About This Game

Serious Sam 3: BFE is a first-person action shooter, a glorious throwback to the golden age of first-person shooters where men were men, cover was for amateurs and pulling the trigger made things go boom.

Serving as a prequel to the original indie and Game of the Year sensation, Serious Sam: The First Encounter, Serious Sam 3 takes place during the Earth’s final struggle against Mental’s invading legions of beasts and mercenaries.

Key Features

  • Frantic Arcade-Style Action – Hold down the trigger and lay waste to a never-ending onslaught of attackers or face being overrun by Mental’s savage beasts. No cover systems, no camping – it’s just you against them. All of them!
  • Fearsome Enemy Creatures – A new battalion of unforgettable minions including the rumbling Scrapjack and towering Khnum join the legendary Headless Kamikaze, Gnaar and Sirian Werebull to create the fiercest opposition you’ve ever had the pleasure of mowing down!
  • Spectacular Environments – Battle across the expansive battlefields of near-future Egypt bursting at the seams with total chaos. The shattered cities of tomorrow lined with the crumbling temples of an ancient world become your destructible playground!
  • Destructive Arsenal – Unleash Serious Sam’s arsenal of weapons including a scoped assault rifle, the double-barreled shotgun, the explosive automatic shotgun, the punishing minigun, and the almighty barrage of flaming cannonballs! Carry all of Sam’s weapons at once and switch between each gun on the fly for maximum firepower!
  • Brutal Melee Attacks – When the going get’s tough, the tough take matters into their own hands! Rip out the eye of a closing Gnaar, twist off the face of the hideous Scrapjack or snap the neck of an Arachnoid Hatchling for an instant kill!
  • Co-Op Multiplayer – Go to war against Mental’s horde with up to 16 players online and annihilate everything that moves across 12 single-player levels of mayhem in Standard Co-Op, Classic Co-Op, Coin-Op Co-Op, Beast Hunt and Team Beast Hunt mode.
  • Survival Singleplayer & Multiplayer – Try to survive alone (offline) against wave after wave of enemies with specially created levels in Survival mode or have your online friends join two teams, fighting both each other and enemies, in the relentless Team Survival mode!
  • Versus Multiplayer – Fight against each other or other teams in various multiplayer versus modes like Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Capture the Flag, Last Man Standing, Last Team Standing, Instant Kill and My Burden, along with Team Beast Hunt and Team Survival!
  • Split Screen Modes – Play local (offline) split screen co-op and multiplayer versus modes with up to four players on one screen! It even includes the support for multiple keyboards and mice!
  • Level Editor* – Create your own levels, MODs, textures and other content with the inclusion of the fully featured Serious Editor 3.5!
  • Steam Workshop – Submit your content creation or download new player-created content and modifications for Serious Sam 3!
  • Misc Game Options – 5 difficulty levels, quick-save, auto-save, multiple save slots, 3rd person view, co-op gameplay tweaking options, game controller support, localized with subtitles, parental blood & gore control including hippie mode, various color schemes, tons of advanced graphics options to tweak, cheats, console, Steam trading cards, achievements, leaderboards and cloud and much, much more!

I found this game to be very good. I doesn't take itself seriously as most of other FPS, Sam seems to be an irreverent guy.
But gameplay is frantic! Instead of enemies placed in predetermined places, they appear in waves and are challenging. I played it on normal difficulty and had quite a challenge.
Definitely underrated, and ver enjoyable. Give it a try if you like FPS

While Sam is the only survivor on Earth

Alien: It's all over, Sam. You can't win.

Sam: Over? Oh, it's not over until I teabag every last one of you alien motherf*ckers.

That's how awesome and legend game it is

This game is good in cases below:-
1) Single player story better than (The first encounter) and (The second encounter)
2) Good FPS's and dynamic lights
3) Survival (most thing still playing on it)

However, there are some dissapointments in that game:
1) Lots of bugs in Versus mode. (-1)
2) Fatal Bug in survival like (Werebull killing you in seconds with many of damages) -BUG- (-0.3)
3) Survival map "Under Pressure" has bugged wall, which is preventing enemies get you. -BUG- (-0.2)

Rate: 8.5/10

Charging around blowing S*** up to the sound of heavy metal - what's not to like?!

Graphics are gorgeous too.

In fact simply writing this review has inspired me to go and play the campaign again!

This is definately a Serious Sam game, I played it quite far and enjoyed every minute of it but there were a few things that bothered me:

- Why did Cro Team have to add reloading to some of the Guns it is just too irritating to add a mechanic to a game were you do not have to take cover and reload.. caused me many a death to frantically reload because the clip was dry.
- I like the sprinting mechanic but i feel it makes the game a little too easy if you can out run the kamakzee bombers turn around and pop them from a safe diistance, Guess this is more of a Serious Sam purist gripe than a fault.
- I understand that it is in the Future and egypt is not supposed to look vibrant, but did it have to look so drab

Either those the game is pretty much impressive and well worth the time, and I recommend it to anyone who loves frantic shooter action like Every Doom game except DooM 3 offers.. Buy this game and understand what it really means to be overwhelmed by your enemies.

Been a fan of these since 12 years ago. It's awesome and the exciting part, as usual is the bomb-head armies. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

..but then I got stucked in some mission because things just got really real serious.

At the beginning the game gives of the idea that you should progress to get more weapons, while in reality it comes down to only using the first too weapons you find.

And the progressing feels dull instead of awesome. You keep running into the same set of boxed areas filled with trash you have to kill of to run into yet another box filld with the same trash with a number of different areas.

And to increase the difficulty they didn't made the enemies smarter, they just add more of the same in that room. So imagine a filled party room, where everyone wants to kill you and jumps on you.

I really hope I don't get too much hate for not recommending this game, but I just really don't like this game at all. Here comes the list... Bad graphics, bad gameplay, bad voice acting, bad story, bad everything. Don't bash me yet, I already understand that the game is supposed to be comical, but they could have done better. Look at the Borderlands franchise, they know how to be comical, but also keep an interesting story, great voice acting, amazing gameplay, awesome graphics, and a lot more. Serious Sam 3: BFE is an absolute train wreck! It's barely worth $5 to be completely honest...
I couldn't even play through the entire game because it's so cringeworthy! I'm sorry to disappoint all of you Serious Sam fans, but this game just doesn't do it for me. I definitely do not recommend this game at all. I found myself laughing through the beginning of the story because it's so terrible. Really wish they could take notes from Borderlands, and try to go up that route next time! In the end, do not buy Serious Sam 3: BFE. The game is a disappointment, for sure.
