Ah yes... PAC-MAN! One of the most iconic video games and character in the entire industry has arrived on Steam. This version just has nice extra settings like more starting lives, pick which stage to start at, and a funny way to keep the glitch from the infamous level 256 lol.

PAC-MAN still and will forever remain a classic game that never gets old!

The 1980`s arcade classic arrives to Steam!

Released in 1980 in the U.S by Bally Midway MFG .CO, Pac-Man is the original cult classic that took the world by strom! In Pac-Man, you play as (You guessed it), Pac-Man, gobbling up dots in a maze while avoiding 4 Ghost Monsters names, Blinky, Pinky, Inky, Clyde. But, you can turn the tables on the monsters by eating a Power Dot that turns the Ghosts blue and allowing you to eat them for big points.

This version of Pac-Man of Steam is very nice port of the arcade game!

-Clear sounds
-Legit arcade game (Not a re-creation)
-Includes the famous level 256 glitch!
-Achievements

I really do recommend this game to everyone, it`s a true classic!

Pac-man stop working after PC upgrade. with my old i5 3450 ivy bridge 8gb ram HD6870 no problem
Now with i7 6700 Skylake 16gb ram GTX970 screen turns black, no sound.
Same with Galaga and Digdug.
Any ideas ?

Pac-Man was originally supposed to be called "Puck-Man" but was changed to Pac-Man after the developers found out how easy it was to be changed to F***-Man in every English country.

REAL REVIEW
It's the exact 1980s classic.... on PC.

Before I played this, I was expecting a horrid PC port that was just a laggy emulation of the game. After playing a few games of it, I came to a conclusion that the port was not perfect, but was passable. The game is emulated almost perfectly. The only thing I noticed is that every once and awhile Pac-Man seems to get stuck sometimes when he turns. I don't remember if that was supposed to be part of the game or some glitch (If it isn't this part will be removed), but it can be prevented by turning just at the right moment or if you do get stuck press any arrow key to get moving again. The last imperfection of this port is that the game has no mouse support and to exit the game you must click the red "x" on the top of the game's window (or Alt-F4 if you prefer).

The last few things you should know about this game is that it has Steam achievements and leaderboards, that is what separates this version from all the rest other than the fact that it's the only way to own the original Pac-Man game on PC offically (excluding the Pac-Man collection, that port was much worse that this).

- Can't change controls.

If you dont like PAC-MAN, you have no soul.

I'm a massive fan of the original Pacman game. I;ve easily played a hundred hours of other ports over the last few years.

I can't recommend this port. It has some great things like leaderboards, scanlines and achievements.

The problem for me is in the most crucial area of a pacman game. The controls.

(Windows 10)
XBOX One controller does not work. Always moves left. I am aware of possible fixes but I know these break other games.

Anyway, that's not how I like to play pacman :)
I've an Arcade FightSick SFIV xbox 360 (set to 4 way mode via restrictor plates) which I've used for years to play pacman.

It does not work with this game :(

In Left Stick mode you get no response from joystick.
In DP mode you get Left and Right ok. However, Up and Down are switched.

Funny thing is that in Pacman Museum the stick works perfectly in LS mode.

A fix would be very welcome.

Such a good game!!! Get it for reliving the past!

This is Pac-Man, the original, in a pure and un-molested form.
What more do I need to say?
Very addicting.
