Toki Tori Review - Raymond K. Turcotte

I haven't beaten the game, nor have i spent a lot of time playing the game. I can tell though with only the 2 hours of me playing that it is an amazing game. Yet, it isn't for everyone. I love the challenge of it, but that's just me. Unlike most gamers, i have a laptop and i try to play it on the go. (In a car Etc.)

I recommend this game.

This is a puzzle game that looks cartoonish and plays like it would be for very young players ---- and I suppose it could be, but the various levels get extremely difficult as you progress so maybe those levels are for more experienced players.
I'm just not sure if the devs are aiming at a universal audience or not.

But at its heart it is a puzzle game that will require the thinking cap. It features very short levels that are connected only by the fact that the goal is the same in each ---- collect the designated number of eggs within the level. There is no story involved, just get the eggs and move on to the next level.
And that's ok, but after a while it gets a bit boring, for me.
To add to this, the game's pace is super slow. The main character moves slow, and the few enemies I've seen are slow.

The game reminds me of those Super Granny games where she is rescuing her cats ---- in slow motion with no story.

There are many who will see a good amount of appeal here, and the price is good (especially if on sale), so if you find cute, bright, colorful, and very challenging puzzle games to your liking you should check this one out.
Very hard to decide whether to click yes or no on this one ---- but since we all have different tastes in games, I'll recommend it, with reservations, because it's not one that I would personally spend more time with. Maybe the kids.

Toki Tori is essentially a puzzle game. I just finished all the stages in normal level without any helps, which indicated that the puzzle is fair and reasonable. There are several tools to clear each stage. What you need to do is to find the way to utilize these tools in the most efficient way (at right locations and at right timings). 90 percent of stages in normal level are fairly easy if you like puzzle games. However, there are several stages which require some hard thinking. There are hard level stages which I assume will be more challenging than normal level stages. I am looking forward to these hard level games. Re-playability value is not great. However if you can get it for $5, the game is definitely worth it

It's a solid polished puzzle game. I love it. The levels seem well thought out and the interaction feels nice and straightforward.
