It's not only very hard to complete but graphics, physics and game controls make it hard.

Overview
You play Randy, a guy who wants to escape prison because he was put there for a crime he didn't commit. On every level the object is to make it from the start point to the end point, escaping detection by cameras and other surveillance equipment.

The Good
- Promising concept
- Attempt at making up some kind of story to accompany gameplay
- Graphics are decent
- Option to use keyboard or mouse
- Variety of different detection equipment: E.g. motion sensors, cameras, lasers, etc
- Varied gameplay keeps levels fresh: E.g. walls and other objects to hide behind, different paths to exit, etc

The Bad
- Story is very silly and might as well not be added
- English is subpar
- Faulty detection: I actually walked slightly into several detection zones quite a few times without being detected
- Keyboard movement clunky and not fast enough: Instead of pressing just left and right to move, you have to face your character in the correct direction first, which takes up too much time
- Interface is very primitive: E.g. After entering the settings menu, there is no instruction on how to exit
- Levels more tedious than fun: E.g. On some levels you have to move very slowly, or move a few tiny steps at a time, or wait a long time, and if you fail, you have to go through it all over again!
- Some levels are incredibly frustrating, due mainly to your character not being able to move fast enough

Conclusion
Interesting concept but poor execution. Just isn't fun enough to hold interest for very long. Should be a free Flash game.

I'm enjoying this game, frustrating as it is. You use the mouse to control the direction that your convict is facing, and then click and hold the left mouse button to make him walk in that direction. He stops the instant that you release the button, which is good, because the goal is to navigate past a bunch of hazards while maneuvering through a level from entrance to exit. Put it another way, each level is a timed maze, for which you must both figure out the solution and then be able to execute the precise timing and control to effect the solution.

This is solid gameplay that hearkens back to dozens of platform, stealth, and puzzle games I played in the 80s (Biffdrop, anyone?) where the goal was just to clear the level so you could move on to the next one. It is difficult, as all those games are, but while I've been playing "Absconding Zatwor" I've never once felt like there was a cheap or unfair failure: when I fail, it's always because I timed my movement poorly, kept moving a little too long or started moving a little too soon. I do fail - I fail a LOT - but when you fail, you always start at the beginning of the level you're on. There's no limit to "lives" or punishment for repeated failure...you just have to keep trying until you get it right.

The gameplay is simple, and you may not like that. There's no way - at least as far as I've managed to progress into the game - to affect the levels in any way, nor are there any power-ups or cheats that I've seen. It's move, stop, move, stop, move, stop, until you are caught (starting the level over again) or you escape and advance to the next level.

The game looks and feels like it was made in two days. Less of a puzzle and more of fast reactions with clumsy movement system. And the name of the prison is Zatwor??? Zatwor is literally the Bulgarian (and maybe Polish, not sure) word for prison, written with english letters...

I really disliked the mouse-driven movement controls. It seems like it was designed for a touchpad, as any game like this designed for PC would allow WASD or gamepad-controls over the player. Sound was bad and graphics subpar. Not worth the (small amount) of money. There are better f2p stealth games out there.

This game would have been a great, free flash game, or even better in the mobile market.
It amazes me that the developer couldn't be bothered with adding keyboard input. If the game was targeted for a mobile audience I would understand. But only using mouse input causes some frustrating problems.
When trying to navigate around cameras, movement by mouse isn't really good for precision, and I kept getting busted because of it.
The game gets boring fast, has several annoying bugs, nothing really special about the graphics, there are more games out there like this that are free.

In short, I wouldn't recommend buying this game.

Only buy this game if it is on a massive discount, at least then you can sell the trading cards and make your money back.

Awful keyboard controls, runs terrible despite looking terrible, many glitches, VERY frustrating gameplay and game mechanics, and levels that are literally too hard and exploiting bugs is necessary for beating them. I hope the creators fixed many of these issues in the sequel that I will never buy.

(Here's a glitch: Using keyboard controls, standing still and holding down the left mouse button will cause the "toggling" red lasers to ignore you completely. This can be used to beat some of the near impossible levels)

Stay still in the sound detection areas. Ok yea, you stay still when you barely have a millisecond in the hall with that detection junk on both sides. And really, who goes to jail for life just because you were the only person at the crime scene? Buy a lawyer my friend.
