"The Deer" is an educational interactive experience for children.
You'll be an ancient Deer during the Pleistocene (Ice Age) epoch and you'll discover everything about this marvelous era.

- Did you know that during the Pleistocene there were no dinosaurs? They had become extinct at the end of the Cretaceous Period, more than 60 million years before the Pleistocene Epoch began.

- Did you know that many animals, specifically, mammals were much larger in body form than their modern relatives?

- Did you know that this age witnessed the final extinction of the giant shark Megalodon, that had been the top predator of the oceans for millions of years?

Here are some of the interesting facts that you'll find out playing "The Deer"!
Unfortunately there were no T-Rexes during this age since they were already extinct millions of years before.

Simple game for children. Sorta-kinda like educational software, only a little slow going and some big words used for the audience you think would play this basic 5 minute game.

Oh deer, a "serious" review!

I hardly take it into my own hooves, I mean, hands, to make a "serious" review. But this game is desperately lacking one, so I'm giving it a go – just for the fawn of it.

The Deer is a very short game, but it does what it is set out to do with plenty of charm. This game tries its best at being sweet and clear about a very special animal: the deer. It is easy to fallow along the explanations, without staggering behind – even if you happen to be a young calf.

  • The art is adorable – really, it's smooth as velvet! It caught my eye in a hart beat.
  • The mini-games are scarce and short, but I figure they suit their purpose well, so the game shouldn't loose points because of that.
  • The background music isn't exceptional or hyper-articulate, but it is suitable fur the brief playing time.

Conclusion:

You'll at least learn (and remember!) a hooveful of facts about the deer during this little endeavour, so buckle up and trot into a little discovering trip. I suppose kids will have more fun than does of us who are already too seasoned for some non-action non-adventurous non-super exploding point and clicking experience, but if the theory that learning is easier through games holds any truth, this game is a worthy purchase for the young – and therefore certainly amoosed. It will most surely help those who can't lern or grasp certain facts about such a splendid animal.

Just remind your kids and yourself: this deer is not up for trophy!
