This game is alot of fun. Pleasant to look at and very engaging. I can't speak for everyone who plays, but I personally find the pvp enjoyable. Unfortunately, there is alot of hackers / griefers in the community. Hackers that have a broad horizon from simply joining your game, floating in the air as a dark spirit and cosplaying as certain characters (Personally seen hackers come into my world as Solaire, and I admit it was funny) to straight griefing. Hackers are a dime a dozen, and most have nothing better to do. Half the amount of time i put in this game has been spent in an area called Anor Londo, either invading or defending from dark spirits. I'm sure everyone has different ways they get enjoyment out of this particular game, let it be invading, helping other players as a phantom, killing bosses, fending off dark spirits, etc. This particular area, Anor Londo, is where I spend majority of my time playing. It is also where I experience the most dark spirits, and the most hackers. I've had the same hacker invade my world every time I've played, for the past month. His steam profile would change, but not his dark souls name. I've played with friends on the same map, Who would have hackers join his game, and kill the area's boss so my friend would be unable to pvp in said area until he replays the game (basically, grind just to get back to the same level, which is more hours spent for no reason other then a hacker wanted to be a ♥♥♥♥).

If you choose to play this game for the pve; With your friends who want a challenge, or just by yourself, it is great. If you choose to play this game for pvp; I cannot recommend purchasing this game for just that one element. Hackers are a good majority here, and they will make it a goal to grief you. A great way to waste your time & money.

Dark Soul 3 is very linear compared to Dark Souls. You will not get lost and stumbled into a much higher level by accident. I cannot comment on part 2 because I have not played it. However DS 3 is easier than DS 1. Not to say that the game is not hard but compared to the orginal, it is much easier and more forgiving. The speed of the game is also faster. The environments are beautiful and immersive. Enemies are unquie and fun to take down. A very quality finale to the souls series

Thats it. I'm done playing this game... until the DLC comes out. Did it all. All questlines, all endings, everything. I'm done. It's over.

Great game. Amazing game. It is a bit linear compared to the other DS games but it improves on it so much. Totally worth your money and time playing the game.

Dark Souls III

Fanservice Souls III is a game where you are tasked with bringing a bunch of old dudes to their jumbo Lazyboy chairs, so that the barbecue may commence. Along the way you fight a bunch of skrublords, become bros with a vegetable, get staggered by a rat even when you wear a full Havel's set, see a cheater roleplaying as an attack helicopter, black crystal out of a gank squad's world, become the Dragonborn get cool-♥♥♥ dragon powers, and express admiration of the star around which the earth orbits. Dating simulators don't get much better than this.

42.5/42 IGN "why is every freaking chest a freaking mimic?"

-----------------------------------------------

Edit: Since this joke review somehow became popular, I'll give some brief and serious pros and cons (and nitpicks too!) about what I liked and didn't like about Dark Souls III

Pros:

+Smooth, SMOOTH combat
+Unbelievably good music, probably the best in the series
+CO-OP is the best it's ever been, password feature makes connecting with friends insanely easy
+New Focus Bar is awesome, and choosing whether to keep your estus upgrades in your HP healing one or new blue FP restoring one adds a fair amount of depth
+Weapon arts, while not every weapon has a different attack/ability, is a great addition
+Great level design, lots of well-hidden secrets
+Bosses are amazing, best in the series, no "bad" bosses whatsoever
+Keyboard & Mouse controls are finally good, though sadly it still uses Xbox button icons

Cons:

-Too much fanservice, not to mention some of it doesn't even make sense
-Despite the fantastic level design, the world itself is very linear, lacking the interconnection of DS1
-The poise system, while not bad, makes heavy armor overwhelmingly underpowered
-Invasions suck, way too many disadvantages for the invader, 7/10 times the host has at least one phantom
-Covenants are disappointing, 2 of them are exactly the same just in different areas
-Armor cannot be upgraded, which is a shame because I was hoping they would add the ability to infuse armors with different elements
-Powerstancing is gone :(
-The anticheat system is terrible, at launch innocent players were getting banned, and even though it improved since then players are still getting warning messages for no reason
-The graphical options barely make a difference in terms of performance

Nitpicks:
=Some enemies like the Pus of Man rely too much on brute force to kill rather than strategy and patience
=TOO MANY GOSHDANG MIMICS
=Jailers are the most annoying thing to ever exist
=Weapon balance is a heck of a lot better than it was at launch, but some weapons still need buffs or nerfs
="Does not open from this side"

-----------------------------------------------

Overall, Dark Souls III is an outstanding game, a fitting end to a fantastic series, and a must-have for Dark Souls fans or people who like rewarding RPGs. While it did get quite a few things wrong, the many things it did right more than make up for it.

It's Dark Souls 3 so if you're a fan of the series then you'll know exactly what to expect:

- Awesomely responsive and intuitive combat.
- You'll die a lot.
- An immensely detailed and dark fantasy setting.
- Loads of cool weapons and gear to dress your dude or lady up in.
- You'll pick up items with vague and cryptic descriptions and think "What the hell is this and what the hell does it do?"
- You'll die a lot.
- It's HARD but fair and nowhere near as difficult as people who don't play the series think it is.
- You'll die and shout at your screen something like "daaaaaaamn!" and then come back and try again about 25 times.
- There will be huge, scary bosses to fight and you'll think to yourself "I'll never beat this" and then on the 10th try you'll beat it (Summon someone to help, no one will judge you) and scream at your monitor.
- You'll reach that point in every Souls game where you have to bite the bullet and do some grinding to get STRONGER!
- You'll probably spend more time exploring wiki's than playing the actual game.

So Yeah, it's the Dark Souls we all love and it's pretty great.

A white phantom invaded my game while I was fighting some enemies. He watched from afar, clapping and lying down as I ungraciously beat everything around me to death. Once I was done I approached the phantom. He bowed and two-handed a shield. I bowed as well and two handed my greatshield. We fought using only our shields, nothing around us but the sound of clanking and tiny blood spurts as we slowly damaged each other. In the end, I was victorious, but I will never forget you kind shield man.

If you came here for a review you came to the wrong place, but if you want a recipe for chocolate crisp cookies you came to the right place.

1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
3/4 cup packed dark brown sugar
3/4 cup sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1 (12-ounce) bag semisweet chocolate chips, or chunks
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon fine salt

Evenly position 2 racks in the middle of the oven and preheat to 375 degrees F. (on convection setting if you have it.) Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone sheets. (If you only have 1 baking sheet, let it cool completely between batches.)

Put the butter in a microwave safe bowl, cover and microwave on medium power until melted. (Alternatively melt in a small saucepan.) Cool slightly. Whisk the sugars, eggs, butter and vanilla in a large bowl until smooth.

Whisk the flour, baking soda and salt in another bowl. Stir the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients with a wooden spoon; take care not to over mix. Stir in the chocolate chips or chunks.

Scoop heaping tablespoons of the dough onto the prepared pans. Wet hands slightly and roll the dough into balls. Space the cookies about 2-inches apart on the pans. Bake, until golden, but still soft in the center, 12 to 16 minutes, depending on how chewy or crunchy you like your cookies. Transfer hot cookies with a spatula to a rack to cool. Serve.

I like the game, there is no denying that, especially since I’m close to finishing my fourth playthorugh, yet I can’t be ignorant just because of that. The greatness of every component that makes Dark Souls III is crippled by its poor technical execution and I’m afraid this is a result of the fans’ and journalists’ attitude towards the game. Praising without questioning has given the developers a free pass with the end result being countless bugs and problems that went unfixed throughout an entire series making their way into its finale.
Dark Souls III is a good game that combines most of the great elements of its predecessors into one final blow. The impact of the finale is subject to each gamer perception towards the series. In my case, I said that the best way to improve on the series is to find the balance between its two predecessors while focusing on fixing the problems of the past and Dark Souls III did only half of that. How important each half is? I guess the time spent playing the game can be interpreted as an answer to that.

Pros:
+ Impressive artistic design
+ Epic soundtrack
+ Mysterious and captivating story
+ Good level design
+ Refined combat system
+ Greatest roster of boss battles and the best difficulty curve in the series
+ Atmospheric
+ Good itemization
+ Fun PvP

Cons:
- Bugs from the previous games made it into this one with new additions
- Some issues with mouse & keyboard
- Linear world design with a few exceptions
- Perhaps too much fan service
- The graphics quality and graphics related problems
- Little incentive to continue with NG+ and onwards
- Weapons balance issues due to Poise stat having no effect
- The lack of proper support for the Online component
- Annoying lag in Online play

DARK SOULS™ III

All the bosses are so epic that you feel honored instead of mad getting killed by them.
Especially Soul of Cinder

And the bosses song theme are so epic that you would just running away from the bosses to enjoy the music and watching their badass combos! 10/10

This is going to sound crazy coming from me, someone who loves DS 1 and liked DS2, but I don't think DS3 is worth buying if you're doing for pvp.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tgnsx3dgx1I

Oroboro breaks this down very well in this video. My opinion is that there is way too much of a disadvantage for invaders unless they use the same strategy every time and abuse high damage weapons. Things like magic, pyromancy and miracles are mostly unviable, outside of duals. The lack of Poise also means that armor is just cosmetic now, when in past souls what you wore mattered.

Also there is only one major dueling area outside of NG+ which is outside the Pontif boss room. There is no arena, which is something both DS1 and DS2 BOTH HAD! Yet fromsoft didn't add an arena in DS3 launch.

For me personally after playing through the game a few times I can't say it has the same lasting appeal for me, since I play for pvp invading mostly. That with the fact that almost all weapons, techniques and caster builds are unviable.

If you personally don't mind these problems then DS3 will be fun for you, but for me, I think I will take a break until the DLC lands or From fixes the problems with the game.
