It basically is what it says it is. It adds even more blood effects to the game. However, the game is already bloody enough. The added effects make it hard to see units when they are under fire as the blood effects start to take up the whole screen and the gibbing is a bunch of pixelated garbage that fades away after a few seconds. Although it's really cheap, I would skip this one. I ended up turning it off since the effects were just not that good.

I really would not get this. It's not pretty or visceral, instead looking corny and poorly done. I often times find that when my squad of marines is asssaulted by a unit of genestealers, the clouts of blood just spew and spew and spew, obscuring everything and preventing you from seeing the combat. It looks stupid. Don't get it even if it becomes free.

Its not like the blood DLC in Shougun 2 were there is real content you get, new gibts, blood, bloody armour/weapons etc

Here the only thing you get is a very very very cheap sprite effect that overlays the animations of your characters.

Good job GW, you squeeze again without effort money out of me.

I don't understand all those negative reviews. This add-on is pretty nifty, considering the fact that it adds a massive element of gore to a game which clearly deserves it. The huge blood splatters makes the game more intense, considering that whenever you butcher an enemy, their limbs, torso, heads... well ever body part just explodes on contact. So, this blood add-on makes a lot of sense and makes the game more game-realistic.

Nice addition I suppose ~ I only bought it because I'm a Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War fanboy.

SEGA... Relic... we know it won't happen, but please use some of the revenue from this DLC to pay ONE person to fix the Commissar sound bug. I get that game developers have to dig through source code and apply a universal patch to make changes to the game, but if I can sit down for a few hours and fix the sound bug as well as make many other additions and adjustments to the game, I'm sure you could pay one person a measly sum of money to fix some silly bugs that should have been fixed a long time ago.
