Welcome to UNDERTALE. In this RPG, you control a human who falls underground into the world of monsters. Now you must find your way out... or stay trapped forever.

To be honest when i started to play Undertale i had zero expectations, and was sceptical for its hype. Friends whom played the game were like ''Zomg when you're gonna play Undertale? You MUST DO IT!!!!!!1!!!11!'' and when i replied ''Dunno if i even want to..'' oh man, that was almost cardinal crime in their eyes.

However i never judging games before playing them hence adventure started. And after beating (probably) all endings....daaaamn...i haven't been so impressed for ages.

But first things first. Let's analyze the game.
Undertale is Indie RPG (more or less) made just by one guy, which is really impressive. Story isn't linear, it changes by your playing. Decisions you made ACTUALLY MATTERS. For every action there's consequences and that's why i love it.

Battles are interesting. Basically it's bullet hell where you try to survive. But worry not, it's not so hard as it sounds...well.. there are few exceptions but after learning pattern and with dose of determination you can do it.

The characters are so well written and have strong, unique personalities. Makes you questioning moral principes not just in the game but in real life as well.

The best thing (atleast in my opinion) is soundtrack. It's perfect for every situation which you encounter.

Summary: Pros-story, decisions, characters, soundtrack, battles, morals within story
Cons- only found one SPOILERS!- In genocide run some bosses died after one hit,it's epic,sure but c'mon i expecting to had hard time with Mettaton atleast. ,also wish it could be a little longer...

My final verdict is 10/10! Legendary game! (Explenation: There's no thing such as 'perfect' game. However this is closest thing what i found. The story worthy of replaying it,brutally changing by your action so you feel like you're playing totally different game and i love this concept.)

So yea....i finally understand why my friends were so obsessed.

6/10. worthwhile for anyone that likes silly and immature drama.

gameplay
6/10. the battle system is cool at first but is quickly overused like in the original Pokémon games, even without grinding (optional and affects story). it stipulates hoarding food (healing) in a really shallow way. some "choices" are ideal but unexplained and gimmicky. there are three major endings, and several small variations of each, based on who the player kills and whether they follow through with a small quest at the end.

5/10. not rebindable. arrow keys to move, Z/enter to select/fire, X/shift to cancel, C/control to open the menu.

audio
8/10. the jazzy tracks (Ghost Fight and derivatives) and cave ambiances are great. some of the Japan-inspired fight tracks are bland. the sound effects are typical chiptune dings and pops.

graphics
7/10. decent pixel art but could be better. the large sprites (in shops) are messy and look like rasterisation of vector art.

story
8/10. it's interesting but not well-presented. the dialogue ranges between believable/in-character and stupid/forced, often for the purpose of drama and memes. the bulk of the lore is in signs and books in-game, which are too raw and sparse to be fluidly understandable. Asriel best character

This game's story is amazing. Some funny moments, some sad moments, some charming moments. I'd recommend this gam e to almost anyone who is interested in a story that hooks you and keeps you wanting to play and know more.

My view over Undertale

Oh boy, there's a lot of things I wanna say about this game.
I've thought a lot back when It first came out on Steam, I heard how everyone said the game was good and so on.
Now 1 year later, I tried it and I can't believe it. I can't believe I didn't buy this at the very beginning.
This game has such a powerful story, I can't describe it. I just love every second and minute I've spent on it.

The game is about a human child named Frisk, a girl who wakes up in the underground.
You have to explore and go through a lot of difficult situations and make decisions that will effect the game to the end.
If you like to explore and basically have something to occupy yourself with, this will be the best game for just that.
Things happen when you don't expect it, you get a view over the different characters and their life.
What's even more impressing is that the guy who made the game did all animations and sound effects by himself.
The game is not like something else you'll ever play, this is one of a kind.
I've played this game over and over many times and I still enjoy every time like the first.
I love the way you fight against monsters, there is always different ways to avoid and fight them.
The music is also one of the best things about this game, It's so great and somehow "powerful".
You'll get a different feeling from any other games.
If you happen to have some money, don't hesitate to buy this game. It's so worth the money, no doubt.

Would I recommend it?

Hell yeah, that's all I have to say.

If you love RPG's, Bullet Hell Shooters, or getting the feels, then do yourself a favor and buy Undertale ASAP!

I give it 10 plates of spaghetti out of 10 and I would definitely be filled with DETERMINATION again!

This Game is really good, when it came out i didnt know why people were so exited about the game , but when i decided to play the game myself i understanded why.
There arent alot of Games, that managed to make me either sad/ laugh. or suprise me , but this game managed to do that.
The Story is amazing! I Played the game blind, heard it was good , but never actually took the time to watch some gameplay, and at the end i was happy i didn't.
The Soundtrack is one of the best soundtrack i ever heard, and it really helps you getting the experience of the game.
Not only the Soundtrack, but the personality of all the Characters really change the experience.

I have finished the game several times now, and once u play it, u'll know why u should play it several times.

Really worth the 10 Euros <3

I didn't manage to get this game on sale, but to be honest, I'm kind of glad - the dev definitely deserves my money. I was really skeptical of this game when I saw all the hype it got on the internet, but after watching a playthrough of it while extremely bored, I fell in love with it and I have absolutely no regrets about buying it, even though I'd already been spoiled about all of the endings.

Undertale is honestly a great game with a huge amount of replayability (Seriously look at my hours on record) and every playthrough has you still discovering new things, each time. Any time you think to yourself 'Okay but what would happen if I DIDN'T do this?' even for something as simple as being instructed to press a button to move on, try it. Seriously, try it. I guarantee you nine times out of ten, Toby is already five steps ahead of you and something will happen, usually something pretty amusing too. I don't wanna say too much about the plot because of spoilers, but it's incredibly heartwarming, and if you love goofy games that will get laughs out of you, amazing soundtracks and loveable casts, this game is 1000% for you.

As for the famdom? Everyone has things they like and don't like, and if you feel the fandom looks kind of cringeworthy, just don't get involved in it. If you're really not sure, get the demo first or wait for a sale.

As for criticism... There's not a ton I can give, but I will say the first zone is rather slow and tedious. Unfortunately that also happens to be the area covered in the demo which can get boring fast, but the game really kicks off as soon as you arrive in the second zone. And while it isn't a horror game, some parts may put some people off and is also gets incredibly, incredibly meta, so keep that in mind if that isn't your thing.

Overall, great game that deserves a chance that isn't based on any reputation it's got outside of the plot and gameplay itself. Good fun and a super creative battle system. And all made by one person? This is really, really impressive.

Good game, good plot, ♥♥♥♥ing disgusting ending. Horrible flowey fight at the end, cancerous community ruins the game. Sad to see youtube littered with videos of this. Not worth the money. 4/10
