This is a fun variation on solitaire with varied levels, along with a story, and a meta game with simple town building, as well as a Pokemon style pet system.

It would be a decent buy for 3 dollars or less.

On the same day that I express a disinterest in FaeVerse Alchemy (by the same devs) because of content, I will also express an enjoyment for this game. It's Solitaire, but a tweaked version of it that is really easy to pick up. Additional mechanics are slowly introduced as the game progresses, so the learning curve is pretty gradual.

I'm not too keen on the management bit of levelling up dropped eggs that can be hatched, which then have to be evolved with the right materials. I feel like the aspect is there for people who like playing a game with some quest-like structure, but it's so unobtrusive that I've been playing this game for a couple of hours straight and have completely forgotten about my pets. As far as I can tell, it's pretty much for fluff, so even if it's not your thing, it's not really a con.

Besides, being able to have it in a window just makes it so convenient for me to play it on the side while watching/listening to something else. For its price, especially a dollar during a sale, it's been pretty damn worthwhile.

I'm not really into card games like this but... this is very cute and fun! There's a LOT of game here too, I was shocked at seeing all the different modes. The 'campaign' is quite sizable too. I think I got this for under a dollar? Very glad I own this :)

Cute little game to relax....nice little faerie asses too <333...

it's charming so I'll ignore little things such as there could be more depth/complexity (it's solitaire style game anyway a card game, but the things like pets aren't integrated into the game).

Kind of like RPG Solitaire. You uncover resources as well as cards. Resources help you level up pets.

Also different obstacles block cards, and you have to uncover things to remove those obstacles.

When you complete a level - the first level was 9 rounds - you get points for various things like completing level completely.

If you like solitaire, this game adds a lot more little things to keep you engaged. Only advanced through first level so far.

Faerie Solitaire, as if you couldn't guess, is a solitaire game. It has a few things to make it different from being just regular solitaire. Sometimes you can't begin to work on a stack until you clear another stack first, and sometimes you need to activate a fire blast card to melt a frozen pile. There are also some things that can help you such as being able to undo a move and other unlockable benefits. You have to rescue a fairy by clearing enough cards across nine games, in addition to completing objectives like completing a game under a certain amount of time or getting a perfect game. There's not much else to say about this one, if you like solitaire, you'll probably like this game.

This game is NOT solitaire. It is a game that involves some mathematics, skill and training. Its a card game you play by yourself, but otherwise it is much more intricate than Solitaire. If you enjoy problem-solving, you should pick this game up.

The only complaint I have is that the story is essentially meaningless and its acting is terrible. Just skip the cutscenes and focus on gameplay. Also I would not have added the pokemon-like animal raising, it amounts to nothing.

Still recommending!

Good card game when you wanna kill some time while listening to the radio.
No better solitaire card game out there, this is it.
Some nice achievements to hunt if you're in to it.

The theme is a little childish. I'm not into faeries.
Personaly I think faeries should be on the bbq and consumed with lots of beers and garlic sauce.
But the gameplay is awesome.

You can't go wrong with solitaire. Faerie Solitaire is the game that everyone has played at some point in their life plus a story, rpg elements such as exp and upgrades, and some pleasant background noise.

.Game play.
Your objective is to count. You have a deck of cards from which you draw one card and then you try and place it on a card on the game board before you that either precedes it or follows it--i.e, if you have a 6, you can place it on a 5 or 7. It's very simple and very satisfying if you can get a good count running. Some boards have a gimick such as ice that can be removed if you clear the cards in front of a 'fireball' spell and thorns that can be removed if you clear the row of cards over their roots.

Besides that, you sometimes find eggs if you clear the rows of cards on the board and you can equip the pets inside of them so that they passively gain experience while you play. The pets evolve using ingredients you can find the same way you find their eggs, but their only function is for vanity (and achievements).

.Story/Premise.
You're trying to save the Faerie Land and you progress through each area by playing solitaire. It doesn't make much sense, but... Magic!

.Art style/graphics.
It's colourful and cartoony. The illustrations on the cards and for the pets are cute and the animations for the spells you cast or the combo meter are neat.

.Soundtrack.
It's peaceful. Suitable for a card game.

.Bottom line.
There's not much else to say. Faerie Solitaire is a nice way to pass the time. Definitely worth a look.

I'm sure everyone and their mother has written reviews about the damn eggs, so allow me to instead focus on a question I had for the entire duration of this game: Why do the cards have suits? The instructions take care to note that the suit of the cards don't matter, so why did the designers bother giving the cards suits at all? They already gave them custom images based on the pets, so they could've elminated card suit all together and streamlined the instructions. As it stands the suits only serve as a distraction.

That aside, I do enjoy this game. It's fun to figure out the best sequence of cards, and the longer the chain you're able to string the more satisfying it feels to end the combo. I thought the ending was far too abrupt, but considering that the story is thin and non-essential in the first place I suppose I shouldn't complain... BUT I'm going to anyway: The crying fairies got old fast. I'd like to see them... y'know, do something. They're magical flying glowy things; I have to imagine they're capable of more than crying at the protagonist.

But, I digress. The game's fun enough, although maybe not $10's worth of fun. If you catch it when it's at least half off, I do recommend giving it a go. Just try to keep your blood pressure down if you decide to go for the damn eggs (especially since the pets you hatch don't even do anything for you).

An entertaining Solitaire game, with quite simple, but engaging gameplay; and a nice story about faeries. This game is good for some relaxing during an afternoon; even though it's simple, there's still some challenge to it. The aesthethic is really nice, featuring some nice backgrounds for each of the different levels, all following a fantasy theme.

The game offers several modes; an adventure mode, in which you play through 40 levels, following the story of a kid who encountered faeries, and all the dangers he encountered during his journey to save them which, although might sound unnecessary for a solitaire game, adds a nice backstory. There's also a quickplay mode, in which you can replay any previously finished level, and a challenge mode, with some more difficult levels. Each level consists of 9 hands, and, while it's not necessary to collect all cards in each hand, there's still different objectives to complete in order to beat a level.

The game also includes a "Faerie Land"; think of it as an upgrade/collectibles shop, where you can get several different upgrades spending money you earn during the game, and also a hatchery for all the different pets you may encounter while you play. It is a nice addition to the game, giving it a bit more of depth.

As far as soundtracks go, it consists of several relaxing songs that play during each level, providing a calm environment while you play.

All things said, I think this is a recommendable solitaire game, for when you want some casual, relaxing fun.

This probably won't do well with other but i just love this game due to the simplicity and laid back gameplay. Kinda taken back in learning the rules but once you understand them the game is a chinch.I love this game and don't mind playing over and over again just i wish there more variety in the gameplay its self. Overall is a good game if you just wanna relax and play a game to kill some time.

Not exciting if that's what you want, but it's a good game for relaxing. There's bonuses and critters you can earn, but I basically view it as just solitare with calm music. Something to play before sleeping. Also, the layout changes every round to keep things interesting enough.

Solitaire - Made Easy With Magic
This is solitaire in a fantasy setting. It runs smoothly, has a bit of a story, and allows someone who has never played solitaire before to get into it an interesting way (however not the classical way). The game however is a bit of a grind fest as you have to complete stage after stage which eventually feels like a tedious task. However for those looking for a solid game of solitaire then this is it.
