“...has a lot to offer in terms of gameplay, story, and sound...it brings original ideas and a good dose of personality to a genre that often focuses too much on just shooting people in the face.”

About This Game

A common legend pervades the galaxy-that of a powerful, highly intelligent ancient race that will one day deliver the universe. They are known as Humans.
Some claim they are the messiah. Others believe they exist only in the imaginations of the young. The Seekers, however, know Humans exist and believe they are an enemy that must be destroyed. Under the guise of benevolent explorers, Seekers comb the universe and eradicate any Human colonies they find. Until now.
Working with award-winning science fiction author Orson Scott Card, GlyphX Games has created a gripping storyline that will thrust gamers into an incredible intergalactic saga.
The Advent of Humanity Begins...

It's an old game to be sure, but its still an amazing game. Humans can essentially become gods, you gain powers through the course of the game that makes guns completely obsolete. Its got a great storyline and it's completely worth a look!

I've played this game through 3 times. I love the story, the gameplay, the music. It does have it's bugs since the company basically didn't bother with fixing them due to the money they lost, due to the bugs, and reviews.

This is a guilty pleasure and I wish they would make another.

One of the best sci-fi, I've ever played. Simple control, rich story (written by O. S. Card) and awesome soundtrack (made by T. Tallarico) make this game very profound experience. Sadly this game is unappreciated and underrated, so they cancel rest of trilogy. We must hope, that Advent Rising will rise again. ;)

One of my most favorite games, sadly ended with its first chapter because of a stupid Red Crayon in the Xbox. Storyline is fantastic (Star Wars meets Halo), Combat is fun (slightly reminescent of 3rd person Unreal/Halo mix). It is a little Glitchy but still stable enough to play.

I do recommend getting the Advent Revising UnOfficial Patch that fixes video playback (especially on Vista/7 or higher).
