EndWar Online closing on October 31st

Generals,

It’s with great sadness that we must announce that EndWar Online will be officially closing on October 31st, 2016. We have announced this ahead of time in order to encourage you to enjoy the game for as long as possible before it closes.

Know that this was not an easy decision for us. We’ve shared your passion for EndWar Online and enjoyed working together with a very dedicated community (that’s you!). Since the game has launched, we have put a lot of effort into EndWar Online’s development and your contribution and support have made it all worthwhile. Sure, we’ve been through some ups and downs, but those shared memories and emotions show how a common passion can bring developers and fans closer together in the end. Knowing that you have enjoyed our game is the reason why everyone at Ubisoft loves working in this industry. Thank you for this!

The shutdown of the game will not take place straight away, but on October 31st, which is still 2 months away. For as long as EndWar Online will be available, we want to enable you to play it and say goodbye. We also want to provide you with an opportunity to get in touch with your friends or guild members and make sure you can stay connected in the future. Before the game closes on October 31st, we’ll perform the following preparations:

First, immediately following this announcement we will close the primary shop in which you could purchase virtual currencies and items for real money.
The in-game shop will remain accessible, however, allowing you to convert currencies and purchase content with what you already own or will still gain from the game. Please feel free to spend all your resources, currencies and items in the game now.
Go crazy and have fun, try whatever you always wanted to do in the game and enjoy it while it lasts. As a parting gift, there will be a permanent shop discount starting right now. Once the game is closes on October 31st, all remaining resources, items and currencies in the game will be gone.
In line with our terms of sale, we hereby inform you that there will be no refund of any virtual currency you have spent in the game or for any resources you still may own on shutdown date, nor any conversion of any remaining virtual currency to another game.

Once October 31st arrives, we will continue with our final steps. This includes closing the game, its website, and social media channels. They will not be accessible to you any longer. That said, you will still be able to reach our customer support team through the Ubisoft support website here.

If you are already looking for a new game to play, this might be of interest for you: Ubisoft is currently celebrating its 30th anniversary with a special offer in the Ubisoft Club. For the rest of the year, each month you will get a classic Ubisoft game for free. All you’ll need is your Uplay account, so log in at club.ubi.com and download away!

We would like to express our sincerest gratitude to you, our players! At the same time, we also thank all teams, departments, internal and external development studios for their ongoing support and participation, which enabled us to create and operate this game!

About This Game

Tom Clancy’s Endwar Online is the RPG strategy spinoff game continuing the story of Tom Clancy’s Endwar.

Set in the aftermath of a massive global war between the biggest superpowers on Earth, resources and money have run dry and the factions are on the brink of collapse. As one of the last leaders, you are tasked with rebuilding your homeland and spearheading the final battle for all that is left. Create a hero general, build and lead an army made of the finest commanders and weapons, engage in challenging single player missions to reclaim your homeland from rogue armies, and put your skills to the ultimate test in intense player vs. player battles against the other factions’ generals.

Key Features:
  • Side with one of the 3 factions: the mighty U.S. Joint Strike Force, the high-tech European Enforcer Corps, or the ruthless Russian Spetsnaz. Conquer territories to reclaim your homeland in the PvE campaign, and join the global power struggle in PvP modes.
  • Strategically allocate command points, master the combat chain, and combo unit abilities to vanquish your enemies. EndWar Online combines the depth of RTS games with the heroes and abilities variety of MOBA games into a revolutionary, action-packed strategy gameplay.
  • Unlock, recruit, and train hero commanders from 9 different unit classes, each with their own unit, skills and attributes! With more than 80 commanders, you must battle overtime to recruit, train, and master them all to their full potential.
  • Level up your hero and your commanders through conquering territories and defeating other generals.
  • Use the precious loot you obtain from battles, and research new weapons and technology to reinforce your army and give your soldiers the edge during battles.
  • Rebuild your capital city from the ashes in to the ultimate military Head Quarters. Restore the energy supply and start rebuilding and upgrading new zones to unlock more unit classes, more modes, and increase your unit stats!

Update: 25 Augt 2016 = This Game is closing it's servers on 31 October 2016, according to in-game gm posts.

Tom Clancy’s EndWar® Online is a Free to Play web browser game using the EndWar name, artwork, storyline and lore. It worked, looks good, sounds ok, played good. Has an OK tutorial. It gives you 6 Real Time hours of free VIP to start with. Has Huge amount of single player PVE missions, You can farm missions over and over for rewards and XP. Choose between 3 starting factions and you unlock another faction at reaching lvl 20 and lvl 40, each faction is the same gameplay wise. Level cap looks to be 60.

Has sort of rock, paper, scissor unit tactics, but if you upgrade your unit well above the level of the mission then does not matter. Unit upgrades does not require Gold (currency), but increase in cost of energy and fame as they get higher level. As F2P, you get increasing timers on everything. Can earn majority of your General's XP, some gold and fame by completing daily missions and reaching goals, so your General can make a level for a few hours of work every day. Has Daily Login rewards, including fame and gold.

Has different 4 PVP modes ( 2 of them is quite Fair and AI controlled). As long as you don't care about playing against other players, this game is good for wasting time.
You can close the two in-game ads that open when you start the game and spending some gold is benificial. You can earn enough gold playing, to have enough to buy stuff in the store that is discounted, and earn other coin in the PVP matches. Has auto-battle tickets that you can earn or buy to have the AI complete a battle for you, and extra-loot tickets. Has training books for feeding xp to your commanders and gear upgrade tokens for your unit gear.

Try it, maybe you might like it. Looks like you can play for FREE if you have willpower, patience, and time to waste.

This game was NOT as bad as the Negative Reviewers are complaining about. I never played the original EndWar games or read Tom Clancy's books, so i didn't care about that. I have not been Stiffed by Ubisoft company either, so not biased. I have reached lvl 43 without needing to pay real money, just under halfway through the PVE campaign and have the full set of commanders.

This game can be called Pay to Win, since you can buy with real money massive amounts of Fame and Gold and VIP. That means: - You can buy all the commanders early. - Unlock all the commanders powers early. - Buy Class A gear crafting packs so you can have better gear at 33 to 40 early. - You can buy energy and upgrade your energy production. - You can upgrade your unit zone Faster as long as you have energy. - Give you more auto-battle tickets and extra loot tickets. - Buy 10 more searches.

OMG! The game is a facebook style game where the devs want your money. It is ridiculous to see this kind of game style on Steam, I would expect this from facebook. Unless you need your hand held throughout gameplay AND you want to spend money, then by all means waste your time and money. I would never and will never recommend a game like this. Steam should be ashamed for having this on their site. Greedy!

I played the original game.
It's still pretty good (I play the game to this day)
I see Tom Clancy's Endwar Online.
I see it's free to play.
Downloaded the game.
Started to play the game.
Saw the gameplay.
Deleted the game.

Play Tom Clancy's Endwar, it's much better than this. :^)

I understand that the nature of Free-to-play games is to charge for extra in-game items but holy hell. This is the most relentless of all the games underneath that paradigm, with pop-ups telling you to JOIN VIP, and strategically placed "BUY ME" buttons that show after LEVEL UP screens. It was when I got to the "FREE VIP" bit where I had enough, and tried to close that window in the game.

It wouldn't let me close the window until I "joined VIP" for a free measly 6 hours.
So I closed the game and never opened it again.

As for gameplay, it's your standard Plants vs Zombies mentaility, summon tanks and helicopters to fight other tanks and helicopters while clicking on power ups to do a thing, and then be assaulted by a "ALL OF YOUR ENEMY'S UNITS HAVE BEEN DESTROYED, CLICK TO WIN" button which makes you win. Rinse, repeat, rinse again, and then repeat until you are fed up with the game.

The game can be played in single player and multiplayer, but understand that this is fundementally a c l i c k e r game, and a "pay to advance" one at that.

The only positive in all of this is that you don't need UPlay. Yet.

At first I was super excited, I had good memories of EndWar back when it first came out.

This is not that game.
This a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ "mobile" strategy game that uses those old assets.

So ♥♥♥♥ it and ♥♥♥♥ who made this game.

Remember that game EndWar that came out in 2009? well Ubisoft doesn't. I downloaded this game hoping that it would be like the original EndWar but while it was downloading i began to lose hope. This is just a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ facebook game that was realeased on steam that really isn't worth your time or money. You might as well go and buy the original Tom Clancy's EndWar, it's on sale now for like $5. It is a bit dated but you will still have more fun then playing this pile of ♥♥♥♥.

If you're here because you enjoyed Tom Clancy's End War (or anything Tom Clancy)... turn back now. This is a dumbed down "cookie-cutter" game created to grab your money.

This is a money-grabber game that will push ads in your face for their "premium membership." In the end I felt that investing money into this game would never be worthwhile and the adverts simply make it annoying to attempt to play.

You have up until level 10 to learn the tutorial and have an easy go at it. After level 10 you are bombarded with ads. Even for a free-to-play game I found that the gameplay was severely lacking and I felt that this game was not worth any more time.

It's unfortunate that UBI has to follow the way of EA and put garbage games like this out on the market when they could be using their resources for new and innovative AAA games.

This is just another slap on the face of anyone and everyone who played the original, and who loved the Tom Clancy style of game.
This is a hand-holding simulator.
This is more on-the-rails than a quick-time-event.
This is a bigger let-down than The Division, Homefront: The Revolution, and probably just as badly as Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare.
This shouldn't even be tagged as "strategy", let alone a game from the "Tom Clancy" era.

0/100000000000, this isnt even worth the money of a F2P game.
