Nightshift Legacy: The Jaguar's Eye is the sequel to Nightshift Code. For those who have played Nightshift Code, you'll already have guessed that Nightshift Legacy is a hidden object game with puzzles mixed in between hidden object scenes. Basically, the story starts off with our heroes Mike and Isabel off on a search for the Jaguar's Eye. While Nightshift Code focused more on Mike and his dad, Nightshift Legacy focuses more on Isabel and her family history and how the Jaguar's Eye is related.

There are a few differences between the two games which I'll point out. This time, with the hidden object scenes, there is a timer so if you don't find all of the objects within the time limit, you'll have to start that scene all over again. Also, there is now a map section which you can access and that allows you to travel to certain locations, present and past. I feel like this is an improvement over Nightshift Code, as that game lacked this feature. In addition, the puzzles are different this time, have more variety, and are more challenging. They range from decipering symbols to reconstructing keys in order to lockpick into certain places.

As to my review, I liked this game as much as Nightshift Code. I found the puzzles challenging, as I mentioned before, and I liked the hidden object scenes. The story was fun and engaging as well, getting to follow Mike and Isabel on their adventure. The art is in the same comic book style, which I found to be appropriate. The only negative I can give (and it isn't even really a negative to me although it might be to others) is that the music tracks were the same as for the first game so there wasn't variety there.

Overall, though, I enjoyed Nightshift Legacy very much and liked the ending to the game. There are a total of 6 chapters in the game so depending on how well you are at finding objects and solving puzzles, you'll either be quick or slow at finshing story mode. However, there is an endless mode where you can play scenes under a timed mode without there being a story so you can enjoy that, too. Definitely give this game a try if you like the hidden object genre and don't mind solving puzzles. ^^

This is an excellent game; I had many entertaining, sometimes frustrating, hours playing this game. Ultimately I completed the levels and embraced the challange I faced. It was well worth the cost for the hours of enjoyment I received.

Beautiful HOG with a great story...

Nightshift Legacy is the sequel of Nighshift Code. Our two friends, Mike and Isabella, are searching for a lost treasure when family matters from Isabella are happening. After her great-aunt died after a burglar searched for something, Isabella will learn what happened to her grandmother and grandfather, their lives before, during and after the Spanish Civil War in the thirties...

The story is very great as you're alternating between the present and the past, and several countries: Spain, Russia, Mexico...

As the game is belonging to the era of list of items on list of items, it could bore easily new players, however, the story is strong enough to make you want to finish it. Besides, there are some interesting minigames. Also, the graphics are also very good, the story being told in comic style but the scenes are a little more realistic. The soundtrack is also very strong.

If you don't have it, for me, it's a must-have.
