Awesome addition to the Civ franchise - perhaps the best to date. Very open-ended gameplay allowing you to achieve victory in a number of ways, be it through technological discovery, diplomatic clout or all-out war. The diplomacy and trade mechanics aren't quite as polished and intuitive as, say, Total War: Shogun 2, and the 1-unit vs1-unit combat can often be a little frustrating and unpredictable, but there's a sense of great accomplisment in watching your cities and friendships grow, denying a plea for peace from a rival empire that dared to once challenge your might, and renaming the conquered cities of your enemies 'Asstown' just to spite them. 9/10.
