What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We want to make a good product and therefore we have to send our game to Early Access in order to test the game mechanics (craft system, combat system and its balance, content generation system and others). It is very important for us that people who liked our project could contribute to it and tell us about all the bugs and negative points that they found at earlier stages of development.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“The product will be in Early Access stage until all mechanics are finally be approved by the community. It is in our interests that this will happen as soon as possible. We hope that by the spring of 2018 the product is guaranteed to leave Early Access.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“In the full version of the game, there will be available a full storyline, a fully functioning game content generation system (we're currently really actively working on this one), support for more languages and much more.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Alpha testing”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“During Early Access, product price will not change. After leaving out the Early Access program, the amount of content in the game will be significantly increased, so the price of our game will increase too, but insignificantly.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We are already actively communicating with players in social networks and in discussions of the game on Steam. The Early Access program will allow us to be even closer to the players, they will be able to directly offer their ideas for improving the game process and literally, in the next patches will see these changes.”

Failed State Demo 2.0 Release

Today we present new the latest demo version of Failed State which contains extended gameplay. This is the last demo we’ve been planning to release, here you can try out basic mechanics and have a taste of what a full game will be like.

Originally, we had a plan to release small updates every weak on our demo with minor changes and bug fixes, so final demo version was supposed to be 1.5, but on 1.3 version we stopped and rearranged our plans. So we release a cumulative ‘big’ final update.

It has a really big changelog, we’ve shortened it a bit:
  • Localization fixes

  • Character behavior and interaction with object bug fixes

  • 2 new playable locations

  • All-new completed storyline in Demo

  • Gamepad support fixes

  • Hub location interface reimagined

  • Combat system with shooting preview
So, we really hope you’ll like the full version of the game coming to Early Access really soon and we’d like to thank all of you for your support and belief.
