Very fun game. First played it on an iPad several years ago, so when I saw it on sale here I had to pick it up. The game has pretty cool visuals at points but also plays very nicely. The arrow keys and turning takes a little bit of time to get used to but becomes natural after a few levels. Not an overly hard game, but definately some challenging points.

This title feels like some sort of weird mish-mash between Tetris and Marble Madness. There were times I wanted to chuck my controller at the wall after my cube fell to its death in the void. But then I realized it was 2014 and not many people play this frustrating of a game on a piece of hardware that uses a controller anymore.

Want something minimalistic and addictive? Look no further. Easy to pick up and easy to throw down.

First off, I really enjoyed this game on the iPhone a few years ago, so I thought I'd give the Steam version a try when it was on sale for 70 cents. Knowing the mobile version, I can say that EDGE just doesn't feel like it's meant to be played on a computer. This is mainly due to the fact that the handling is horrible. Even with a gamepad, it's extremely hard to get the hang of the controls.
So, as much as I loved the iPhone version, I can't advise you to buy this game. If you want to try it for its cool graphics and mechanics, 70 cents surely won't hurt anyone. Just don't pay the full price, which in my eyes isn't justified.

I played the 3DS version before finding out this was on Steam. I remember playing various Q*Bert games when I was younger, so the isometric view and controls was nostalgic for me. But combine that with the blocky theme and retro aethetic, as well as some really cool music, and I was hooked on what I'd call the funnest puzzle platformer I've played since Portal. Two Tribes does not disappoint here. Edge is incredibly fun and addictive, and I found myself laughing and praising the game when I was tricked by some of the levels, rather than getting frustrated and raging. If I had one gripe, it'd be that I was kinda sad to see the Steam version doesn't have a level editor and Workshop support. But even so, it's totally worth checking out for a fun puzzle platforming experience.

There's a good old-school feel here that I totally love.

Just a few drawbacks. If you're using a keyboard, the controls are a bit awkward as the board is at an angle but you're using arrow keys or WASD to control the cube,

I DO NOT RECOMMEND if you get motion sickness from games. I had to stop when I did because I couldn't look at the screen anymore. The nausea came quickly and hit hard.

If you don't get motion sickness and you're playing using a controller then I definitely recommend this if you're into retro puzzle platformers.

The game gets dull after awhile, but still good enough to play once awhile if you are bored or needed to kill time.

this game is fun and challenging game where your a block and you have to go through a bunch of puzzles! maybe not worth $7.99 but I think it is still a fun and addicting game.Once you get around lvl 15 it starts to get challenging and sometimes annoying when you contantly die.I personly give this game a 8/10 because I like things that are a little difficult but not so difficult were you have to play the same lvl for a week.

Fun little puzzle platformer. Clever level design. This game is certainly worth you $8, even better if it goes on sale.

It's good little puzzle game that requires you to react quickly and control the cube to run in the correct directons.
Fun to play and easy to challenge.

Quick review:

Short Verdict: First of all, it's more of a platformer than a puzzle game. Well, this game grows on you. At the beginning, I was kind of disappointed in Two Tribes. Then, I decided: "ok, I'll just beat the levels". After I did, I was "What the hell, I'll get all the achievements!" (and I did). One thing though: I started playing it on an old computer and the gameplay sucked. Unless you're running the game way above recommended settings (maybe just a video card with some decent dedicated memory will do), your experience probably won't be as good as it should be.

Pros:
  • Over 100 levels that are nice and feel unique
  • It's challenging, fun, and you grow to like it more as you play it
  • BGM is varied and all tunes are nice
  • Nice minimalist graphics (it's a pro for me)
  • You don't get thoughts like "If only this game had this feature..." or "Too bad it's missing from the game", which is a great sign. It feels like a 100% completed game
  • Has some replay value if you aim for high scores

Cons:
  • There's not much of a difficulty curve. It isn't rare to play a easier level after a tough one (and that's the only con I can think of)

Bought on / for: Steam Store for R$ 2.79 (US$ 1.22) - totally worth it!
