Stranded in Time is a typical tablet game: a 90-minute trip that won’t tire you out with any sort of difficult puzzles, but fun enough to pass the time with.

Long version:
Stranded in Time is the type of game you usually find on tablet app stores: a very simple, casual point ‘n’ click with a small cast and a short story.

Everything about this game is as simple as possible, down to the three main leads, their conversations, and even the plot—it may sound super exciting to go on an expedition under the ruins of a temple to find some ancient advanced machinery; but in reality, the whole thing is like a longer Saturday morning cartoon episode.

Even the gameplay wants to make sure that the player can just relax. The point ‘n’ click mechanics are kept as simple as possible, and the few puzzles are only intimidating if one never saw them before. But even then, there is an infinite hint and skip button, further proving that this game wants nothing but to provide some cheap and casual entertainment for about an hour and a half.

The game was enjoyable with simple puzzles. Nothing was frustrating and the game took a little under 2 hours to beat playing very casually. The only problems I found with the game was the dialog progresses on its own if you take more than a few seconds to click the next button, and there was a glaring typo in the dialog near the end.

I think it was worth the asking price .

A short point-and-click adventure game with a few puzzles. This is not a hidden object game, though it does have some similarities to them.

Olivia is visiting her uncle, who is an archeologist, and ends up going along with him and his young assisstant to a site at the ruins of an old church. Once there they discover that the workers have disappeared! And they discover something never seen before. There is some funny dialogue. The overall tone is light-hearted.

The game is played by clicking with the mouse to find objects on the screen, and clicking on the sides or bottom of the screen to move to the next area. There is a hint button if you are stuck and don't know what to do. There are also a few mini games that appear, but you can skip them if you want. Certain areas of the screen sometimes pop up with more detail, like a part of a shelf, and usually there's a special item there you have to interact with.

The items you find are stored in a backpack which can be opened and closed by the zipper (very nice idea there!), though sometimes you have to close the backpack before you can exit a room because you can't click at the bottom of the screen while the item tray is up. I had no logical problems with the items and their uses, unlike most hidden object games I've played (in one game you have to find scissors to cut something even though you already have a knife that could have suited that purpose). It's refreshing to play a game that doesn't make me go "Oh, seriously?" and facepalm.

The graphics are nice. Very colorful. Objects are nicely defined, sort of like cartoon or comic book. I prefer this style of art to the more realistic style because in this type of game I want to know what I can click on. I've played some games where I didn't know what something was or that I was supposed to click there until the hint button told me.

No voices. And I really don't remember the music, if there was any. If there is music it was very bland and did not stand out. Or else I had my volume down.

Total time playing according to Steam is 1.8 hours. I did have a little problem figuring something out so some of that is wasted time going back and forth trying things. So it might be an hour or little over for fast players.

It's a good price for the length and content. Actually I've seen similar games priced higher, so this one is a bargain.

The dialogue in "Stranded in Time" is very awkward and was clearly not checked by a native English speaker.

There are two separate hint systems and also a journal which you need to keep clicking between to be reminded of your quest. Even though you are sometimes given multiple simultaneous quests, the hints do not take account of this.

Clicking at the bottom of the screen to travel does not always take you back to the previous location, which makes it hard to visualise an overall map.

This is reasonably priced, but you can complete it in about an hour. I recommend you put your loose change towards a more substantial and polished game.

This was a very short and sweet game. For the chump change that this game costs it is a pleasant, casual game.
I love the cute look of this game. The colors are bright and the game looks well put together. I found the soundtrack to be very pleasant, just the right kind for puzzle solving. This game seemed to straddle between being a hidden object game and a puzzle game. I really liked the simple story and the hidden object aspects. But the puzzles....I hated them. When the store page says that they are challenging, they weren't kidding. I'm good with regular P&C puzzles in which you got to combine interesting items together in order to accomplish goals. These puzzles are of the traditional variety, and I am terrible at those. Luckily, there is a skip option. So if you get tired of spending over 10 to 15 minutes on a puzzle like I did many times in this game, you can skip it, and continue with the story. This one aspect almost ruined the game for me, but I can't give this game a negative rating just because I'm not the brightest when it comes to traditional puzzles. I guess my main gripe is that the looks casual, sounds casual, but does not have the puzzles of a casual game. I intend to replay this at a later time and actually finish those puzzles! But first, my brain has to stop hurting.

Everytime I saw a Hidden Object games I always wanted to say NO!
But for this game I think it's really good for the price.. The game itself is easy and there are many mini games that you can play and skip if you don't want to play it..

This game is short (I skipped most of the dialogue), the story is about time travelling (a typical hidden object story base).
The professor and young woman together with writer Nick found a hidden time machine beneath an abandoned church.

Well kinda fun for awhile.

The story is fun and different dialogue creates an immersive atmosphere that kept me intrigued enough. The game is cartoon style with static frames and drag and drop inventory. The characters are both charming and intelligent especially Female Protagonist. I suggest you to but this game, you'll be enjoying and appreciating this great little game with a nice variation of the theme and the heart touching lines from letter by uncle was amazing.

A very short but charming casual point-and-click adventure.

Note that this is not a hidden-object game. The puzzle mini-games are nice and of medium difficulty. The dialog is a bit hokey, but for the most part cute. Music is pleasant, graphics are unimpressive but adequate.

I really loved the ending! Simple and straightforward, but somehow found a way to tug at my poor little heart strings.

A very nice little puzzel game.
Nothing brain shattering, and the story not exactly gripping, it is INCREDIBLY short, but it's definitely worth a run through.
The art style is refreshing, though a variation in styles towards the end made a some what uncanny valley effect.
All in all, it was pleasant and not bad at all.
Longer would have been nice, but won't hold it against it.

Stranded in Time is little point & click adventure game. It takes around 1.5-2 hours to complete the game(in case you don't abuse the hint and skip buttons, which are rechargeing pretty fast).

In it you follow Olivia, which is on a visit to her uncle Peter after she was contacted by him. The reason of the call was the discovery that Nick have done and then you go "on the adventure"(gonna keep it spoiler free).

The design is colourful, soundtrack is small and changes depending on the zone where you are. Sadly there is no voice acting, the dialog is text based. Buuuut the mini-games are harder than your average.

For the price tag that it has or if you find it in a bundle it is totally worth it.

If you are interested in this aspect the game has trading cards, but no achievements.

In the trailer you can watch ~ 1/2 of game :D
Not a bad game :
- Short
- LOTS of location change
- Nice graphics
- Basic puzzles
- Need more clue and help info, and there shouldn't be that easy to use SKIP button so it'd be more challenging
- Skipping doesn't cost anything and recharge fast

This game was pretty good over all. The game mechanics were good except that you had to close your backpack to select some things. The dialogue and puzzles were pretty juvinile. This will be a good game for my 8 year olds, but it barely held my attention. One big plus is the hint feature. This removed the need for a walkthrough and removed the frustration with being stuck. I didn't use it often, but when I did it was usually because the item was tiny or hard to see. This would have been super frustrating without the hint feature. It's brief but accomplishes the goal it set out to accomplish. It meets my $1 per hour of game play rule when on sale.

6/10 Good but juvinile

This genre of games is the cancer of Steam.
This game looks like they hired an underpayed graphic designer to draw the environment and a couple of characters with few facial expressions.
And then gave candy to a 5 year old girl to write the story.

A nice, but short, game. The puzzles were different and alittle challenging. I would recommend if on sale.

The good.
Nice presentation and art style.
Some challenging puzzles.
Cheap.

The bad.
Very short. (I've 2 hours on record as I left it running when I went to cook and have dinner)
You need to revisit the same locations time and time again.
A lot of text to read through as no voice overs.
It's an adventure game that feels like a HOG, with very little HO in it.
Some translation errors.

Overall, it's not terrible, and it comes from a small indie studio. For the price, or better value if on sale, it's worth spending an hour or two in.
