame fight.

And yep, more weapons. Sorta. Axe is just jolly reskin of sledgehammer. Thus is rocks and you can hang it over the entrance door. Fine, you can't.
On other hand, while Sniper Rifle and Laser Rifle were in SS3 already, they were secret weapons with rare ammunition. Here they are common weapons and levels make use of it. It has mroe than enough situations where Sniper Rifle is put to use, like lines or harpies over the horizon. And Laser Rifle is put to use by not having minigun around, secret aside. HA!

Well, this is a good DLC, get it along. Unless you aren't Serious about it.

I love BFE, and I mean it. I am a huge fan of Serious Sam series(well, except SS2). This DLC though, is not like other Serious Sam series.

There are more puzzles, less killing, and even less bullets. You are likely to confront bio-mechanoids with a shotgun at the first map in higher difficulties. The puzzles are not so tough once you find the first hint, but the game gives you nothing to find that first hint and makes you run around the whole map, likely several times or more. The boss battle is oddly easy as what you need to do is simply throwing C4s and run away about ten times while the boss flounders with his stupid hammer and kills all his pawns.

This DLC is made for those who wants some more Sams, but it isn't Serious enough.

The main mission is fascinating though.

An excelent add-on to the game, but the main drawback is the final boss, which is way too easy to defeat in terms of strategy. Still reccomended, though.

I've been playing Jewel of the Nile for a long time. Today it says I have it in my Steam library but if I want to play it says it is not installed and to install it asks for repeated payment! What is going on? How can I have someone to take care of this?

Short version: 71%
Jewel of the Nile was made for those who couldn’t get enough of Serious Sam 3. The levels (along with the end boss) are challenging and enormous, but they also feel drawn out– so it is only recommended for true enthusiasts.

Long version:
Serious Sam 3: Jewel of the Nile takes place between the 9th and 10th levels of the original campaign and has a similar concept as the medieval world had in the Second Encounter: three stages, all with different approach in design, so everyone can find their favourite.

Unluckily, it starts with probably the weakest one, an island where the similarity of the structures and the objectives results in a lot of unnecessary running around. We have to wait until the second stage to return Sam to his natural element with a long gauntlet of streets and open fields… ending in a painfully bland and disorienting underground level.
It seems the final stage was meant to be the real attraction, as it not only features a rarely seen level type (valley maze), but it also reintroduces the jetpack… only to take it away not long before the final boss fight. Said boss can shoot through any cover, has a mountain of health, and requires a gimmick to hurt, so the fight is both challenging and fun.

The DLC also played around the bit with the weaponry. The laser gun and sniper rifle – both secret-only weapons in the main game – are now freely available, and the sledgehammer’s model was changed into an axe. (Yeah, the claim in the store description about the new weapons is, well, not true.) CroTeam also designed the levels to make sure these weapons can be used a lot, so even if you were left out of sniping in the campaign, there are plenty of opportunities to catch up here.

I think this DLC is a must have for any Serious Sam fans out there.

It carries out the gameplay of Serious Sam 3 and brings back the good stuff from Serious Sam 1 that the main game didn't have :
-more enemy variety;
-a bit more level variety;
-more silly humour and less seriousness;
-the Harpies are used much more than in the main game - sometimes even spammed - and the Reptiloids make their - I think welcome - return, making the gameplay focus not only on the enemies that utilise the ground, but also on those that can attack you from afar and thus, making the game a bit more difficult and interesting (the lack of this was a major problem that I had with SS3).

The things I'm more negative about this DLC :
-the Lazergun and the Sniper Rifle are normal weapons this time around - but the minigun and the cannon aren't! What the hell?
-only 3 levels;
-not worth the full price.

Get it, but not at full price.

I rate the add-on DLC pack content to Serious Sam 3 BFE, The Jewel of The Nile 3/5. Ok,

+ This has all the same benefits and positive aspects as the the main Serious Sam 3: BFE game.
+ A couple of nice weapons brought back from the first two Serious Sam Encounters.
+ The dialogue in this add-on is uncharacteristically good for a Serious Sam game.

- No new music in this add-on. Some redone versions of the original First Encounter music would have been nice to have at least.
- This content takes place somewhere about half way through the main game giving it a feel that it is content that definitely should have been included in the original game (which was pretty short as it is).
- This add-on is also really short as it consists of just 3 levels.
- The boss fight is unimaginative in the extreme. It is, in many ways, just a really big version of one of the normal enemies (well that's what it looks like anyhow).
- Probably too expensive given what it is unless you get it as part of a special sale on the whole serious sam franchise like I did and wow...this really should have been included as part of Serious Sam 3's main game anyhow. It feels lazy of the game developers to release it later on like this.

I feel like the price is not worth it and would recommend buying it on sale or in a bundle. Aside from the price, the expansion adds more to your serious experience and delivers more cheezy lines from your favorite badass. I seriously recommend this product.

Jewel of the Nile adds three more campaign levels to Serious Sam 3, featuring more of the pitched battles the series is famous for. Sam gets a "new" weapon, an axe (it behaves exactly like the sledgehammer in the main campaign) and the Alduran Reptiloids return from the earlier titles. The sniper rifle and laser cannon are now found out in the open, as opposed to tucked away in secret areas where, if you're me, you never found them in the course of the main campaign. There's a few annoying puzzles, a jetpack section, a new boss, more secret areas to find and more lowbrow quips from Sam. Its a thin addon for the price, but I got it on sale.

Honestly, I loved the first two levels. Unfortunatey, the third evel glitches really bad for me and all he textures turn to white and black flashing really fast. If this could be fixed, that would be pretty tight. Really wanna fight that final boss.

An excellent but short expansion for Serious Sam 3 with a couple of new levels, enemies, weapons and one big (and I mean BIG) boss at the end.

Nothing special, but keeps you entertained if the base game wasn't enough for you. There is a story here, too, which is about... oh, well, I have forgotten. The bottom line is: it is an excuse to shoot and blow up hundreds of more aliens.

If discounted it is a great purchase - I believe 10 euros is a bit too much considering the content at the moment.

Short expansion pack. Only 3, but at least very good levels. If you're still interested after killing that ugly endboss from the main game, then get this (but only on sale maybe). New levels look beautiful, the sniper and lasergun are back as regular weapons, jetpack is used more (which I didn't care for much, but why not). Sledgehammer got replaced with axe. New enemy type (an old enemy from the first game returns, which was missed in Serious Sam 3). Epic boss. Co-Op worth it again.

And what a jewel this one is. Seriously.

Three more levels, set near the end of the SS3:BFE campaign. They add a bunch more laughs, give you a few more hours with Serious Sam 3 (or dozens more, depending on how ravenous your fanaticism is), and you get to kill more of Mental's monster minions. Who doesn't love that?

The three levels of the "Jewel Of The Nile" campaign take place right after "The Power Of The Underworld" from the SS3:BFE campaign. Play these three levels after that, then move on to "The Lost Temples Of Nubia" and complete the game.

Oh yeah. Remember the XL2 Lasergun and RAPTOR sniper rifle from SS3:BFE main campaign? No? That's probably because you didn't find the secrets. Anyway, you didn't miss much, as the damn things didn't come with that much ammo.

But have no fear! In "Jewel Of The Nile", you get the XL2 Lasergun and RAPTOR sniper rifle as main weapons (if you please). You'll find plenty of ammo for them. So go nuts! Seriously!
You also get a nifty Battle Axe instead of a sluggish Sledgehammer. They function the same, but look different. Go wild.

So buy "Jewel Of The Nile", and have fun. Then go buy "Legend Of The Beast" for SS1HD:TFE.

This DLC isn't bad but it's not worth full price. There's only 3 maps which makes it really short. The laser gun and sniper rifle become common weapons rather than being secret like in the main game. You get to use the jet pack in the first half of the third map but that's about the only things I liked in this DLC. Overall, I don't think it's really worth it unless you buy it during a sale.
