Reviews

“The smooth gameplay and solid production quality greatly enhances the playing experience, and special appreciation is due to the tandem play between James and Silvia. Both are worthy protagonists – intelligent, mature and practical in their own ways – and their subtle but undeniable chemistry shines past the blatant conflicts.”
4/5 – Adventure Gamers

“What's particularly convincing, in general, is the concatenation of events, which results in a very enjoyable plot, in addition to an interesting psychological development of the two main characters.”
7/10 – Spazio Games

“The graphics are consistently well drawn and full of detail, and I particularly enjoyed the orchestral/choral soundtrack in Shadows on the Vatican. The voice acting is convincing and varied, and some of the character clichés are amusing.”

Well, I think this second act is vastly superior to the first one, so those who didn't like too much the previous episode should reconsider their opinion. It's very well paced, the events are more dramatic and cinematically intriguing (sometimes bordering mature content); the ability to switch the controlled character is a welcome feature. And the puzzles seem to have improved. A special mention to the dialogues, cleverly written and certainly a strong point in this adventure.

its a nice litle pointnclick, with a big part of dialogues, mostly easy puzzles, and a few hard ones, for the price i realy cant complain. the only negative i see, is that the story... is slowly developing and is somewhat boring to me :( but still entertaining enough to keep me going, hoped it gets better in act 2, didnt realy happen, so i hope for more tention and exotic places in act 3 :)

fuuuuuuuuuuucking bugs,
you may not finish the game just because a bug that cause the map not be shown totally,so you may not arrive the target place and continue the story.or sometimes you may not click some important place due to bugs which will be another reason that can't let you continue the story...
the music is only thing that can let you happy for sometime,
if you want to finish it,do not play the full HD version.
the act 1 is even worse than act 2
goodbye,i hope you can test it for a long time, and i hope you can make a better game.
good story cant be enjoyed only due to bugs
what a pity! !!!!

I will tell the same thing that I told for act I.

The game is very good. I enjoy playing it. It's about 4 hours to play. It's classic adventure game with logical puzzles. The puzzles are not too hard, but just hard enough. The ambient music is awsome, I love music in the capena church. The actor voices are good enough. The story is great and good implemented with puzzles. You can read some books to know more about the story. The dialogs are good and classic written. I love the inventory. Its easy and functional. If you try to give something to someone and it's not correctly, then it appears red x in inventory, cool staff.

Can not reccomend. The game is extremely slow to load and crashed within 20 minutes. I don't get it. The graphics are all static single framed and there should be no burden on your graphics card or CPU based upon the minimum requirements. My system far exceeds in every aspect but It was painfully slow to load from one scene to the next.
Finally that black screen between scenes became permanent after about 20-25 minutes in. DONE. Got my refund.

Brilliant little game, best adventure experience in years and very moderately priced.

My only concern for this series is the development rate. The devs seems to go for a bi-yearly release cycle, and that is a long wait for these 3-4 hour chunks of greatness, it also means that we have to wait a long time for the conclusive fourth episode.

A Story Driven Point & Click Investigation Discovery Game
https://youtu.be/qkBlqegAN5A

+ An interesting story and unraveling plot
+ A mix of comic style cutscenes, and a well created 3D world
+ Lots of character driven dialogue
+ Dialogue choices
+ Figuring out what to do next was fun and somewhat challenging

- The voice acting could improve in some areas
- Somewhat vague story-telling issues especially in the beginning (It was hard to tell what exactly happened at the beginning of the game...it seems like your character was out to kill a guy (priest) but while getting to him a car almost ran into her, and that car happened to be another hitman going after the priest, so instead of killing the priest your character decides to protect him by killing the other hitman, but somehow during this like 5 second timeframe, the priest stole your gun and hid it under his pillow "hours ago".... I was just scratching my head a lot)
- The walking animation is extremely slow
- The background story is pretty confusing for new players of the series
- It's hard to tell what to do during some parts, and sometimes the solution seems pretty strange and unlikely.

Overall it's a pretty good point & click game with an interesting story and characters.

This game is fun to play, has an intriguing plot and can be a bit of a pain sometimes in the solve-the-puzzle-department :)
Can recommend this game though !

The second in the series and having enjoyed the first probably a year ago I'm glad to see act 2 arrive on steam and continue.
After a brief synopsis of act 1 the game picks up right where the first left off. Like the first its all fully voice acted and overall done well. Only on a couple occasion did I think it was slightly over the top but even then it somehow seemed to fit with the comic style and added to the charm.

Some areas and characters carry over from act 1 along with some new. The environments are nice clean quality HD rendered scenes though somewhat low polygon character models and sometimes little slow animations are not as nice but by no means an issue. Although the faces can sometimes appear creepy :).
Being a point & Click the controls are simple and effective. Left-click interact & right-click look/examine is basically all you need to get by and you can press space to highlight spots or objects to interact with. Works great and including the ability to double click to skip to other screens/areas saves the games from ever feeling sluggish.
My run-through came out around the 3 hours mark , roughly similar to my playtime with act 1, and I didn't really get stuck at any points.

I find it hard to give any kind of recommendation either way being only 1 part of a series. My opinions and experience is still only based only on a part of the whole (half if include act 1) but I've enjoyed this and the first act so far and I am eager to play the next instalments so they must be doing something right.
This was another good 'part' of what I hope will be a good complete whole and so far I find the story and characters intriguing and gripping. Bring on the next act.

An unusual and bold-themed (especially for Italians developers) adventure game, which clearly has the potential to be a very interesting gaming experience. We really hope that Act III and Act IV will soon become available, further unfolding and completing the intriguing story.
