Greatest game I ever done did play. Allow me to bring you point by point through my experience with this game.

I clicked play to start and the game booted up. I was met with the soothing sounds of a microwave engaging in passioante love with a hair dryer and from that moment I knew I was in for the greatest gaming experience of my life.

I looked at the menu and saw listed in the order I saw them, New Game, Loading, and Continue. You read that right dear reader, Loading. In my haste to begin my thrilling journey I clicked New Game without even CONSIDERING the possibility of what clicking Loading may do.

I was spawned in a room, dimly lit and possibly housed within the ♥♥♥♥ of Optimus Prime. After taking in my surroundings I utilized my W key to walk forward. To my delight I did in fact move in a very forwardly direction just as I had expected to do. By utilizing my mouse I was able to look around and properly observe the grey-silver room I had found myself in. The sensitivity for the mouse felt too high so I pressed the escape button to pause the game and change the options, but alas there was no options menu. That is when it dawned on me that who was I to tell the game how sensitive the mouse should be? T'was the game who dictated things and I was not to impede upon their vision!

From there I walked through several rooms, connected by short hallways, until I reached a room with three doors in it. Naturally I pressed the E button on one of the doors but I found that only caused me to lean to the right while standing in front of the door. I sytematically pressed every button on my keyboard but none of them seemed to do anything. I tried this in front of every door and none of them opened. I soon discovered that there was a door on the far side of the room which required a key. Excited to embark on my new quest to find a key, I departed back the way I came.

I searched and I searched to the best of my abilities but I was unable to locate the mysterious key. I walked around for literally minutes unable to find the key I needed to progress. I thought to myself "Is this what the game means when it says it is hard as hell? It must be." It was in that moment I realized. There is no key. This was the ultimate test. The key was truly my sanity and that was a threshold I was refused to cross willingly. Confident in my victory over the game, I closed it and came to write this review.

Writing (and reading probably) this review was more fun that SECTOR and you should never play it.

Worst game ever. I needed a guide to find the first key. The "mutants" look like that horror movie character Pinhead. The weapons suck. The worst amount of space I ever used on my hard drive.

Wow, I tried. I really did. But I couldn't, just couldn't play it.

+ : you have a ton of health (thats just a lol +, I wanted to have at least something here)

- : everything else. Really. sounds, gameplay, controls, graphics, story (if there is any), models, enemies, menu, saves, glitches, list goes on.. Even that, that it's a free game, is - :( EDIT: it stays in your library after uninstall, at least mine did. Still -.

Progress: Did find the key, did find a weapon, did shoot, did kill an enemy, then there are these doors I cannot open, therefore cannot proceed.

"Cheat": (not really) - with help of one of the reviews (cannot shout out the authors name, is too long sorry ^^), I knew that buttons , and . adjust gamma. So basically it lights up the models in game but not environment textures (floor, walls, etc) Very good for finding the key!

anyway -2/10 would not get rejected by doors again

This game is horrific. People actually paid for this? Seriously? First of all the menu is a mess, options are mislabeled. I spent a few minutes at the menu screen because I didn't realize that the miscolored "loading" label actually meant "load game". No options either, no help, more importantly NO KEYBINDING INFO. I couldn't figure out what the "use" key was. This along with no feedback makes it impossible to tell what key does what. I stood in front of a door hitting each key to figure out what the "use" key was with no effect. Took a while to realize that it was an unopenable door that didn't react. Helpfully the "press enter to use" subtitle came up, after you had to hit enter to progress to that stage. Animations are nonexistant. It's like no effort was put into actually playing the game before releasing it.

tl;dr It's like what I would expect from someone who ran through a Unity tutorial, not something on Steam.

Game is the best way to make sure things can still crash on your computer. The most gameplay you will get is clicking out of the error message you get when you press ctrl+alt+del because you got too excited from looking at the black screen for five minutes. It even has the courtesy to close itself afterward, no task manager required. error message/10, would play again.

SECTOR is a FPS game created by Airys Software.
SECTOR is made with FPS creator.
"FPS Creator is an easy to use game maker. You can make a shooter in minutes and you can expand it with extra model packs."
So estimated development time: 1-3 weeks.

When I mentioned that they made SECTOR with FPS creator in steam discussions, they immediately deleted it. While threads that directly insult the developer or called his game ♥♥♥♥ remains intact (which is a good thing). Thankfully they can't delete reviews.

I promised the developer to make a walkthrough video of his game because there were no gameplay videos or let's plays of his game. And the official trailer was bad with huge ACTION! watermark on it (the trailer has been removed). So he provided me a steam key of his game.

SECTOR is a hard game. Enemies have pin-point accuracy, sometimes they get bugged and shoot rapidly which causes immediate death. SECTOR does not have auto-save, so you have to save manually. Sometimes there will be locked doors and you have to literally search every corner of the room in-order to find it, key searching will eat most of your time. SECTOR does not have any graphics options, so if you get FPS drops then tough luck. Sometimes when you load a save, you will immediately die on spawn for no reason, that means you have to use an older save. If you managed to reach as far as me (level 5) then this is your dead-end. "Crates and barrels puzzle" part cannot be completed because of the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ FPSC physics engine. In other FPSC games, they only stick to 3 crates stacking, even 3 crates stacking is buggy, but still manageable. I contacted the developer about this part hoping that he replaces it with a simple stair or elevator, here is his response:
#Discussions_QuoteBlock_Author
Hello,
First, thanks a lot !
Our team didn't find any problem with Crates and barrels puzzle, we solved all the puzzles, they are hard but not impossible, that is sure we finished the game a lot of times to test it.
Thanks."
"They are hard but not impossible"; the YouTube video proves otherwise.

I played a lot of FPS creator games and made some myself. SECTOR is entry-level FPSC game with a price tag slapped on it. SECTOR costed $5 at first, but they raised the price to $7.99 and then put it on "sale" with 10% off.

CONCLUSION: Bad buggy game made by lazy developer using easy game maker (level editor).

Still wandering the level. It works just like an FPS Creator/GameGuru quickie prototype, but not like a game you should pay money for. I have nothing against games created with the revamped FPS Creator engine. I have something against bad games that have nothing new to offer and act as obvious cash-grabs in an attempt to cover base development engine package acquisition costs.

Avoid.

There seem to be several bugs around loading that prevent this game from being playable. Everytime I die and reload a save, I'll mysteriously lose a weapon or all of my ammunition, making forward progress nigh impossible. It's a shame, because the game itself, while simple, isn't terrible otherwise.

Wow, this is the most difficult game ever created - most underrated FPS on steam and it's only 6,99! 6,99! [WorthABuy reference intended]
Okay guys, let's cut the crab...
This is an insult. It's downright awful and I cannot barely understand how this could have possibly been released on steam. They have to get their quality management right. I will stop the rage now and give some reasons.
First off, there is NO options menu. There are no options whatsoever! No resolution, no bindable keys, N.o.t.h.i.n.g.
There is no introduction, no tutorial, nothing that would qualify this as a game title. Note: I will not get into the FPS creator debate that is taking place in the community. But: The game actually is made with FPS creator, the models prove it.
I could list numerous things that would convince the very rest of you, but only some extra info:
It doesn't even matter if you aim or not. The crosshair stays the same, the only thing that changes is that the weapon's model becomes centered and obscures the view - Period.
I will stop here.
Thanks for your attention.
Yours,
B.

Booted up the game. Ran through a corridor found a locked door. I guess I need to go back. Checking all the doors. Hitting all the buttons. Nothing works. I guess I need to go back to the start of the game. I approach the start door and get stuck in place unable to do anything. Jump forward and get pulled back. I've seen all I need to see here. Steam says I need to play the game for 5 minutes to write a review. I go back into the game. Turn around. Hit the door. Same thing happens. There is no escape. That one corridor is all that exists and shall ever exist.

Another game that never should've passed Greenlight but it did and it's name is "SECTOR" !

It only took me a few minutes to figure out this would not going to be a game I would play more than 10 minutes.

Right from the start it feels (and probably is) like a game that has been made in just a few days to earn a few bucks. Apparently this game has been made with FPS creator, which makes it easy to create a game like this. FPS creator comes with ugly graphics, I don't care as long as the game is fun to play, which it's not.

The corridors are all grey or green. Objects placed in the game make no sense whatsoever. The first thing you have to do in the game is find a key, after searching around it appears you can find the grey key somewhere on the grey floor...

The gameplay feels like a failed FPS project from the early 90's but I guess that's FPS Creator's doing.

I would not advice anyone to play this game, let alone pay 5 bucks for it.
