About This Content

Klei Entertainment has partnered with our friends at CAPY, creators of Superbrothers: Sword and Sworcery, Super Time Force and Below; to bring fans of Don’t Starve the latest single-player expansion: Don’t Starve: Shipwrecked!

In Don't Starve: Shipwrecked, Wilson finds himself stranded in a tropical archipelago. He must learn to survive all over again in this new environment filled with new biomes, seasons, and creatures.

  • Explore an Entirely New World: The entire world is different. Explore new biomes filled with new resources. Scavenge for new sources of food. Run for your life from a host of new creatures.

An amazing expansion, completely changes how I play Don't Starve. I kind of wish they had found a way to properly integrate it with the base game however.

DLC seems a little under rating. This is practically a whole other game! I was satisfied with RoG, but I wanted something more......different, and Shipwrecked is different. This is by far my favorite "DLC" of Don't Starve by far. It has a different aspect of the game. The seasons are harsh, the boss monsters are very different from Giants, and you can sail on the Ocean! There are a ton of new creatures like the idiotic Doydoy, to the much rewarding Swordfish. There are also a ton of new items, and playstyle WILL be different from the other games. There are much more to what I have said here, so go ahead and play! You will not regret buying and playing this "DLC", it's a whole new game!

Shipwrecked adds a whole lot of exploration with the new sailing mechanic. If you enjoy Don't starve and want a different playstyle and new characters to try, I'd reccomend Shipwrecked.

I think that this DLC is great. It adds a whole new level of survival into the regulsr Don't Starve world. Although it is so amazing it should have Don't Starve Together features. Thanks.

This New DLC is one of the best so far in my opinion.
if I could make some suggestions for future updates here are some of my suggestions.

-A flooring you could place on shallow water to make a base in the middle of the water ( 4 logs. 5 boards. 3 rope. )
-A minimap ( pressing tab gets annoying when looking to see where you are on the map)
-A new Pirate NPC ( has their own ship, hostile to all characters but Woodlegs.)
-When high tides come in your boat gets washed away.
An Anchor will prevent your boat from getting washed away. Possible recipe 4 stone, 3 rope.
-An inland lake biome. ( new fish )
-A new boat, The Galleon. ( 20 boards. 3 cannons. 30 rope. 15 cloth. )

Like this post if you agree if these should be added into the game in the next big update.

Shipwrecked is by far my favourite addition to Don't Starve yet.

I was happy with RoG, but still wished it provided something that felt newer and fresher, Shipwrecked gives that. It's an entirely new experience, but still has the feel of the Don't Starve we know and love. There are so many new things to discover, it captures that feeling from when you first played Don't Starve, you're cold, hungry, afraid, and loving every minute of it.

How Klei have adapted the base game for tropic based survival is ingenious, with tides, monsoons, tornadoes, a whole host of new foods and monsters, new weapons and inventive and aesthetically pleasing islands and biomes, all in the Tim Burton-esque style that captured our eyes in the base game.

10/10 would surf away from a tigershark again

Outright amazing.

New biomes, new creatures, new characters, new crafting recipes...basically a whole new game disguised as a tiny DLC!

Do yourself (and Capybara Games + Klei) a favour and buy it. You won't regret it.

Screamed when a snake fell on me when I cut down a jungle tree.
Got angry when a bunch of annoying monkeys followed me and stole every gold piece from the rocks I mined.
Laughed at the hounds when they tried to attack me but I jumped on my boat, leaving them stranded on the small island on which they attacked me.
Cried when a bunch of walking palm trees bombarded me with coconut bombs.
Greatest DLC so far.
