"Solid 2D platformer with well designed levels and adorable art. High amount of content, including a level editor. Very difficult, but very gratifying."

About This Game

Super Meat Boy is a tough as nails platformer where you play as an animated cube of meat who's trying to save his girlfriend (who happens to be made of bandages) from an evil fetus in a jar wearing a tux.

Our meaty hero will leap from walls, over seas of buzz saws, through crumbling caves and pools of old needles. Sacrificing his own well being to save his damsel in distress. Super Meat Boy brings the old school difficulty of classic NES titles like Mega Man 2, Ghost and Goblins and Super Mario Bros. 2 (The Japanese one) and stream lines them down to the essential no BS straight forward twitch reflex platforming.

Ramping up in difficulty from hard to soul crushing SMB will drag Meat boy though haunted hospitals, salt factories and even hell itself. And if 300+ single player levels weren't enough SMB also throws in epic boss fights, a level editor and tons of unlock able secrets, warp zones and hidden characters.
  • Story mode, featuring over 300 levels spanning 5+ chapters
  • Play as a Head Crab! (Steam Exclusive)
  • 33 legitimate Achievements
  • Warp zones that will warp you into other games
  • Over 16 unlockable able and playable characters from popular indie titles such as, Minecraft, Bit.Trip, VVVVVV and Machinarium
  • Epic Boss fights
  • Full Level Editor and Level Portal (January 2011)
  • A story so moving you will cry yourself to sleep for the rest of your life

I played this game for a good hour, I grew frustrated easily and meaning to smash my fist down on the already dent desk surface, I smashed down on my scalding hot, cup of tea.

I think that pretty much explains what idiotic things this game can do to you, if you have a short temper.

One of the best platformers ever made. With very tight controls, clever level design and a great, unique art style, this is a game you have to play.

Beautifull, fun, challenging and rewarding.
If you are not a hardcore gamer you'll probably not do 100%, but you sure will enjoy to go as far as you do.

Super Meat Boy is the game that started the gamers obsession for brutal precision platformers. Is certainly one of the hardest games of all time, but is always fair and also extremely rewarding. It will test your patience, but when you finally pass a hard level you feel super satisfied! It's not a game for everyone and it seems almost impossible to 100% finish it, but I recommend to people who like to challenge themselves!

Frustratingly hard and unforgiving, to progress in this game requires a large amount of skill. But if platformers are your thing, than this game is a golden oppertunity to prove yourself and to have a lot of fun in doing so. It is of high quality and has everything you'd want in a good platformer.

Do you like platformers? Do you like rage? Do you like death? Well if so this game is for you!

Super Meat Boy adds comedic violence with a stragtegic placement of button presses. It is a charming game with lots of death related jokes, hilarious characters and a LOTS OF GORE! This game focuses on the amazing difficulty, you will find yourself wishing that "That one spike wasn't there" but it isn't hard enough to make you hate the very idea of clicking play. I would suggest Super Meat Boy to everyone I know and don't know! BUY IT!

Super Meat Boy is a great game and will last you more than most AAA games coming out right now. There are over 300 ball crushing, mind numblingly hard levels that you can be tortured in. The controls are really good, it just takes a bit to get used to them. Super Meat Boy is a must buy for platformer fans or just people who are fans of good games.
