This game effectively killed the series - after falling in love with dungeon siege and it's expansions and sequel I have no clue who directed the game into this pile of ♥♥♥♥. Absolute trash GUI, mechanics, clunky AI, terrible skills, nothing that was loved about 1 or 2 is here.

Dungeon Siege III is, of course, the third game in the roleplaying series this time developed by Obsidian and published by SQUARE ENIX. You choose one of four different character classes and begin an adventure to take back the nation of Ehb from an evil force that has gained control of the land and declared war on all of the former protectors of Ehb, known as leggionairies. The title has all the elements of a traditional roleplaying game with you, the player, gaining experience points through combat, completing quests and discovering lore. You use these points to upgrade your chosen characters abilities and gear to your particular style of play. Graphically the game is beautiful, it's played in a isometric top-down view much like "Diablo" and the "Baldur's Gate" titles. The environments are varied, colorful and full of the little details that one looks for in games of this type. Both the sound and musical score are excellent as well. I have to admit though that for some strange reason I remember downloading and playing the demo of this game right before it launched a few years ago and I did not like it. I can only believe that's because of my gaming habits having changed around that time and me moving more towards RPG's like "Skyrim" and "Kingdoms Of Amalur" and away from the old-school roleplaying games that first captured my interests in the genre to begin with. I don't know...all I can say now is this is indeed a great game and highly recommended for roleplaying gamers!!!

What happened to this franchise? The first and second games were incredible, this one is a pale imitation with horrible controls and confusing skill trees. It's the best looking Dungeon Siege game yet but that's where the praise ends. I tried to like it but was thwarted at eery turn. It took the "Play" out of Rold Playing Game...

This game is quite bad. Well, the graphics and some of the mechanics are really good but the cam, multiplayer and other features like leveling up is terrible and annoying. Even picking up objects is a pain. I give this game a 4/10.
